Was great for the price. Enjoyed the stay. Most everything was as expected. Room was too noisy. More so than any other hotel I've stayed at in Vegas. Could hear the people in the next room very clearly.
Friendly reception Roon was hot
Room very comfortable. However, No coffee, microwave, or refrigerator. They want you to buy their overpriced stuff. Good location on the strip. You pay $30/day for a "resort fee" and when you get to the pool, there's many chairs with a "reserve" sign. They want you to pay more for their cabanas. It was difficult to get chairs and spots on the pool.
we were supposed to get a nonsmoking room but they gave us a room which you could easily smell the left over smoke inside. it took them 2 hours to change our room after more than 10 times us calling the front desk. the bathtub was full of hair. I had to go get the cleaning lady and come clean it again. terrible experience overall. they do no care about the customer experience because these companies are too big to care about individual people. I will NEVER put my foot in Tropicana "hotel" and I would recommend everyone boycotts these hotels with low quality service.
Accommodations Pool closed early
The room, the price, the casino, and the staff I had to leave early
the room was great and house keeping was very accommodating. i appreciate that valet was complimentary the only thing i would say is i felt like we were forced to upgrade because the front desk rep made our original room sound horrible. i get that they want to get upgrade for sales purposes but i shouldn't feel like my room was going to be horrible.
I like that its more quiet than the casinos on the strip. We have a toddler and it seemed like a good option given the location. Not a place for someone who likes to gamble to stay. The casino is tiny and the sports book was a joke. Very limited dining options. The rooms in the club tower were so humid it was unbearable. It was on the 60's when we were there. No matter how low you set the thermostat, it still felt humid. Maid said the club tower is like that this time of year.
I do not like the resort fee. The hotel was very good.
I liked the hotel. It was a great value! Kayak advertised the resort fee as "optional." It was Not!
Well as soon as I walked in the door I was hit with an $84 resort fee, not really the properties fault because that's the way entire industry is moving but still it's annoying when you think that you have already paid in full. The casino had lower minimums, but it wasn't exactly a place I wanted to stay and gamble for a while. The room seemed sufficiently clean. We were placed in a smoking room on our first night despite having requested a non-smoking room, when we brought this to the attention of the check in host - they stated that it is a request, and not a guarantee that we would get a non-smoking room... we went up to put our bags in the room, and were repulsed by the disgusting smell. We went to the front desk again and explain that we would have a difficult time staying in the room with the intense disgusting odor, but the host seem to laugh it off and told us to smoke marijuana in the room now that it is legal in nevada. This was not an appropriate response in my opinion, however there was nothing we could do unless we wanted to sleep on the Las Vegas strip!
Our door wouldn't lock, and we realized this just prior to meeting friends to go out. We had to call 3 times (over an hour and 15 minutes) and were told that they would move us to a new room and a bellman would be right up to move us. A maintenance person showed up to work on the room 5 minutes prior to the bellman showing up and dropping off a new key and walking away. We were given a credit and the impression that we were inconveniencing them. Won't be staying here again and I recommend finding another hotel on the strip.
meget venligt og imødekommende personal der var klar til at hjælpe med de spørgsmål/problemer jeg havde de var ikke klar med mit værelse , selv efter indtjeknings tiden var overskredet
Glimrende beliggenhed kun een blok fra The Strip, rygervenligt, OK pool-område, nydeligt udseende personale.
blow dryer, coffer maker, y fi small room, bathroom really small
Flight into Vegas arrived at 11:45pm, flight out at 7:45 am on a different airline, night of springing clocks forward, NASCAR event in town--nothing else available. Just needed a place to lay down for a few hours. While this is an older property and doesn't compare to the higher-end Vegas hotels. It was cleaner than motels we have paid much more for and it was close to the airport allowing these weary travelers a few extra minutes of sleep. Cleanliness!
The room was a good value. The pool area was well maintained. The area around the hotel is ope nto thru traffic which was a little unsettling. The carpets were worn and dirty. The room didn't have any trash cans. Maintenence doesn't appear to be a priority.
