Staff was very friendly Hôtel need some repairs
ocean view was nice the room was small no refrigerator, no microwave, room was dusty and we had to enter from north tower when we stayed at the south tower. we had to have our vehicle parked across the street instead of at the hotel I understand there was storm damage from the hurricane but they could of told us the pool and spa were closed before we booked if we had known this in advance we would of stayed elsewhere. VERY DISPLEASED
the rooms were spacious and nice. The check in lady was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. I would definitely recommend staying here nothing
Loved the location to the beach and the staff was awesome The window in our room was not sealed all the way, we had a view of literally only the roof, and the pool seemed small for a hotwl of that size. It was always packed.
Beach and buffet Construction
I liked that everything was close to hotel. There was garbage in stairwells and so many homeless people hanging around.
The staff was amazing
Staff was friendly and helpful to an extent, the hidden fees were your surprise when checking out. All the add on fees are terrible!
The hotel is amazing and at a perfect view right on the Beach. It was an overall terrible experience, I had 2 nights and it was pricy but I was willing to pay some extra money to enjoy my vacation, the first night the room next to me had a party with a music that was so loud and when I complained, they changed my room and I had to pack my stuff and walk to the other tower for another room at 1:30 am, there was no security and rooms were packed with at least 5 or 6 teenagers and they were so noisy and again no security or someone who can ask them to lower the noise at least at night time, 2nd night had a false fire alarm and had to evacuate the whole hotel and that took about 3 hours to resolve, got back to my room at 1 am, that might be a bad luck so that won't be the case for everyone but once again the hotel had no kind of security or manager that take care of the guests and provide a quiet, relaxing time for their guests vacation.
The location on the Daytona oceanfront can't be beat. We have stayed here every spring break for the past 5 years. I must say, it has gone downhill. Everything is just looking shabby. Our room smelled moldy. The staff were incredibly rude on several occasions. we paid a premium price for Motel 6 service. We'll be looking for different accommodations next year.
The hotel was nice, clean and the staff were all very helpful. The restaurants offered good food (especially Hyde Park) and the pool area was fun to hang out in. The beach access was excellent and we enjoyed the ease of leaving at night to go on walks down the beach front. We didn't stay in Daytona much as we travelled to St. Augustine and Coca Beach but the hotel is a good half way point for both places. The food and beverages are really expensive and if you just add them to your room expense instead of paying cash the cost will add up quickly! The rooms are clean but very basic and had a little wear and tear. No refrigerator in our room nor a trash can in the bathroom which is just strange not to have. The windows and walls are very thin so you hear all the noise from the Amusement park which is right next to the hotel if you stay on the south side of the hotel. Valet is always nice but for $22/night again can add up quickly but they were very fast in getting my car!
The location is great, the view from my balcony. My room was not ready on time ,my waiting time was 40min Not towels my experience was not good Not good vacation
The jacuzzis and the lazy river are great! Great access to and views of the boardwalk AC unit broke on last day there, no one came to fix it, and apparently never even put it in the system. Children were throwing bread and liquids into the jacuzzi tub beneath their balcony. In the bedroom facing the hallway, the curtains didn't close all the way and the blinds left huge gaps where you could see in from the outside, plus light just just streamed in all the time, it was never really dark.
Beach and pools, Oceanwalk Restaurants, and the Turtle Bar We were never able to get a chair by the pool, we were forced to go to the beach. There should be more chairs by the pools. Also, there were many people by the pool without bracelets. The Security at this resort should be enforcing this, they just ignored it.
Good value and location. Nice pool. No maid service during stay, but maid came thirty minutes prior to checkout to get room ready for next guests! Next time will check the fine print because 10am check out time during Biketoberfest may be a deal breaker.
Beautiful view from balcony, and pool area nice. Make sure when you book it specifies ocean front! Wifi is terrible!
Pools & beach Room a little dated
The pool and beach were outstanding
Clean place with great pool area for kids...but no room service, cleaning service or valet. So be prepared to wash your own towels.
Hotel staff was horrible Waiting at the front desk for almost an hour and a half At 10:30 pm
Good pool, good tv channel selection, good dinning area long waits for the elevators
The view and the staff at the front desk How unclean the rooms were
The room was great, washing machine was a god send and easy to use, views from the room were fantastic, no maid coming into the room each morning was good, balcony was ace, no long ques for the lift, awsome place to stay for a family. it was very busy
Location was great. Within walking distance from everything. No need for driving once you get there. Beds are old. I didn't rest well. One bed was good and the other one you could feel the springs.
I liked that it was ocean front. The hotel is outdated and I heard the people next door to me talking while I was trying to fall asleep.
Location was great. Beds are too small. Room was too close to ice machine. We were woke up at all hours of the night by the ice machine. Otherwise, this is a decent place to stay.
