My room looks nice, including all the facility I needed, but it was not quite clean. I could saw ashes flying in the morning sunshine.
The hotel is very closed to city center
Perfect location, just few meters from main station. Hotel is clean and well kept.
proximity to middle of town noise from lane in front of hotel
location is very close to train station Genova P.P. There is WiFi for extra money, but speed is extra slow and not stable. Door of room is not sound prove at all. If you sleep and somebody walks in a corridor feeling is like that somebody is in your room. TV signal is bad.
Too expensive, room was poor (maintenance, cleanliness). Breakfast very plain. Lovcation in centre
Good size room, nice breakfast, very close to station and easy walk to sights of Genoa. Air conditioning wasn't working while we were there.
Very nice Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent beds, excellant decoration. nice breakfast The location was not very good.
Nice hotel with very good comfort
It's a bit off, not within walking distance from Genoa city
Clean in beautiful room eksibition
Nice rooms. Excellent beds. Do not recommend lousy restaurants to your guests. We was recommended the restaurant Pandmonio in the Old City (Via Lommelini). The tuna was overcooked, the pasta was cold and the fish was swimming in olive oil. Service was slow, and air con was non exsistent. I left early...
I loved the design it was very italian.
Well situated for Harbour and Metro. Very good breakfast.
The relation price - quality is fine, but there are some lacks as well! The staff at the reception in general was friendly, but Simona was not at all. She ignored us when we checked-in, got some questions about the city, and at checked-out as well. Moreover, the breakfast was poor: for such big hotel the omelet was cooked just for 2-3 people. Therefore, when we tried to get it, it was all-time finished. The bread was not tasty at all,it seems like it was frozen before and heated at the morning. Then, the location is not so convenient. It's far from the city centre! And last, but not least, at the four star hotel it must be all bathroom stuff! There were just showergel and soap in it! As we booked a four star hotel, we did not take anything with us, and we had to buy toothbrush, toothpaste and so on! ridiculous
They checked the room number during the breakfast
Beautifully decorated and very comfortable suites. Large bathrooms which is not common in Italy. The breakfast was good. Our room had an amazing view of the harbour. The hotel is located near a metro stop however the metro in Genoa only runs until 9pm which is not clearly communicated on the location page. The option of using a taxi is recommended although trying to find a taxi late at night isnt easy.
Room service staff were excellent. Very helpful. Low prices for room service.
Location was fantastic, close to train station and walking distance to stadio luigi Ferrari for football Everything was good we had no complaints
Breakfast Fittings in the room not well thought out. E.g. basin tap not suited to the basin (too short to use properly), shower too small and dirty, light switches difficullt to find at night.
Staff extremely nice and helpful. Very good breakfast. Location location location no
The location is central so within easy reach . I liked the fresh bed sheets. It looks like they changed them every day.. The breakfast spread was also excellent. Its a pity that the bathroom although quite new proved to have a great disadvantage. Whoever put the toilet in the cramped corner in room 318 should seek psychiatric help. To sit on this toilet and I happen to have a large frame one has to slide and bend between the large marble top hand basin whilst brushing your head on the hairdryer hose above you.. Extreemly awkward and uncomfortable. Yet there is also a bidet. Common sense to change the place of these two with one another.
the service and the receptionist were very good
Cleanliness and convenient location
We got excellent value for money - think we actually upgraded. So had a big room, with a separate entrance and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. It was clean, comfortable, very friendly staff... The breakfast room is about 3 times smaller than it should be for a hotel of this size and every morning there are queues of people waiting in the hallway to get in. There is no room service available and you have to go down to the bar and pay for a cup of tea if you want one. A little tea/coffee tray in the room would be very welcome.
Clean room, good check-in, relaxing. No evening dinner on a Sunday night and room was small but typically italian after saying that
convenient for transfer to airport
The location is very good - not far from the center, near bus station, but aside from the city noise. A very nice building in "villa" style. The room is clean, bed is comfortable, breakfast is sufficient. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Staff very helpful and breakfast good. Thin walls, our neighbor kept us up most of the night. WIFI did not work.
Everything was ok, helply staff, nice rooms, very clean, no noise and good location in the city
Nice people, clean bearterful building. Good breakfast and services. Nothing.
