Fordele: The location was wonderful. It is less than a block away from the corner of the main place, Place des Palmistes. It shares a building with the police station. Around the corner is the nearest convenience store, and there are restaurants and sights within close walking proximity. I arrived at 3 in the morning and the staff made sure that my check in was swift and the room was prepared for me. I checked out, likewise, at 4 a.m., and the staff did not hold me up. They ordered taxis for me efficiently for both trips to/from airport. The cleaning service was respectful and generally thorough. A safe in the closet of the room made me feel that my passport and belongings were safe when I wasn't there.
Ulemper: Guyane is expensive in general, so it is not surprising that the hotel stay would be a large expense. The breakfast was good and included in the price of the stay, but visitors might not want to eat at the hotel each morning because the same, somewhat bland food more than a couple of times gets really old. The mini-fridge in the room was not working properly so I didn't store as much food in it as I otherwise could have. Also, a light was out in the bathroom and it didn't get replaced. Other than that, it was clean, comfortable, and secure.
