Had a geat stay! Staff was great moved to hptel from another hotel down street that was discusting The staff bent over backwards to get us right in our rooms so we could get ready for a 1:00 function we had to go to. Everything ws good rooms food bar pool and hot tub very inviting. Paying for self parking it was accross and elevator was out of order..
Hotel was very clean and loved the pool area and sitting out by the pool making sites each evening..... Restaurant was a bit too expensive and I didn't like that they charged an extra $10 Per day for parking when you were already a guest at the hotel....
Ridiculous hidden fees, but that's not what ruined my stay. My wife and I checked in late at night and did not fall asleep until 2am. No problem though, right? I mean, checkout is at 11am so we can get our 8 hours and still checkout on time. Wrong. At 7:59am, we get a tapping on the door. We ignored it the first 3 times, but on the fourth I jumped out of bed and answered the door. A polite maid asked me if I was ready to checkout. I said "No, I'm sleeping. I thought 11am was checkout?" She said, "It is. Would you like to checkout now?" It almost seemed like a gag, but I wasn't laughing and neither was she. I shooed her away and immediately called the front desk. After being given the runaround about the manager being in a "business meeting" (really, at 8am?, the resort morning supervisor is in a meeting with who at 8am?) I was finally connected to a guy who sounded like he was talking to me at the gas pump. "What up man, what can I do for you?" I told him the story and he said "Yeah, it's just a courtesy checkout knock. No problem." No, Shores, it was a huge problem. I will never return.
Great location, service, whole nine yards. Older, like 99% of the hotels in Daytona, but very well maintained. Bed was awesome, room was nicely appointed. Service was great, definitely four star. Met some locals who had stopped in for the evening and they said this is the best one and where they stay if they move away and then come back to visit. Its a little far from the action if your a spring breaker and might be a little to uppity for that type of clientele. We got a good deal watching the prices so we are extremely satisfied. Restaurant looked nice but out of our budget. Locals said it was the valentine/birthday restaurant of choice. Did get their lunch poolside though and that was priced decent and was good. The grounds where well maintained and setup very nicely. Liked how they had a bridge over a busy road for the self parking lot. Outdoor gas fire pits where a nice touch for a quite evening by the Ocean. All in All was extremely pleased with our stay and would definitely stay again. Others mentioned parking costs and resort fee but we knew of those costs upfront and still the overall cost was competitive with other hotels on the beach. Towels seem to run out fast and there was a long delay for fresh ones. We had a partial ocean view with no balcony. This wasn't a problem until we go to open a window and they are screwed shut. Understand it could be a safety concern but wife was really disappointing we couldn't hear the ocean at night.
Great location and really good pricing. Great room. Very pleased all around.
Close to the beach Facility was a bit run down and could use some repair/updating. Window was broken in room so it could not be locked. Bits of garbage and someone's pill left in the carpet.
The food was great, superb breakfast, gorgeous oceanfront area, nice clean pool, pretty room, gorgeous four post canopy king bed, very comfortable! I really enjoyed our stay! The dinner was a little pricey but still very good and great service!
After reading reviews, I was a little disappointed in how dated the actual rooms were. Loved the property, but I was surprised that the paint in the bathrooms, the vanity and side dressing area were in the condition they were in. The room itself was comfortable and the two complimentary bottles of water were nice. Outside of the hotel room, we loved the property. The pool and cabana area were wonderful. The staff was professional and polite. We will return just for those reasons!
The room was excellent and the ocean front view was awesome. Food quality can be better. The restaurant and food choices are not that great.
COMING HOME DIDNT GET THE ROOM WE BOOKED. WHEN ASKED IF I COULD GET THE ROOM I BOOKED WAS JERKED AROUND. HAD TO SLEEP ON A PULL OUT THAT WAS HORRID FOR 6 DAYS.
Beach front Everything is falling apart. Beach bar staff unfriendly, no toothbrush provided by hotel, can't open windows that are dirty anyways...
