Clean, good customer service, very secure (4 meter fences around hotel and car park and code access) Room very small and claustraphobic, very unimaginatives old building (like a concrete cell)
Clean, comfortable, warm, inexpensive Cramped, lack of evening meal
location and value food
Good location for Tunnel and ferries. The restaurant was not open when we arrived (20.00) but the reception told us of a restaurant nearby.
Room was newly refurbished and clean. Room And ensuite small but OK for the price. Breakfast was normal help your self buffet with good choice but expensive. Good for a short stay but not for a holiday. Your website refers to the good restaurant but fails to mention that it is closed Sat & Sunday. For anyone arriving as we did this was a major dissapointment as it was difficult to find anywhere near to eat.
Clean, excellent late check in facilities, value for money, easy to find, excellent breakfast I had a little trouble with the website
Very helpful and freidnly staff, good cuisine Despite of it being freezing outside, the room was not heated when I checked in at 6.30pm. As there was only one small heater that worked (the one in the bathroom unfortunately did not), it took the whole night for the room to become warm and cosy.... Which obviously did not contribute to an enjoable stay- sorry
Quiet Restraunt not open even though it was listed as one of the facilities Reduction in facilities not really compensated for by lower price than others
Cheap and convenient location The room was feeezing when we arrived - we could hardly get to sleep!
One assumes something about staff at cheap transit hotels, may be tired, a little matter of fact, not all that pleased to see you? and that's kind of OK because you're not paying much and so on. But the guy at the Ibis was really nice, pleasant and really seemed to actually give a monkeys. in all, great location, good price, very passable food (even at midnight) and yeah, really really good staff. Nothing, its actually pretty good.
Resteraunt closes at 21.00 hours and nothing available after that in terms of a bar or vending machine. So if you want to eat or have a drink in the hotel it id not possible after 21.00!!! Noit very French - the Ibis hotel close by has a bar open till very late and food available till round about 11.00 in the evening and with a similar room rate!
easy to find, well placed, quiet
The hotel was spotlessly clean. Very friendly reception. Large comfortable room.
The location is excellent for the channel tunnel, 24 hour reception and spacious comfortable room, plenty of parking. A good night's rest before a long drive south...
This complex of hotels is very close to the Eurotunnel. Excellent family rooms with possibility to divide the space. Small kitchen unit with kettle, sink, fridge, everything!
Proximity to the Eurotunnel for crossing. Comfort and amenities in the room compared to other "value" hotels in the vicinity.
The hotel was new, very clean, comfortable, good vlaue for money and in a good location once you come off the tunnel near Calais-we would highly reccommend it The rooms were a little hot and the air conditioning did not work properly
Very clean, modern easily accessible to the tunnel, close to 'Cite Europe' shopping centre and the staff were very helpful & friendly and ample parking. Bathroom could be a little more private and the breakfast was a little expensive for what it was.
very comfortable unfortunatley it was very noisy from the road running adjacent to the hotel servicing the eurotunnel shopping area.which spoiled our stay although when i booked i requester quiet rooms
The location just off the motorway and right next to the Cite Europe shopping and the Channel Tunnel was perfect. Room was very large and comfortable. Good for overnight stay before travelling on. Had to wait almost 15 mins to check-in whilst reception dealt with a small queue of people. Should be other staff available to help. We had just driven for 8 hours to get here and didn't appreciate the wait.
The ability to have three adults in a room The heat, room could do with a fan it became most uncomfortable with window shut and noise unbearable with window open, we came in October, so dread to think what it would be like in the summer
Wonderful hostess. Parking and breakfast was included. Lots of stairs to climb. Lighting fairly dim so not suitable for partially sighted or people with walking difficulty.
It was so welcoming. The owners are friendly, helpful and make you feel at home. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good; homemade breads and delicious jams. The location was perfect: you could walk to everything. We have no complaints whatsoever.
Excellent hosts. Welcoming and friendly. Very helpful n/A
Villa Vent D'Bout could have been easily 5 star hotel. The environment, the facilities, the warm welcome was just excellent. This B&B is much better then any other hotel in the surrounding area and it's close to the beach (150M). With no doubts we will visit this B&B again. It's worth fit.
very comfortable, amazing, super place, very friendly, handy for the ferry,
Everything was excellent although the location can be a problem as it is on a roundabout so some traffic noise is inevitable if your room overlooks it. Otherwise we would definitely recommend it as:- 1. you can walk into Calais very easily; 2. it is very easily reached from channel tunnel; 3. has more character than the nearby budget hotels; 4.delicious breakfast and 5.very friendly and helpful hosts!
Friendliness of owners.
Very convenient for the Port of Calais. Home made bread at breakfast was lovely. Owners were friendly. Twenty five minute walk to nearest restaurants.
Warm welcome. Lovely room. Good breakfast. Good location. Very interesting decor in the house itself (yachting theme). No
Lovely clean rooms, owners gave us tour and choice of rooms, plus a voucher for 10% off a meal at a local eatery. No bad points.
