Design of lobbies, eateries, and design and furnishings of room. 1) There is some stains on carpet (below table) in room 607. 2) There is no free PC terminals for a quick and short access of internet (usually available to house guest in European hotels of similar positioning. 3) One front test lady, though pleasantly presentable, was impatient with most guests at counter.
Great, clean and quiet location
Excellent service and quick response to any issues. Front desk spoke English. Rooms are large. Good amount of English tv channels. Bad room service food. We should have complained. Bread was hard as a rock. Soup was cold. Sandwich was not edible. But the food in the restaurant in the morning was good. Buffet is excellent as well.
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was rather clean.
The swimming pool, the location, the garden
All staff were personable and very helpful to non-chinese speakers. Breakfast was delicious, especially the bircher muesli. Room was quiet and comfortable. Hotel was central and convenient for our visit. An extremely enjoyable experience.
Venligt og hjælpsomt personale. Gode restauranter.
Can't beat this location in traffic-plagued Beijing. Convenient for most business destinations -- with the exception of Haidian. Decor is tired and worn and needs a serious refit. Bedside "control panel" was no doubt cool in 1998, but in 2016 the keypad is greasy and glitchy ------ and I'd kill for a 2 amp USB outlet in the same location...
a lot of in-house restaurant to choose ; western or chinese or japanese.and is connecting to mall.
Clean, modern Services over priced. Room - was allocated a twin, must be the only luxury hotel in the world where twin means twin singles not twin queen size. Furthermore, was told no non-smoking room available at 15:00 hrs check-in yet colleague arrived 1 hrs later and was allocated.
Very comfortable and extremely reliable.
nothing much at all, my room was unhygnicsally dirty and the service was the worst I have ever experineced. (I travel an average of 120 to 150 days a year See above
Very nice hotel, friendly stuff and a good location to reach all poi in Beijing. Often fully booked so make sure to have your room in advance.
The hotel staff are very nice. Room are clean and got everything. Internet access and other facilities such as hairdressing and coffee bar are expensive. The room is a bit small.
Nice and clean room Very poor front desk staff I waited about an hour just to bill one invoice rather then three different invoices and at the end I gave it up and paid three different invoice separately.Nothing to do around the hotel.
Very nice hotel, comfortable, valuable only in promotion
The location of this hotel is excellent. They are renovating their rooms, which were looking a little tired. The staff is helpful, despite the limited amount of English spoken. Maps in a Western language available at the concierge would be helpful.
Tidiness and staff was quite helpful. The hot water treatment and shower facilities were attractive The water of the swimming pool was cold. Conciege people didn't know well except booking coach bus. The location was near the end road so it was hard to get taxi and the staff didn't help much. Choose this hotel if have arrangement prepared for car or know the way to subway to get around.
It is a good comfortable hotel with good services. Interior is good with fine restaurants. Main shopping malls are little bit at a distance
Comfortable, very clean, good staff and good ambiance.
The friendliness and efficiecy of the staff. The cleanliness and overall services of the property. nothing
It was next to conference centre where my conference was held
I was unable to find a bellboy to bring my bag to my room when I checked in.
Rooms well appointed Staff attentive Club lounge excellent Pool large and well appointed Nothing :-)
When visiting the Central Business District, the Sofitel offers a great bed in a great room, a welcome addition to the expanding neighbourhood. The exterior of the hotel does not stand out as it is part of a much larger complex. Some improved sinage would be appropriate for such a high-class business hotel.
Decoration is high level.
Booked club level room which included club lounge with happy hour dishes with wine, beer and spirits. Nice selection of dishes to include hot foods. Breakfast also included with club room was the magnum opus with a wide varied offering of classic world breakfast menu. Hmmm..can't say ..not really any gripe other room air on was too cold.
The hotel is well run and the staff is helpful and available. Property of the English language is widespread which makes life easy for foreign travelers. Location is central, minutes away from the underground line that connect to the financial district. English TV channels. An all around very good value for money. For business travelers, don't get to the breakfast after 07:30 am, it can get pretty packed and the service suffers from a bit of overloading.
The cleanliness and the comfort and the quality of food and service
beautifully appointed, very good taste, quiet and clean room, nice bathrooms and pool the staff is very inexperienced and speaks hardly any English, getting the bill was a pain as I extended my stay wiith booking.com and they seem to have much difficulty handling that, they wanted me to sign various bits of credit card slips for part of the payment etc, I forgot something in a drawerer and I had to go back for it, they could not put it in a taxi to be picked up by me elsewhere etc.
(1) Excellent, clean swimming pool & athletic facilities--- outstanding! (2) Extensive and delicious morning buffet breakfast as part of my package. (3) Very helpful staff. No temperature control options (that I could discover) to cool or warm the room to individual preferences.
confort of the room - silent, clean, the swiming pool, the good taste in the decor the staff is very inexperienced, one wake up call came one hour later than requested (and that complicted my day considerably), I had to leave my credit card slip three times
Food was poor. Room service arrived cold on each occasion. Very limited room service menu. Dining options limited. Service in main dining area very poor. Staff spoke more limited English than I would expect.
Nice room Sauna did not work, need to buy $20 hat to go into pool, food drink too enxpensive
The room is clean and the staffs are good nothing
No surprises, just what you expect from a 5-star hotel, convenient but slightly boring. Location, stay here only after you have seen all of Beijing before.
location morning buffet so sucks.
It's a cozy hotel near by yayunchun. It is located almost the mid point of my two business partner's offices, zhongguanchun and wangjing. Only little difficulty for me is that subway station is little far from hotel. It takes 10 minutes walk.
Good room and good gym. Breakfast was excellent. Having to wait around on arrival. Four staff couldnt find our booking and we had to give them credit card details so that if this wasnt the case they would take payment. Was a worry and we still need to check to see if we have been charged twice.
its beside the congress center. No need to Taxi. The stuff in the reception do not speak English good. Its somtimes not easy to communicate with them.
Great hotel with great views Late night bar and foof could be better
This was an amazing hotel and well worth every penny, fantastic staff too.
The split between a local and a global Hotel. Not too americanised. No outside pool to relax - in my point of view very important for business people ..... and last but not least their partners. Second I think after some visits in your hotel you should offer good clients some award
Do not book rooms through this hotel name. There are several hotels that Kayak links to China World. I wound up in the Traders hotel rather than the real China World and it was far less value for the money. Avoid this bait and switch !
Location, facilities, service, design nothing to complain about
Excellent Hotel. Very comfortable, good location, very convenient to underground transport, and excellent friendly staff. The booking process with Kayak was very problematic. The Hotel did not receive the reservation and it was a major. lengthy effort to get it sorted.
I made a reservation for my wife who is Chinese. Upon her check-in a very rude female desk clerk questioned her last name for twent minutes even though it was in her passport. She treated my wife like a tramp. She bothered my wife all night long with little nothings. I will never stay at this Sheraton again.
The location is perfect between the airport and the centre of Beijing. I'm getting used to large Hotels in China with only a few customers. That guarantees you perfect and direct service from the staff. On the other hand this Hotel was very crowded and noisy, but when it was your turn to be helped by the staff there is nothing to add, except that you are not the only customer anymore ;)
Breakfast, hotel staff
The staff was good, room was clean. I've liked european breakfast and really good espresso. 4Stars are reasonable. Hotel location is shown at the map of booking.com wrongly. This hotel is not in the downtown but is located in chaoyang district, which is 15 min drive from the airport. When booking, check the real location with google. We were very upset when found out that the hotel is not placed at Tian'anmen square, the place where I wanted to stay.