I liked the ocean front , also that everything was in walking distance My room , the bed wasn't comfortable, which is why we stay @ Hampton , the room was handicap accessible but it was super small so how can a wheel chair fit in there, then the bathroom had no vanity , all of my items got wet from the room holding much moisture when the AC was in use. The furniture in my room didn't look updated. If it had not been for the Hampton Inn logos I would've thought I was in a motel 6 . This hotel needs to be updated, the rooms that is. The foyer & lobby area is beautiful , but the minute I stepped in my room it was pure disappointment. The closet I could hang my cloths in because the rack was to low, then there's the table top ironing board. I have to say as a hilton honors member , this was the worse Hampton I've stayed @. The outside beauty saved me from asking for a refund .
The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was very friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. Breakfast was also one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had. Loved how close we were to the beach and that we could include the beach chair rentals to our room. Definitely a place for the family. I stayed here on vacation with my boyfriend and we were surrounded by children. I was also uncomfortable at one point when one of the employees asked me if I was on my way downstairs to meet up with my husband and kids.
Quieter, less crowded beach. Good for families with small children. Small, slow elevators. Not enough parking.
Courteous, helpful, professional staff.
Offered a new room after I found, and brought to the front desk 5 roaches on my bed. The 5 roaches that scurried across my bed when I was trying to sleep.
Ocean front room. Free upgrade. They rented bottom floor of garage to car show made parking horrific.
Staff was nice It was roach infested Not clean No parking it was so bad....couldn't leave cause we were scared of losing parking again Microwave broken Sliding door to balcony broken Tv broken remote.
Check out process took 1 hour
Proximity to the beach Nasty room, door had to be slammed just to shut, paint was pealing, there was rust on all metal pieces, the TV was from the 90s, elevators were SLOW and sketchy. There was continental breakfast but it only included breads, nothing exciting, except blocked for a private party in the same room, just teasing us, was a full hot breakfast that we could smell, but not eat.
Location was amazing. Room did not get cleaned during whole stay. Had to get towels myself.
The carpet is Old & The Kichen is not clean Specially The Stove
Terrible place to stay. Someone broke into the room when we were sleeping. Never come here
Nothing First off, I understand the LaPlaya Resort has a new owner... This is my review of the place since they took over... Have been staying at the LaPlaya Resort for 15 years at least two or three times EVERY year. Booked the room two months in advance thru a third party site because the hotel's website said they were booked completely.. Paid almost double what I normally paid. Booked three (3) nights for the Memorial Day Weekend, expecting another great time at the LaPlaya. So many disappointments.. Had to pay $10/day extra for Wi-Fi. Deposit $25/day for incidentals, AC unit hanging from wall (they re-attached) but the AC remained at a constant 80+ degrees in the room. Apparently they locked the temp adjustment and the blower was locked to Low. The room door looked like it had been broken into numerous times and the lock was not secure.. pushed open without key card. Roaches throughout the room.. NEVER saw ANY Roaches ever BEFORE this stay. The Veranda Restaurant is GONE!!! They are using the space to let the vultures have their so called free continental breakfast.. what a joke!!! Can't believe the Tiki Bar was actually open.. what a surprise!!! There was no DJ for the Holiday Weekend except for about 2-3 hours on Saturday... what a waste.. The whole point of going to the LaPlaya for a "Holiday Weekend" "WAS" because all entertainment was already onsite, hence the high price of staying there. You didn't have to get in your car and drive for entertainment.. it "USED TO BE" nice to be able to enjoy your cocktails, beautiful weather, entertainment, and food (delivered if you desire) all in the safety off the resort. I heard from a fellow patron that the owners are planning to gut the place August 2017.. It will mean nothing if the price and amenities are like this visit. Also found out other patrons had only booked their rooms just days before arrival and paid almost half of what I paid... remember I booked two months in advance.. talk about being steamed about that... that just made me nauseous to say the least. Needless to say I will never return to this place regardless of what name they give it!!! Sadly disappointed
Comfy beds We payed for the beach side room and didn't get it. There was roaches all over the place. If the fourth floor was like that I would hate to see the lower floors. Wasn't worth the stay.
It was nice to be on the beach and the staff was friendly. Walls are paper thin and neighbor came in with his entourage at around 1:30 am making quite the ruckus. Tossed and turned for a while after that, but then was woken up at 4:00 by the smell of pot. Not a relaxing night at all. I figured I'd at least get a good breakfast, but there was definitely something left to be desired. Grabbed a bowl of fruit and it tasted old and rubbery. Thank goodness for Lucky Charms and pre-packaged yogurt. They could probably stand to have some utensils out where you could actually spread cream cheese on a bagel too.
