Overall a decent hotel. It is older, but it has character. Staff was friendly, rooms were comfortable.
The restaurant staff (hostess and bartender) were great. I'm not sure if they're part of the hotel, but they're the only positive experience I had there. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I work in the hospitality industry so it takes a lot for me to say that.
Location -The owner, he kept accusing the three of us of having more than five people staying in the room. It was all to harass us for more money for the time we were there. -The rooms were in dire need of every kind of repair. -Curtains were stuck/melted to the window. -Super loud heater. -Poor insulation. -Only one electrical socket worked the entire time. -The Key was very finicky and always was a struggle to work. And the room was outside, so it got worse the colder it was. -The internet never worked. -Holes in the sheets. -The parking lot only held six vehicles and was a pain to park my pickup. I wished I would have stayed at the comparatively luxurious Motel 6!
During Frontier Days, they offer a $5 per person one way shuttle, which was nice to not have to worry about parking. Prices jacked up way beyond the value of the hotel during Frontier Days.
They were extremely unfriendly when I had a guest arrive. We had a room with two bed and 3 people total. I feel like that is a totally appropriate number of guests per room.