Clean and close to everything, the strip, MGM, bars, etc
The staff were helpful and the local restaurant was friendly with good service and tasty food,
I didn't like that when walking to our room, by the stairs it was a strong smell of urine and that the A/C didn't work very well.
Price and location. Helicopters and airplanes heard throughout the day and night. Construction close by and heavy traffic to airport. Double beds only. Beds need upgrading, maintenance and cleanliness can improve.
Stayed here for a conference at the Tropicana. The proximity and price were good; other than that, it was pretty average. There was a lot of noise outside one night. I never called the office, and it kept up for some time, so I have to wonder what the security guard I saw earlier was doing right then.
Cheap and location Room was tiny bed was tiny
room was very clean, had a clean fresh smell, comfortable beds. Was asleep when house keeping came around 10am left our room for the day came back at night and our Room was clean. Beds made, new towels thank you Internet was bad! coffee could be better, need more security, need bigger drive way and bigger exit an entrance
My girlfriend and I stayed for a week for a convention. We chose Howard Johnson because it was about 1/4 the cost of a normal casino/hotel on the strip, and all we needed was just a bed, a shower, a place to put our luggage, and for it to be clean. Howard Johnson met those requirements. There are no gambling machines either. This is a pure hotel, which I thought was a nice touch for Vegas. There is no breakfast. The rooms are small. The road you take to get to it doesn't register on GPS - instead it will tell you to take a different road but the hotel is blocked by a fence so you can't actually use that road, and the only entrance comes from a one-way street... If you take Uber/Lyft, make sure you call your driver to tell them where you are staying otherwise they will probably just follow the GPS and get lost. Other than that, this is a very cheap, clean, no-frills, clean hotel. You get what you pay for, but it will save you a ton compared to the major hotels if you stay for more than a few days.
It's right off the strip and the staff was nice The room was small, the bathroom had barely any room to move around sheets had holes and the back exit to the street was blocked off so if you need to get to the back street you had to go around
It's walking distance from the strip great place to stay if you only want a place to sleep and recover from partying My room was separated but my another door and I could clearly hear the people next door as they could hear me. Rooms are crowded if you get a double bed, once you open the door to are paractically on top of a bed. No fridge, no microwave. AC needs to constently be on or else the rooms smell. Bathrooms are old and nasty they need repairs. Some electrical sockets don't work.
Close to airport and casinos. Room was tight.
a bit of walking distance to the strip, but not horrible, just was there for the night to sleep the ac in the room didn't work well so room stayed warm.
It was affordable. Staff was nice, accommodating us with a late check out. Pool area was nice. Close to strip Sower didn't work properly. No hot water in room or at showers that are poolside. Very dated building and furnished. Screwed up reservation, wrong number of beds so they did fix it but no fridge or microwave in room. Very loud area, be prepared. Hard to find a parking spot
Location Lack of amenities such as blow dryer
Poor customer service
Location was great Cockroaches in room Room needs renovation Shower ran cold water
Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. Great location to strip Very dirty. Dirty blankets. Shower didnt work. Lots of broken floor tiles. Tv and tv remote was different brands so you had to change channel by hand.
Bed was comfortable and clean, as was room. Shampoo & soap were good. There were some people around the hotel in that area that made me feel a little uncomfortable, but being Vegas, that was understandable.
Close to strip Tiny room, uncomfortable bed, air conditioner never cooled the room, shower didn't stay the same temperature, no free wifi at the room
Good price and room was clean. The area was safe with security on premise. Staff was friendly. The room could have used a little paint. The tv was an CRT tv and the cabinet it was housed on took up way too much room.
Price of the room. Decent mattress. First the advertised free wifi was not working at all during our stay. The rooms air conditioner is placed right on one of the beds making it imposssibly cold and very very noisy. No hot water. We called maintenance who told us to run the water for 5-10 minutes. We did and were almost able to take a luke warm shower. The scariest part of the hotel was the number of men wandering the property. I've never felt so unsafe at a hotel before.