The whole experience - all the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The hotel was excellent - near the sea, in a nice district, bus stop right outside made it very easy to travel about, pool & tennis courts next door. Would certainly stay there again.
The hotel staff was very friendly and tried to help in any way. Breakfast was minimal relative to similar hotels.
The stuff was very friendly and helpfull +
Staff were helpful & friendly The hotel cold be difficult to find in a hire car.
Very helpful staff, charming rooms, cleanliness everywhere in thé hotel. Tasty italian breakfast. Bocadessa village 5 min walk with excellent restaurants. Nothing
The welcome and service in general were particularly good - very smiling and helpful staff, speaking both good english and french. Although not in the city centre, it is well connected by bus (bus stop just in front of the hotel, 10 mn ride, frequent buses) and you can leave your car in the hotel courtyard (free of charge), avoiding the trouble of city centre traffic. It is also close to the Lido. The hotel is very clean and appears to have been recently renovated.
The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful despite our lack of Italian they always interacted as we passed through the reception. We had a very relaxing stay. The breakfast was very basic, a bit more variety would have been good and it would have been nice if they had a restaurant to use in the evening. Our room was quite noisy due to its position adjacent to a main road.
breakfast the room was clearly meant for booking.com or other similar websites as i was moved to a "regular" room after a horribly loud and uncomfortable night in the first room.
Good location to access the city and also mix in local culture with street market round corner and so e good local resteraunts in the Imediate area !!
I love the old-fashioned style of this hotel. But also it has been tastefully upgraded to modern standards. It's very convenient for transport links and shopping.
The location and staff are good. The elevator has its charm, thought it does not lift 4 people. The hotel is a bit old and outdated, there was a specific smell in the room.
Arrangement view from the bathroom
The pool on 2nd floor has a great view of the city. Easy to catch bus outside to centre. Taxis around 15euros. Staff were amazing- so helpful, free internet downstairs (20min and get code from reception). Room clean, comfortable, spacious. Gym on site. Didn't take breakfast so cannot comment.
nice and clean hotel, everything worked as it should and didn´t have any problems of any kind Not the most attractive neighbourhood
Just conveniently basd for my business trip No good restaurant
Location - the hotel is located 5-10 minutes walking to the airport and the hotel has a shutle bus to the airport. I did not like the smell in the room and halls (that smell of old), the design and decoration of the room is not modern and tasty, the report price/ quality is less favourable than the one of other hotels in the city center. You can book for a pretty similar price a better hotel in the city center (4* or 5*). However, I did not know that the city center is ~ 20 -30 min from the airport.
The hotel is adjacent to Christofer Columbus Airport in Genoa. Our room's air conditioning did not work properly and we spent the most miserable July night before an early-morning flight. After repeated requests for service, a hotel employee came, looked at it and said nothing could be done. I don't know about the other rooms, but avoid room 627! No adjustment was made to our bill at check-out, although the clerk said they had "heard about" the a/c problem from other guests! And they had the audacity to charge us for extra persons because our 2 teen daughters stayed in the room with us!
Reasonable size room, nice staff. Convenient for the airport if that is what you need. Breakfast room was poorly signposted and thus hard to find, and breakfast selection was not great, and not regularly re-stocked. Close by the airport which makes it a fair way from the city.
Proximity to airport; breakfast was excellent.
Excellent access to airport for early morning flight. Check in and check out help were very friendly. We were just staying in Genoa for a night for our flight, but the shuttle they have that runs to the main area of Genoa was very handy. The shuttle driver was extremely friendly, pointed out interesting sights along the 25 minute drive, and gave us tips to make the most of the few hours we had to spend down there. The price is also good, felt like good value for the services. The hotel is a bit rundown -- some wallpaper in the halls and our room could use some updating.
proximity to airport..
I was surprised to learn that breakfast service did not start until 6am. I chose this hotel as it was near to the airport as I had a 6.45am flight the next morning. I would expect that breakfast would be available early to accomodate those with early flights. There were no tea / coffee facilities in the room either. Quite disappointing for the Sheraton.
Ingen restauranter i gå-afstand. Vi kan kun anbefale hotellet, hvis I har egen bil.