Found three roaches overall in our hotel. The blankets were very scratchy and uncomfortable my children did not like them and would not sleep with them. I had to call the front desk 3 times to get towels for our room. I asked for an hour late checkout and the lady at the front desk refused, when I went to check out she offered a late checkout to the man in front of me. When you walk around the hotel and see staff they roll there eyes at you and when they are standing in your way talking they don't move! Lazy staff and not enough towels and bedding to go around apparently.
the rooms were spacious and nice. The check in lady was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend staying here nothing
The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurants offered good food (especially Hyde Park) and the pool area was fun to hang out in. The beach access was excellent and we enjoyed the ease of leaving at night to go on walks down the beach front. We didn't stay in Daytona much as we travelled to St. Augustine and Coca Beach but the hotel is a good half way point for both places. The food and beverages are really expensive and if you just add them to your room expense instead of paying cash the cost will add up quickly! The rooms are clean but very basic and had a little wear and tear. No refrigerator in our room nor a trash can in the bathroom which is just strange not to have. The windows and walls are very thin so you hear all the noise from the Amusement park which is right next to the hotel if you stay on the south side of the hotel. Valet is always nice but for $22/night again can add up quickly but they were very fast in getting my car!
The view and the facilities were worth it. Paying for parking, which was across the street... Very inconvenient.
I liked that everything was close to hotel. There was garbage in stairwells and so many homeless people hanging around.
Proximity to everything and friendly staff. Went down for the bike rally and was charged excessivly for parking. I was charged to park my truck, my trailer and even charged to park my bike at the hotel for a grand total of $204.00 for 4 days.
ocean view was nice the room was small no refrigerator, no microwave, room was dusty and we had to enter from north tower when we stayed at the south tower. we had to have our vehicle parked across the street instead of at the hotel I understand there was storm damage from the hurricane but they could of told us the pool and spa were closed before we booked if we had known this in advance we would of stayed elsewhere. VERY DISPLEASED
The hotel is amazing and at a perfect view right on the Beach. It was an overall terrible experience, I had 2 nights and it was pricy but I was willing to pay some extra money to enjoy my vacation, the first night the room next to me had a party with a music that was so loud and when I complained, they changed my room and I had to pack my stuff and walk to the other tower for another room at 1:30 am, there was no security and rooms were packed with at least 5 or 6 teenagers and they were so noisy and again no security or someone who can ask them to lower the noise at least at night time, 2nd night had a false fire alarm and had to evacuate the whole hotel and that took about 3 hours to resolve, got back to my room at 1 am, that might be a bad luck so that won't be the case for everyone but once again the hotel had no kind of security or manager that take care of the guests and provide a quiet, relaxing time for their guests vacation.
The location on the Daytona oceanfront can't be beat. We have stayed here every spring break for the past 5 years. I must say, it has gone downhill. Everything is just looking shabby. Our room smelled moldy. The staff were incredibly rude on several occasions. we paid a premium price for Motel 6 service. We'll be looking for different accommodations next year.
Staff was friendly and helpful to an extent, the hidden fees were your surprise when checking out. All the add on fees are terrible!
Staff was very friendly Hôtel need some repairs
Loved the location to the beach and the staff was awesome The window in our room was not sealed all the way, we had a view of literally only the roof, and the pool seemed small for a hotwl of that size. It was always packed.
Huge issues with elevators. Only 3 for the hotel and 1 was broken much of our stay. Unable to use elevators at all during check out due to back up. Had to load gear for 3 babies by using 3 floors worth of stairs. Beautiful hotel but elevator problems are a deal-breaker.
Bathrooms extremely small
The View was breathtaking I was quoted a price of $93 I was charged 200 I was charged a resort fee of $20 I did not know about not only that they listed the spa and sauna hot tub as Hotel amenities in fact they were not they were an additional charge if you use the spa how can you list them as Hotel amenities we wouldn't never go back
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was completely upgraded and clean. The amenities were very nice. Heated pool, it was December, salon, restaurant and outside tiki area. The outside of the hotel is not adequately being maintained. We had a street view and our window was so dirty we could barely see out of it and there was bird feces all over the ledge that had not been cleaned in some time. But still an excellent place to stay.
