The Harbour view was uncomparably fantastic If you go there by taxi, most of the drivers were sucks
Large, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Swimming pool was very small and no out door pool. Location was ok but not great.
The staff always greeted me by Mr. Adams, they always made sure they knew my name in advance, very impressive !
Comfort and room facilities; fantastic view from a harbourside room; fitness suite and pool; chinese restaurant; choice of foods at breakfast Staff were generally very helpful, but when we returned to collect our baggage which we had left with them on our last day after checkout their attitude had clearly changed and they gave the impression of wanting to get rid of us as quickly as possible. This is a stupid and short-sighted attitude since guests are left with this as their last impression of the hotel. They need to be told that one remains a valued guest even after the money has changed hands for ones room! This will affect my likelihood of staying in a Shangri-La hotel again - at the high room rates one expects top class service, and I have never been treated like this at top Marriotts or Peninsula group hotels. Overall, however, the stay was good.
Great service and excellent location. Everything was thought about and supplied.
Nice room Housekeeping
view, bathroom, location & staff none
the view from the room it's expensive for no international brand
The hotel location is fantastic and the atmosphere is great
The Mira is different, standing out from the crowd due to it's designer look & outstanding staff. Put in on an MTR Station & it would be sublime. Note: Chief concierge from the Grand Melborne..enough said. Noise - Hotel rebuilding with jack-hammer noise during day - Don't plan to be in hotel during the day.
Great hotel , fantastic gym loved the suite and the bathroom
The rooms were, if anything, nicer and more comfortable than they looked on the web site albeit a little smallish but HK standard size. The staff were professional and very helpful both on check in and out. I was very impressed with the technology in the rooms including a wireless keyboard that controls the computer on the TV screen. Breakfasts in the restaurant and on the club floor were very nice indeed. No complaints other than cost which is also HK style Cable reception on the large LCD was grainy at best but everything else was great
The staff in the club floor are very professionals, always offering to help and assist.Excellent customer service.
staff very good no internet access is the rooms, not good for this level of hotel
every thing, it is the best hotel i have been nothing
Amenities were great. Design was good. Location was great for tourism/shopping. Waited a really really long time for a room. Promised us a room then we waited and waited after a long flight. Said they'd come to us randomly in 3 minutes. Had to repeatedly ask for room which we received at long last a little after 3 pm. ( arrived before noon) Then we had to wait an extra hour for them to find our luggage and bring it to the room. This meant a lot of lost time when time was of the essence in our trip. So, plan for this. Otherwise a great place. A lot of waiting in the cafe resto too. Hotel bar was top!
Location and big room
I thourght it was good value for the standerd of room I had chosen, the location was very central to everything I needed to see & do. No I was happy!
Rooms very old in style and decor, needs a rebuild ,
The staff was incredibly helpful especially Kitty Ting. All of our needs were met.
Location, location, and location you have to pay for the internet
Loacation, and luxury - right in the middle of Hong KOng with a gret buffet
Location was really nice, very close to shopping area and so on. We were forced to wait for long time to check-in but efforts on recovery to that failure was nice.
Location and service. Restaurant timetable. It finish very soon.
Sraff attitude and attention to detail. Can do attitude Price of food and beverages are exhorbiyant and a limiing factor to full enjoyment of the facility
Spectacular location; hotel staff very professional and friendly. Overall good services.
Congratulations on one of your staff, Mrs Mandy Tsang at the help desk, very polite and extremely helpfull!!
Executive loung very poor
Great staff anf great service N/A
The hotel staff are not expert , hotel rooms are not clean
it was a family trip and v really enjoyed staying here, very close to shopping area and harbur....
This was a hotel we have not stayed at before but the staff made you feel important and welcome. Highly recommended and would stay there again. We were very impressed with the Grand Stanford's Club Lounge area and the staff there. They even remember you by name.
the hotel location, facilitis and the good service
The Hotel was organized; it must have a very good manager The Bed was very clean but the room esp. the floor was not very much clean. I think the Hotel needs renovation.
shopping, having dinner, and relax at excutive club
higher pricing in comparision with its hotel condtiion
Convenient location on the end of Nathan Road TST
Location Very old decoration
I have stayed many times at this Holiday Inn but think now that it is a little over priced given that it is over 30 years old hotel and the area where it is located is not that good anymore but it is still a nice hotel and I would stay there again.
the staff was not at all helpful, said you booked thru booking.com, so i would get the lowest category room, even though they have diff lower class rooms,
Staff were very accommodating to our request.
The hotel staff were well trained, all they have good manner.
Very conveniently located on Nathan road close to everything.
Location Alowed late check out - 4pm Good selection of day trips - recommend Check in too long, but in the end did get the correct room (non smoke) and bed (double) Did not reply to my email on transport from the airport Pool too cold
Staff was very helpful and considerate. Reservation department was very responsive to inquiries and requests. Breakfast was good and included in price. Room was a bit small.
clean, good breakfast, enjoyed the phone which helps you go around the city rooms are too small, noise from outside if you don't have a high floor
*Affordable hotel *lovely local neighborhood *concierge were very polite *modern decor *staff have poor English skills * room service diddnt knock before walking in to our room on two occasions *breakfast buffet was fairly disappointing, restaurant staff more interested in talking with each other than serving customer's. *reception staff messed up our room payment *ruined our trip - left Hong Kong on an earlier flight.
