Cooper Hill Inn
Fall has arrived in the Green Mountains. We have had several frosts and the leaves are in their glory. The leaves actually started a little early this year but because of all the wet weather we had over the summer we expect that they will stay on the trees a bit longer than usual and this weekend and next weekend (Columbus Day) should be very very good. The wet weather pretty much wiped out our vegetables but the perennial flowers loved it and the late summer weddings were spectacular! We have added some new peonies to the New Border and a new reblooming Iris bed in the ceremony area so I can't wait for next spring to see how they do. We have about 50 peonies and that gives us a nice display for weddings in late June and early July. The Daylilly Garden is finally big enough to make a pretty display for July and August and the Sweet Peas are doing their usual job in the Wedding Garden behind the new Iris bed.
