The restaurant was closed throughout my stay in the afternons & evenings for what I consider flimsy excuses (weekends, public holidays). This was difficult for a family visit; had to go outside to get lunch & dinner. If you go there, don't do it on a weekend or public holiday!
The hotel needs remodeling. Lots of things are falling apart. The Restuarant needs improving. Service and selection is poor.
Hotel staffs are sincere and helpfull to sort out the trouble which we had, (bad noise in a room), so despite few negatives it was not bat stay after all. It seems hotel has not finished the renovation, we complained the noise in our room and few broken sign etc were quite embarrassing as I was taking my cliant to there.
It was close to the shops and restaurants and it was a comfortable nice place to stay. Staff were polite and helpful.
very kind service, and convenient location near to train station the wifi connection was slow, and not stable enough. Maybe this hotel is newly built, the smell was stongh, make my firends allergic
Friendly and helpful staff
Very close to transport system to central Bordeaux
Lovely clean, fresh hotel very conveniently located to Gare du Bordeaux. Staff were very helpful and spoke fluent English. Parking is a little tricky.
The location near the Gare St Jean The noise from the street in the early hours of the morning
Very helpful staff. The vibrant colour scheme.
Perfect location for fast stay: close to rail station and next to tram station to bring you into the center very quickly. Staff very friendly. We could even leave our bags in the storage till midnight.
Nice and helpfull staff Location - not a nice nabohood and far from city center.
Helpful staff. Nice breakfast! Steps away from St. Jean's tram station. Rooms are toooooooooo small! Specially since we were travelling with a 19 months old baby. Putting a crib in the room practically left no space for anything else!
Staff and breakfast The room smelt of cigarettes
Staff were very helpful. Room was comfortable. We were even able to borrow a screwdriver to mend my suitcase handle. Being close to the station, it was a bit noisy at night, but we had chosen it on purpose because it was convenient, so we were not bothered by the trains. The breakfast was a bit more expensive than we expected, but it was excellent, with a good choice of food .
The hotel was exactly what we were looking for, convenient for our transfer point, clean, efficient and very pleasant. The staff was most helpful. None at all!
Ibis Styles Bordeaux is extremely close to the rail station, and easy to find. Although it is clearly a budget hotel, I found the bright colors and decor charming. My room was quiet and comfortable, although, as others have noted, not large. Staff were all pleasant (and also kind and patient as regards my weak French). The included breakfast is exceptional, with a good espresso machine to use, a juice press, many pastries and breads, fresh fruit, and cold cuts and cheese, yoghurt, etc. The bathroom seemed really too tiny, and a bit scruffy.
Clean and central to the city Argument over a cancellation in which we were in the right but no apology
Good location, nice staff and cheap All was fine
Nice small hotel and good breakfast.Convenient location. Friendly staff. The refrigerator did not work in the room. The tv-set could not handle hd programming, so half of the channels were not available.
Super close to the train station. Were able to accommodate us on a very last minute reservation. Left very easy instructions for us as no one was actually on site when we arrived. Let us store our luggage while we went out for a bite. Could use more supplies- i.e. toilet paper and blankets for a larger group.
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Nice staff. Marked it down because no lifts and had to carry our heavy bags up three flights of spiral staircase.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The room I stayed in was small and rather rundown - clean but shabby.
location -hot water-heating The hotel was trying to increase the agreed internet price
Close to the train station, okay neighborhood, desk person offered helpful advice for local restaurants, good petit dejeuner.
It was a short walk from the train station and the breakfast room in the basement was cheerfully decorated. The room was tiny and the bathroom lighting was very dim. fOOTSTOOLS were used as end tables.
Very convenient to train station and city tram. Clean and comfortable. Great value for exploring Bordeaux as a budget traveller.
Reasonably priced/value for money, clean, not noisy, handy for trams into the city. Surprised to be asked to pay day-by-day, almost impossible to park even though parking is mentioned on the website.