I liked the cleanliness, and it's well maintained. But the best part was the staff! They were very good...professional, and the front desk and concierge spoke english very well. The location is either love or hate. I loved it because it wasn't in the touristy areas, but yet 10 mins walk from Mong Kok. I stayed in 3 hotels in Hong Kong and so far this is my favorite! The value for the money is OUTSTANDING for the city!!! The decor was modern and very attractive. And I really did love the neighborhood it was in...just real and authentic Hong Kong people living their lives and you get to be part of all that action. At the end of the day, just outside the Mong Kok station, there is a small park with little asian older ladies doing Tai Chi until 11PM, and I would just sit there and watch as I rested my sore feet. And it was just very peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are small, but it's to be expected. Beds are harder than western traveler's maybe used to. And it's about a 10 min walk to the MTR train stations. So after a long day of walking, it's not very convenient, but they do have a hotel shuttle running to a few of the nearby stations and other locations. You just have to catch it at the right time, or you'll have to wait another hour.
Very comfortable room, awesome view of Kowloon Smelled like smoke or incense or something on my floor, can hear everything in the hallway but it's quiet as far as outside noise goes
The view from the room is exceptional, just for the novelty of being able to say you've stayed at the tallest hotel in the world is pretty neat. The club level is smaller than it shows in pictures i've seen, but is never too crowded. Igor is one handsome man. location, a little removed from everythig
Everything was perfect Nothing
the bed is excellent! more space in the superior room
Good location Room is very small
Quiet, pleasant atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. The Hotel is well positioned for a stopover, an acceptable distance from the airport and very well placed for shopping. Bathroom a little small, a design issue mainly due to the placement of the toilet.
location is good I was very disappointed when I check-in to the hotel. There is no warm greeting, no smile face at all from the receptionist!! Some more, the one who attend to us is impolite when answering our question/enquiry, if not mistaken her name is "Kxxsty"!
Love the fragance when enter the hotel lobby. It makes the mind so relax
The location is great, our needs were attended to very well and the stay in the nicely designed hotel was very comfortable and pleasant. Thank you! We left with the tourist hotel bus taking us to the train to the airport but the exact location of the bus station was not pointed out very clearly, a small map would have been helpful.
The rooms were very clean. Pillows and bed were very comfortable. The room didn't have a bathtub.
the room was clean the staff good the size of the room is a bit small but the bed was great
Central location, great rooms.
Hotel was conveniently located for shopping and near restaurants and reasonably comfortable. Yes, totally put off by their inability to record proper name of guest. When booking made name clearly spelt out but they made a mess and my wife had great difficulty in contacting me on the phone. Used my first name and also my wife's as a "Surname". Also not pleased with deduction of deposit in full on check-in for hotel that was booked and paid for in advance in June 2009. Consider this highway robbery of one's credit card.
We needed a hotel to stay at for the night while we stopped over in Hong Kong. The room was clean and quiet and perfect for the reason we were staying. The staff tried to get us to sign up to the Novatel membership club. Once they called at 2am in the morning and then agin tried to get us to agree to it when we had a plane to catch. It was annoying and a bit of overkill.
Decent location, clean Tiny rooms, tiny bathrooms
This was my first trip to Hong Kong and I was traveling solo. The staff was incredibly helpful in giving suggested activities, marking routes on on my map and remembered my name "good morning Miss Julie, where are you going today?" I read the room description and knew the room was going to be small. I read negative remarks about the size but I found it to be quite comfortable, especially as a solo traveler. I was on the 29th floor and view was great. Location has very easy access to the subway, bus and airport express. I will definitely return. Would probably be a bit too small for a family stay with kids.
The concierge was very helpful with giving advice and directions, and the front desk staff were very efficient. The housekeeper assigned to our room spoke English and was attentive to our needs - very nice lady. Hotel is large and within walking distance of several shops, restaurants, and the MTR subway station. Room was not well ventilated, and the thermostat was difficult to adjust. Humidity was too high. As the building is a high-rise, the windows cannot be opened.
The hotel is in a decent location in the Jordan area of Kowloon. The hotel rooms are probably the smallest I've ever stayed in. And I've stayed in a lot of small rooms (including other hotels in Hong Kong).
the staff was very helpful This was the smallest hotel room ive ever stayed in, for an additionally $100 HK, I could have been at a much, much better hotel with added features.
I like best is the location of the hotel. Easily accessible to train station and convenient store. Many eatery shop available around the hotel. The room is a bit too small...however they have very good room service whereby the rooms are really clean.
Location, Good Service, Good value Internet speed was a bit slow
very bad small room. Very small and old TV set.
location is excellent , everyone knows the hotel and road . Rooms are basic but fine . The gym is crazy , just too small and picture makes it look bigger than the one at stanford hillview which is one of the reason i changed hotels
Good location for shopping Small rooms
Excellent location, efficient staff (if a bit overworked). The room furnishings and fittings are getting a bit old, so things like drain plugs are loose, the chairs a bit rickety, etc. Key complaint is the cost of Internet service - about US$15/day, which is excessive.