The hotel is very nice and right on the beach. Swimming pool is heated but outside. I don't know about the rest of the hotel what room 104 was fantastic. it has a patio and access to the beach from your room.
The resort is directly on the water and is in the heart of Daytona Beach. We were able to walk to most of the local attractions and restaurants. Parts of the hotel were well decorated and maintained, especially the conference center wing and the lobby. Some of the food options at the bar side grill were very good and reasonably priced. My wife and I stayed at this resort for our wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed. Despite being let to believe by hotel staff that there would be some special anniversary accommodations, absolutely none were received. The hotel was very loud with spring breakers; we were woken up multiple times each night by the partying. Our entire floor reeked of marijuana and there were empty beer cans on the hall floors. The elevators did not seem to be functioning properly while we were there, for the wait times were unbelievably long. The breakfast buffet is nothing more than a cheap continental breakfast. We left the hotel every day for breakfast and dinner.
Nothing Where do I start with this place- The first room I was checked into was smelt so bad - The smell was like a pest control company just left before I got there and the carpet was still wet from being clean and it smelt of mold and must and bug spray . The bedding was stained and ripped . To make matters worse there was a drunk kid in the hallway sitting at the end near the room blasting his music . We asked for a different room and where given a different room the smell in the second room was a little better and also another drunk kid in the hallway on her phone sitting in the hallway . My partner and I decided at this point to find something to eat in the area and everything was closed . We decided to walk back to the hotel and see maybe if the bar or something was open in the hotel . We walked out side the hotel near the pool and that was a mess with beer cans and drunk people everywhere . At this point I called Kayak to complain about this and was able to get a refund when it finally hit us .. My partner had stayed at this very hotel on his spring break 31 years ago and the hotel had not changed in 31 years . This place need to do some major work and the staff is rude and need to be retrained . The staff lies to the customers about everything and the holding of funds on ur credit card . We where able to get all the money from Kayak but the funds from the hotel are still not refunded to the card and have called several times about this and get the run around this place is HORRIBLE and need to be put on HOTEL NIGHTMARES . we decided to head out daytona and head north and found a great hotel in Palm Coast .
To much noise
Good location in terms of the beach In dire need of renovation. Awful rooms and staff are slow and inefficent at check-in
The staff was amazing! Went put of their way to say hello everytime we saw someone, very attentive. We stayed an extra unplanned night because we were so impressed with their staff How expensive their drinks were. We spent more on drinks then we did on lunches and dinners
This was a great resort next to the boardwalk. You are in waking distance to the pier and food places. Once you park your car, no need to use it again until you leave! We will be back! It was just my fiancé and I, so the bar with all of the "buckets" were great! Clean, friendly staff!
Was a little displeased with not having a comforter on the bed.
the rooms were comfortable and the beach was beautiful price
Everything. I had no issues. Room was comfortable and all staff were very friendly!!
It was a clean and updated hotel The staff were all very friendly The breakfast was the best! Really comfortable rooms
Staff was the best!
A very nice hotel. Elevators are very slow.
Cleanliness, compact but efficient Nothing
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel was beautiful and clean and well kept. Breakfast buffet was delicious. The hot tub was filled up with a bunch of dudes pretty much our whole stay. Not enough towels in the pool area.
Rooms were clean. TV good size and excellent cable. Parking a little distracting.
location is perfect oceanfront view is great staff are friendly fridge and AC unit is a bit noisy
The staff is very friendly, the view is beautiful, the rooms are modern, I enjoyed my stayed. Everything was just perfect
Hotel was clean and on the beach. Great deal for the rate. Would stay again if they honor the correct reservation information. They wouldn't honor the room rate on the first night. Gave us a smaller room with side view. The next morning a different desk clerk corrected the problem but did not compensate us for the first night.