Location is great Bathrooms need update
Pool was amazing Door was hard to open and close .balcony light had no bulb
Location is great ! Staff is great ! Rooms are clean ! Don't go during spring break! To much partying and noise. We stay here often and love it never been this loud before.
Nice...somewhat clean...they have their old furniture sitting right up front of hotel, kinda ugly. I had no shower curtain. The ac was made when the parted the red sea Not really nuch i f was plain nane
Price was great and nice pool area. Very short walk to beach. Beds were comfortable Room was extremely small w no balcony. "Breakfast" was bare scraps of oatmeal, fruit cups and coffee. Hotel is out dated fridge was rusted on outside and smells like pee all over property including our room.
The main objective for my stay was to photograph the Daytona Beach Pier at sunrise. The inn is just a short walk to the pier which is easily visible from the pool area. Hotel fees...
It is very obvious this hotel is in the process of renovation, and when it is completed, it will be beautiful. The main room was very clean, well decorated, nice flat screen TV. The sheets were horribly scratchy on my first night, but great the second leaving me to believe they are cycling out old linens. One of the beds had collapsed in. I only needed one, and I'm sure if I had called they would have fixed it for me because the staff was amazing! Also, you can tell they are still fixing the bathrooms because mine was awful! But in a "we are fixing it up" way. Old shower head with new curtain and curtain rods, broken tiles in the wall but new tub. You can tell they are doing things little by little.
Mostly everything. Excellent price for location and cleanliness! Only problem we had was housekeeping not leaving any towels. But as soon as we called the front desk for some, they brought them right away.
It was on the beach. The price. The location by the board walk We had no AC the 1st night and was about 200 feet from the night club next door. Very loud music and not able to sleep!!!
The View was nice and right by the main beach Rooms are in need of maintains the doors are hard to open. We had a room with a kitchen which was a waste as no pots or plates or anything to cook with. The Hot water ran out very early so a lot of cold showers
It was a nice room. Not ocean view and could not swim in the pool.
Great location and a great price. I have been staying at this hotel for about 20 years when I come to Daytona. The staff is nice and helpful. I like that I can park and just walk everywhere I want to go. I know that the hotel is doing some renovations, but they still have some work to do. The breakfast area doesn't need much, but it would be great to have waffles and maybe some fresh fruit. The elevators are slow. If you are on the lower floors, you may just want to use the stairs.
the location is perfect directly on the beach close to the boardwalk. We spent Valentines day weekend there it was romantic with the sunset and sunrise everything is in walking distance the Ocean Club next door had a concert going on that weekend that we watched from my balcony very nice the only thing negative is that the doors are a bit rusty and hard to open and close also the light switch while turned on turns on the fan as well and it is very loud other than that I would stay again.
I had to go to Daytona for a Seminar. This hotel was in an excellent location, on the beach. It is walking distance to the boardwalk, pier, band shell, many shops and restaurants and to the Ocean walk outdoor mall. It is a mediocre older Florida hotel but what made it exceptional for me was the super friendly staff. The staff treated me like I was a VIP from the time I walked in the door until check out. I was in the breakfast room eating the free waffles and I asked a male hotel staffer a question. He said " I don't know but let me find out for you" and he left and came back with an answer for me. I was shocked, what SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have got to say, the staff treated me better than I have been treated at 5 star hotels. Plus I got FREE WIFI, FREE BREAKFAST and FREE PARKING and a room that was a fraction of a cost of hotels just 2 blocks up the beach. Why is it that an inexpensive older hotel can provide these services and a brand new 5 star hotel has to nickel and dime you? I would stay here again. I would stay here again; however the negatives were: They are right next to the Ocean Deck bar and there was music playing until 2 am...bring earplugs and possibly a fan to drown out the music and you'll be fine. Also, when I was there October 2014 the pool and Jacuzzi were closed for remodeling. I guess that was reflected in the super cheap price I paid. There is a huge pool right outside called the Atlantic ocean anyway! I was happy because I saved a lot of money, I was close to where I wanted to be and that was what was important to me.
Location on the beachfront; pool; staff was helpful and accomadating. Bathroom setup; room is smallish for 4 people
Beachfront, close to bars and food, 24 hour staff, usually the wifi worked, maid came everyday, free breakfast but it's only waffles, oatmeal, and apples. Did get upgraded to oceanfront for waiting so long for my room to be ready Small parking lot, birds and sand always in the pool, never changed the sheets in the bed for a whole week, room wasn't ready at 3 like it said so they upgraded us. The maid staff was rude and insanely slow
All of the staff that we interacted with were very friendly. The front desk lady was very nice at check in and answered all of our questions. We met a few of the maintenance guys in the elevator and they interacted with my son each time we saw them and they even recommended a great local place to grab lunch. Great beachfront rooms for the price! The bed was not too comfy, but we saw them unloading new mattresses upon arrival so looks like updates are in progress. The furniture and carpets were well worn but I understand that this a a well used beachfront hotel and I am happy with the price I payed for our stay!
