Nashua, New Hampshire, has twice earned the designation of "Best Place to Live in America" by Money magazine in 1987 and again in 1997. In 2006 it was ranked in 87th place. Originally settled in the 17th century as a fur-trading town, development later brought in textile industries, until those, too, faded away. Currently Nashua is part of Boston's technology corridor that branched from Hewlett Packard in the 1970s. With scenic rivers, peaceful roads, stable businesses, and quaint shops, Nashua has plenty to do and see, and is located off a main highway that leads to other notable cities in New England.