Did not like it at all. Staff was rude. room dirty the hotel need maintenance asap. My first room was 819 the toilet was full of shit. All over the change us to 820 the towel rack was broken. Also the staff so bad before I check in I call the hotel request a crib for the baby. They said they'll have to get It in the morning because they did not have no staff to get it. I was there for 4 day I was still waiting on the crib the day I check out. I call and call no body answer the phone at the front desk at any time. My baby sleep in the bed she fell 1 time I call front desk to report it also to ask for the crib agen they basecaly said screw you that not my problem. Like what that the worse customers service ever. So I said save ur money go somewhere else.
Great value for beach front hotel Limited poolside bar
Hot tub, view from partial ocean front room was great. Could lay in bed and see the ocean. Hotel advertised that it had a tiki bar and resturant. Nope, both closed. That was the main reason we picked to stay at this hotel. Also the beds were so uncomfortable, both woke up with sore backs.
Near full kitchen in standard room You can tell the hotel old, but well maintained
Immediate access to the beach and beachfront view. Cleanliness of the room
The staff, cleanliness, atmosphere and affordability are all excellent. The description of "deluxe" was a bit overreaching for a room wth a broken lamp and where the coffee pot had to be plugged into the bathroom. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Friendly staff , nice room beautiful view. Do not disturb sign but yet when we were out of the room maid service came in ! All I want is my privacy end of story !
Pool hot tub close to beach clean hotel friendly staff No comp)mentary breakfast no tea bags in room
Staff was very nice, pool was very nice In-room safe, but it didn't work. Bathroom lighting was it was in a cave it was so dark. beds not too comfortable. I plugged my laptop into an outlet and I ran out of power because the outlet was not working. even after cleaning I would find little pieces if trash on the floor.
The only thing that we liked was the closeness to the beach, other than that we did not like anything. However the beach was very nice. Room was not completely clean, no toiletries in the bathroom except toilet paper. Called the front desk to bring some and they did not send anybody at all. The sliding glass door to the balcony did not close. There was only 1 outlet in the room that worked. They charged me resort fees even after i showed them an email stating they did not need to be paid. The customer service was terrible. They advertise continental breakfast that was not stocked, waited 15 minutes for someone to put stuff out at 830 an when breakfast was from 630 to 1030. We had a late checkout set for 200, at noon we were locked out of our room because they shut the keys off, when i called to have someone let us in they said i needed to go down to the front desk rather than send someone to floor 5 where our room was located. I will never be staying here again. Only reason i stayed after check in was because i had already paid for the 3 days 2 nights in full.
Ocean front view with a balcony! Excellent !!! Room # 401 I wish the wifi worked faster at nights...it works very well during the day though...
Veey friendly staff, they meet all of our needs and made the stay very pleasant Very nice rooms. You are pretty much staying in a one bedroom condo
Excellent location, location, location and beautiful view of the ocean. People were very friendly and helpful.
Location, location, location... Nice to have the "living room".Ocean front balcony was delightful and roomy. Desk personel could not find reservation. She was abrupt and not at all helpful or reassuring. Problem was resolved but it could have been done in a more professional way.
sat on balcony, walked on beach, ate at the pier, read, drank wine and prepared small meals damp rooms need new outer doors- everyones slammed
It was on the beach. There was a laundry facility on site. The colors of the walls and decor was fabulous for a Florida beach place. the young lady, Maria, at the front desk was friendly, kind, helpful, and very respectful The sofa was a killer...very uncomfortable. There were two burners on the stove that were not very good (crooked). No frying pan. Toilet paper needs a major upgrade
great staff...very helpful..enjoyed our stay no hairdryer
Not good. It was really rundown the carpet was filthy and the bathroom had water dripping above my head into the sink from the room above. We fled. It was not good. All the worst stereotypes of a bad hotel in Daytona Beach. I didn't like everything.
The location and view was excellent. The room needed to have a complete cleaning.
It was a friendly environment. Breakfast was great. Nice heated pool, particularly nice since was in the 60's I did not like the instructions. My reservation information contained no information about after hour (5 PM) check-in procedures, I arrived late (11 PM). I did not see the lock box and there has no information from you explaining the lock box for after hours. I spent an additional $119 to stay at a Days Inn on Saturday night. Better instructions for late check-in would be very beneficial.
