Hotel De Guimarães

This is a very upmarket hotel and fully worthy of its' 4 stars. It is very tastefully decorated and furnished. The rooms were excellent and the beds super-comfortable. Towels, bedding etc were all to a very high standard. Plenty of storage space. My husband used the hotel spa swimming pool. He had flip-flops but had to buy a swimming cap (with hotel logo) for EUR4.50 in order to go in. The breakfasts was really nice. Good selection of items, all of high standard. Prepared fresh fruit was lovely. The dining room was large enough for us to escape from a truculent 2 year old. Secure parking excellent.

Signposting in the town to the hotel was a little confusing (satnav had decided to have a panic attack!) but that's not the hotel's fault.

Clean, tidy well located hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Sterile, business hotel with little character. No tea making facilities in the room.

The staff are very friendly especially the older waitress in the restaurant downstairs. The rooms are clean and the bar area is very nice. The hotel is spacious.

The hotel is in Portugal and there is nowhere to sit outside - literally no facility for being outside in the sunshine!!!