Det var meget godt men synes at deres engelsk kunne være bedre det var ikke godt
It was terrible.. This place is a 1 star at best. Bed was to small, AC didn't work in room. Joint entry door with next room was like they were in my room! Just not a good stay
Spacious room, nice towels They turn off the air conditioner at night because they expect you to open your windows to the "cooler" air. The place is next to a port operating 24/7 loading and unloading cruise ships. Extremely noisy and bright lights all night. The windows are approximately 6ft long by 4 ft wide and you have to open the whole window. There were gale force winds coming in and blowing everything around. So there was either no air circulation with the windows closed or a wind tunnel with them open. The beds were too firm for our liking. Not a place to get a good night's rest.
Theese room doors are not good as a hotel-room door. It look likes garage doors.
only stayed one night, Good location and friendly and helpfull staff.
The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and eager to please. The hotel was a good combination of quirky and antique. The location is central. There was some street noise even though we were on the fifth floor.
Nice spacious room. The bathroom really small and no internet which it said there was only in the reception area. Can be alot of noise from outside during early hours of the morning.
Just the location Really old rooms, poorly renovated. Weird smell in the whole hotel. Poor light.Poor window view. Awful decoration. Got a really ''cheap'' feeling during my stay
Nothing, we did enjoy leaving They refused my crew entry one night because they had not been paid even though we had not checked out yet and then when we did pay there was a discrepancy on the total which they wanted to resolve with a fight, threatening my colleague and swearing. They are a very aggressive staff force and we were terrified.
Position in the heart of Genova Very small room, very small bathroom. Breakfast available from 8.30 to 9.00!!! Very bad people coming back in the evening/night. Really too much expensive for the quality they offer.
Very comfortable breakfast was adiquit The bed was only 2.6in like a childs trundle the first day the room was unserviced
Nothing For a 3 star hotel, they do not have functioning telephone lines. You can not make a call outside. No internet facilities, no ironing facilities, a very long, narrow stairs at the entrance without lift and the worst is; the area is extremely dangerous in the nights. You can not go out at all.
This Hotel had steps to get to reception and no help with elderly mother. Room very small and cramped wod not recommed unless very cheap. Up side street and not easy to find
Good value rooms, clean & well located in the city The staff.
central & close to station We had to carry our baggage up two flights of stairs to reception. No lift to foyer but lift to rooms. Was inconvenient with 5 women & suit cases
no lift and a large number of steps to climb at main entrance
Closeness to points of interest (Acquarium, Porto Antico in general), very pleasant, helpful staff.
Good situation. They only speak italian !
Udsigten over byen nej
Location was excellent - in the middle of everything. Stuff very nice, the room was clean and comfortable.
The only positive argument for us is that the hotel (???) is situated in the by Unesco protected pedestrion zone of the city, on walking distance from stazione principe and nearby restaurants, harbour... No trafic allowed but... (read our negative argments) Huuuuge cockroach in the bathroom - bad smell out of the foot washer without trivet - terrible disturbance on all tv channels - shower walls full of mould - no reading lounge - staff spoke only a few words english, no communication with guests - internet to pay for this room price?? - no minibar in the room to keep water cool - electricity works in all halls - not finished wall painting - window can't be opened - very noisy airconditioning machine in the room - partybeasts loudly passing through the street during night and early morning - breakfast is a disgrace : packed toast bread but no toaster, cornflakes but no milk, no fresh bread, no ham, no cheese, only few coffee cakes for all and packed cookies, no fresh juice, no eggs, no fruits
It was pleasant enough and had everything I needed.
Not far from Train station, good location. 1 hour free internet was handy. Breakfast was nice, so too was the waiter. Noise outside was awful, kept us awake most of the night. They wouldnt allow a 5 minute early breakfast because we had to catch a train. English was a struggle. Very expensive for what you get. No fridge or aircon.
nothing to like about Room layout and breakfast
Friendly staff. Clean. Close proximity to everything. It lives up to it's name - mini. But given the price...
If you don’t want to ruin your impression of Genova and Italy choose another hotel – the staff is very unpleasant and impolite.
Nice place, small price, basic hotel in a cute central road. Reception willing to help.
Very close to Porto Vecchio and the Aquarium. Staff very helpfull