I love this place, it's a great getaway. I would rather stay here than any other resort. The staff was grest, super friendly and helpful. I've had several different rooms types here and all of them are absolutely beautiful. It's no regular hotel. The rooms are like a home away from home. I will continue to be a guest always. I have nothing bad to say about this place but it's truly epic..
it's not fancy, but rooms are brightly painted. Small old tvs, couches were uncomfortable, maybe there was ice but I couldn't find it. I'll stay there again.
Old and firty
I like the fact that it was on the water. The appliances didn't really work that well. There were bugs in my room.
it has nice view, so I tell you locstion is very good. and thereare some convinience facilities near of it(walking distance)... superstore and more. Also it has stable wifi. I can enjoy streaming video clip . All of an evaluation items except above(what I like).
Right on the water Rooms were in terrible condition. Rusted fridge lamps door to balcony would not stay closed.
it was just awesome I loved everything about it the staff was great the rooms were clean property was clean and very elegant very nice loved it there is nothing we didn't like
Great stay. Fun time great ameneties!
True oceanfront and full ocean view from private balcony. Efficiencies have queen beds and a small kitchen. Two pools, free parking and breakfast, and excellent beach access. You can't beat the view at a reasonable price, but I really wish they would at least retile the showers. This is an older property in need of some renovation, but we keep coming back!
Beach front Older rooms
I loved this hotel. Great for the price. I definitely recommend this hotel. Ocean View was great!!
I did not like anything about this hotel. Could not wait to get out. Filthy, just filthy! I did not like anything about this hotel. Could not wait to get out. Filthy, just filthy!
The location was very nice. And the price wasn't bad. The room was very dirty and smelled like mold. We found bugs every where. The refrigerator was rusted. We couldn't even get the door open without throwing our shoulder into it. We won't stay again, it worked for this trip.
Great customer care although the building itself was a bit rundown but the majority of hotels in daytona are run down due to years of the elements. Overall, stay was great and would def recommend Elevator broke :-)
The room is great, everything u need is there. Personal items, kitchen stuff, wow i made breakfast and set it up inside the room, and we have a view of the ocean. Comfortable bed and quiet place. Great for vacation. I would like to come back soont. The pool is warm, very nice. Try the hottub, very therapeutic. Wifi is AWESOME connection unlike most connections. Good for business too we need billiards and some deck games i guess
The staff was very friendly and catered to my needs. The room was clean ad had a nice view of the ocean . Check in and check out was fast and easy. The only complaint I have is the the A/C unit had a loud high pitch noise comming from it.
Location. Right on beach very close to access road to the mainland. Slight musty smell in. room when we first. Got there.
The location was good & view from room was everything you'd expect staying on the beach. Hotel needs serious updating/re-freshening. Probably ruined by the "spring break days"...10+ years ago. In my opinion... kinda dumpy. BUT...the view & location made up for it. Stayed at the Hyatt down the street B4 which had free breakfast & was updated, clean & nice but of course, a little more$$...would definitely check other options next time..but during spring break--with my 10 year old... it served it's purpose for the price. Micro & fridge. Publix about 2 miles away..it was good.
I liked that the staff changed our room, since the first "non-smoking" room highly stunk like cigarettes. i didn't like that one of the workers tried to disregard our concerned by stating it was cooking smell - which is a huge difference, but the gentleman at the front desk graciously changed our room. Couldn't enjoy the balcony for too long as others were smoking on their balconies... But at least enjoyed the view from the balcony glass windows.
The staff was nothing less then amazing, from the front desk to the cleaning employees.
A lot of the Daytona Beach Shores hotels had awful reviews. This hotel had good reviews and lived up to the reviews. Clean!
Nice and safe N/a
The rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. The only gripe I had was that it wasn't very college kid friendly and nowhere near where all the spring breakers were.
Nice view of water
THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN. Seem to take a long period of time for rooms available on reservations that was made.
Excellent staff, location AND price!! ZERO complaints
Rooms were clean, available when we checked in, close to everything. Tiki Bartender Benson was awsom! Seperate parking for trailers and bikes. If it weren;t for the price I would stay in March for Bike Week. Stayed at this hotel a month eariler and paid $60 less. I hate the price gouging during events.
