The location was excellent - ten minutes walk from the centre of Glasgow. The hotel itself was also really individual and felt very special. The breakfast was also excellent and the staff very very helpful. The Necropolis opposite the hotel makes an interesting morning. Parking was awkward - there are only a few spaces in their beer garden. We have an estate car so getting in and out of the small walled area was quite stressful!
Booking in very easy and then peace and quite. No seperate dining area from the public bar
excellent location, staff very friendly & helpful winding staircase - we had heavy luggage. The staff was very helpful and we managed ok but I am not certain whether site indicated this and it could be a problem for some travelers.
Closeness to the city, cleanliness, quietness nothing
Clean comfortable rooms, pleasant friendly staff Spiral staircase was quite steep! Just to point out to others especially if you have any knee problems!
Glasgow, view from window, access to city centre, attractive room, friendly, excellent breakfast.
good service, friendly staff, good food. Room was very clean and spacious
We liked being above the pub & restaurant since it was very convenient after a day's traveling around Glasgow to have a good meal & just walk up the winding staircase to our room. The room could use 2 comfortable chairs - there were only small wooden chairs and we liked watching the BBC and didn't really like to watch it from bed.
Friendly and professional staff, room clean, bright and fresh and comfortable. Breakfast robust Breakfast coffee a little weak for our needs ...
Generally clean. Our room felt secure and the room was clean. Beds were uncomfortable -- old and/or cheap mattresses. The toilet in our room did not work well at all -- trouble flushing, trouble refilling; we have to constantly tinker with it. Terrible smell of curry in the kitchen area -- overpowering.
