The comfort and cleanliness. Easy to find, well indicated. No
The Gardaland Hotel Resort is a nice hotel for family vacations. A little bit pricey but very clean and comfort...
Very clean, well organised, staff were friendly, nice surroundings Very expensive for what you get. Buffet breakfast was ok, plenty of food etc but quality probably not the highest standard.
The hotel is located between Sirmione en Lazise (and Bardolino en Garda). We used it, because it had everything and was cheap in comparison to other hotels, to get around and didn't stay much at the hotel itself. It's a themepark hotel so you should not be afraid of kids. The room was good. Big enough, good bathroom with everything in it. Airconditioning, widescreen tv, fridge, was all availabele. Even internet via a cable in the room for 3,- per 24h The window in the room was too high up which made the room look a bit unfriendly.
kids entertainments it's a fairy place for kids and calm for adults it's far for the city and close to gardalandpark
The hotel surroundings are nice, and the rooms tastefully decorated Food was pretty poor in comparison to other hotels in Italy. Also, felt a little like was on a conveyor belt system, polite though the staff were, we still were ushered in and out of the dining room as quickly as they could move us.
The bed was so poor that it was almost hilarious to try to sleep on it, get serious if you want to keep your customers!
Friendly staff, good quality services restrictions on parking in the complex
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this hotel.
Nothing special The service at the restaurant
G The rooms where not clean enough especially the floor and furniture, the mattress had most of the springs that could be counted!!! We booked because we thought it was good value for money but than we had to pay for towels, linen and cleaning!!!!!
Great staff very helpful considering we were a group of 6 bikers staying.
All the swimming pools was closed (without any reason). The final cleaning was 30 Eur, the booking price not included it, and it was unknown untill we arrived to the aparman, after check in.
The place is very new and well looked after. Rooms are big, airy and have good sized windows providing ample light Had to pay for: Cleaning (at end of trip), Sheets and Towels. I feel they should incorporate these into the price as they are hidden expnses. Also hotel does not accept any form of credit cards
The place is great and centrally located
huge rooms, excellent pool and great location. nothing on the TV was watchable for the kids, nor us.
The closeness to Gardaland amusement park Quite expensive.
Double rooms are big and include also Sofa. Breakfast was really good for both adults and children. Location is vey good, close to Gardaland and Movieland.
The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was great. Rooms were large and comfortable for a family of four. There were numerous problems with the airconditioning in the room. As it was summer, the room was very hot, especially during the night. Also, for a non-city hotel, the 25 euro per person charge for the buffet dinner was exorbitant. As the main reason for staying at this hotel was its proximity to Gardaland Theme Park was a bit disappointed that the road to the theme park was a gravel dirt road which was a good 15 minute walk. The walk on the main road was shorter, but of course extremely dangerous.
Great hotel at a great location !
Proximity to local attractions; especially the theme and water parks. Although limited in terms of equipment, the children's club activities and enthusiastic / attentive staff made up for the shortcomings. Lack of storage (cupboard / wardrobe) space in the room. No onsite gym/spa facilities
The breakfast buffet, free parking, nice and clean rooms The location wasn't that great, it is a strange place for a hotel. There also was nothing to do in the hotel.
It is a beautiful property, amazing decor, quiet, with a good central location 15 minutes drive from Verona or Garda. One of the most modern and interesting places I've stayed anywhere. This was a real find... LOVED this place!
room, breakfast, bed
very modern hotel great design locate 20 min from verona and 20 min from garda. the stuff was nice the breakfeast is good. the hotel was a little bit empty in october, nothing to do around the hotel.
Very modern hotel, very good breakfast, nice staff very vgood value for the money
The Gof Hotel was a great place to relax, enjoy good food and take in the views. Room service could have been better.
friendly staff, good food. Rooms a good size with great facilities none
The location, views and golf facility No
Campsite itself was reasonable and in a nice location by lake and town. Staff were helpful. Good bar and a big screen for the World Cup! "Apartment" accomodation was dreadful - small, old and dated. AirCon, fridge and stove were useless. Bunk bed had broken edge and missing rung on ladder. Kids club was poor compared to French experience last year. Pool slides were disappointing.
great location.nice, tidy apartments. The kitchen is well equipped. The restaurant on the site is really great.
Very cheap in October and quiet, easy to get to near by supermarket and town to catch buses and trains around the lake Need to bring your own toilet paper, rooms a bit like prison cells, the camp sites pretty much closed down in October (no supermarket, restaurant or swimming pools)
Very good for families with small children and for access to Lake Garda
We stayed at Camping del Garda with my mom during 7-12 May and had wonderful time there. The campsite is actually overlooking the Lake Garda. The Lake itself is really beautiful - there are many small towns on it worth visiting. We made a trip around the lake by ship - took it to Malcesine and back (20.40 Eur return per 1 adult)and it was really nice. At Malcesine there is a funiculer which takes you to the highest mountain where you can overlook the Lake (14 Eur). The Peschiera del Garda town, where the campsite is, is really nice as well and worth visiting. The campsite is also 15 min walk from the Peschiera railway station which is really handy. There are also few supermarkets around (we visited 2 so far) - Migros and Penny. Peny is really cheap one. They both are off Monte Baldo street and about 7-10 minutes walk from the campsite. There are also 2 restourants at the camp, we tried just one - Garda, where we had lovely risotto with sea products - with all the shells and huge king prawn on top :) The bungalow that we stayed at (Pini site)was lovely - clean and comfy. You have fridge, plates, cutlery, teapot, saucepans there. Also duvets and pillows. You can rent the bed linen as well for 9 Eur per change. You will need to bring your own toilet paper, soaps, cleaning stuff and towels though. Alternatively, you can buy all this at the nearest supermarket. We also had the small travelling iron with us, although there is a laundry on the site. The temperature inside it can be regulated by the airconditioning, which we used to make us warm at the night :) There is also a small safe in the room which you can use for free (at least when you stay with Active hotels). The pull was just few metres from our bungalow, but wasn't working since it opens from 11 of May. The second pull on the other sde was open, but it wasn't too hot to swim a the beginning of May. The weather was aroung 15-20 degrees, quite few raines, but we got to catch a bit of sun and had few hours of sunbath at our bungalow terrace (which is beautiful with chairs, table and low chairs provided). There is also an option to take train to Venice (1.50 h and 7.90 Eur single) or Verona (15 min and 2.35 Eur). Trains Regionale are the cheapest. btw don't forget to validate your train tickets at the yellow boxes otherwise they are not valid. The staff was very friendly and helpful and provided us with all the information we needed including printed maps and timetables. They do speak English, German and I think Dutch in additon to Italian. The people in the Town mostly don't speak English (except young students and shoolchildren), so it's worth to prepare some general phrases in Italian for yourself in a case of buying smth at railway station or if you need some help from them. The weather in May is not that hot, so if you want a lot of sunbath and swimming go in the Summer
Cheap, good location, well organised, staff spoke excellent english. if your staying in a tent your packed in very tightly wih other people
Silence, greenery, nice and helpful stuff, perfect lokation for the attractions. We didn't like the brick bungalow / apartment/.It was very old and dark, but we told to the reception and they were very polite and gave us mobile home which was perfect.