Has a decent restaurant, pool, beach chairs by the beach. Close to beach for good price
We were originally put in a pool side room because the parking lot on the other side was being redone and the staff had concerns over noise. We were appreciative and understanding about the parking situation and immediately crashed for the night since we got in close to 2AM. The next day we enjoyed the pool with family who were also staying there. The following day, we woke up to the pool being drained. There were signs that indicated we could use other hotel's pools, but that barely seemed tempting since I prefer to be able to walk to the pool in my suit and then go right back to my room when done. I immediately checked to see if we had been given prior notice of the closure when I booked the room, since that might have changed our hotel decision. I only found one note that explained that the pool would be closed for maintenance but that it would be complete ONE MONTH before our arrival. I asked the front desk why there was a change, how long the pool would be closed, why we were not informed that the maintenance changed and actually impacted our stay. Long story short, all I got in return was again pointing out that I could use a different hotel's pool. I left feeling like I was paying for an amenity that I could not use and there was no apology for the inconvenience or lack of communication. I don't understand why we were put on one side of the hotel to avoid one partial night of construction (really it ended up just being painting the next morning) and were put on a side of the hotel to witness (and hear... the pump draining the pool woke us up) for the next 3 days of our stay.
Rooms were clean. Employees were very nice and helpful. Your on the ocean ,there's a huge pool ( salt water ). There is a restaurant , indoor bar and tiki bar at the pool. There is also a 7-11 across the street.
Overall nice stay. Did see a roach one morning in the bathroom. Otherwise good service. Nice staff. Clean heated pool. Nice waterfront and easy access to beach. Good happy hour. Neal at their restaurant, Traders, was awesome! Make sure you see Neal. Good food, had loaded fries and the ribeye and both were good. Just the roach sighting in our bathroom one morning
Very friendly and helpful staff. One of the most bike friendly places I have stayed. Close enough to Main Street but far enough away to enjoy some quiet. I cannot think of anything to complain about Just a really good place to stay
From the moment we checked in we were treated like royalty. So genuinely friendly. The included full breakfast is awesome as we're the ribs in the attached restaurant. Book Now!!! Total positive. I didn't like leaving.
On the beach, size of the room, close to everything Bathroom was small, elevator problems
Clean and nicely decorated. Directly on the ocean. Second floor balcony was very large. Overall, great place.
Near the sea We forgot to take our armbrache from the room. When we could the reception they told us that they could not find the forgotten armbrache. Our conclusion is that employees stole the expensive armbrache from the room.
They really cared. Homemade cookies, very professional staff. Breakfast and adult happy hour included. Burned out hotel next door mars what would otherwise be a great view.
Location. The room smelled. The AC when turned on has urine smell. Front desk staff know nothing about customer service. Room wasn't ready when I arrived. I had to wait over an hour to get my room.
That we had to ask the front desk for ice and there wasn't an ice machine on any floors
Staff was extremely nice. Room was spetacular Nothing
This hotel was right on the beach and only a few minutes from the peer in one direction and the lighthouse in the other. The rooms all have an ocean view. The hotel also had beach lounge chairs which we took to the beach instead of renting (nobody said we couldn't) very convenient. I made sure I cleaned them and returned them too. Breakfast was good considering the price. I'd stay again.the room The room doors all seem to stick when opening and closing so the sound of slamming doors was annoying after the neighbors kids went in and out a million times. Some off the rooms have kitchens and some people's food isn't always to your liking. The parking lot gets cramped. For the price you're not going to get the Ritz Carlton butt you get a clean room with an excellent location and a helpful staff.
I liked everything. It was a little outdated, but wasn't bad. Overall I would stay again nothing
Staff was courteous and the beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not good at all. But we recognize for the value and money saved on room rate we should not have expected omelet station or something like that.
Service and being on the beach was great!! Beautiful view as well. Our room was located right next to the pool.. was not fun at 830 in the morning. .
The location and staff were excellent, the breakfast was great, the rooms were really big and nice no complaints The second day our lock on the door quit working and they did not have the part to fix it. They moved us from bottom floor to top floor and went from queen beds to double beds.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were excellant. There was a slight proble with getting a room cleaned and ready to check into put it was sloved.
On the beach Everything
An excellent view with great customer service. The elevator was outdated and did not function properly.
