The servers are very proper and the food was fabulous.

Ulemper: Alt andet - høfligt, men meget uhjælpsomt personale til at løse problemer og få gæsterne til at føle sig godt tilpas. Langsom service - værelset var ikke tilgængeligt til tiden - udsigten fra værelset så på damprør. Et af mine mest skuffende hotelophold sammenlignet med forventningerne (og jeg besøger London 6-10x årligt).
Værelset var gammelt (det var rent) og ikke opdateret for et luksushotel.

Ulemper: Jeg er ikke sikker på at jeg vil anvende booking.com en anden gang til mine ophold!!!! Hvor grotesk er det, at I “glemmer” at informere os om den årlige tilbagevendende nytårs-parade, som lukker det meste af det indre London ned for trafik, og dermed giver os store transportmæssige problemer, både ved hjemtransport fra nytårsaften, og ikke mindst ved afgang fra hotellet til lufthavnen med alt vores bagage!!!!!

Fordele: We were surprised by the quality of breakfast especially as the breakfast area was quite small but everything was so fresh and flavourful and of a really high standard. They kept replenishing the breakfast area as well. We really enjoyed our stay and ended up staying in our room longer than we thought as we had a terrace and everything was so nice and comfortable. Really liked the bar area too.

Ulemper: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

The check in staff did not advise that reservations were necessary for the rooftop bar - our 3 guests arrived, my husband requested the lift they called up & said it was ok. When my husband & guests got to the rooftop, they were seated in the restaurant. I managed to get it sorted out & we were “squeezed” in - very embarrassing. Your staff needs to advise hotel guests that RESERVATIONS are required.

Ulemper: Value for money - this hotel was similarly priced to 5 star London hotels but it does not deliver a similar experience. Housekeeping consisted of having the bed made (no turn down service or tidying). Poor hairdryer and minibar (they’ve opted for an ‘all inclusive’ style minibar which consists of water and Coca Cola, no snacks at all - would rather a chargeable bar with wider selection if that is how the hotel intends to play it). Breakfast is weird - they have a buffet and a la carte style (all a la carte items are charged additionally - fine but not fine to charge for a cappuccino or any other type of coffee that is not filter).

Fordele: Hotel staff are super friendly. They patiently answered all my questions. Also, they provided me with great advice that saved us money on taxi to train station. This hotel has a perfect location which is close to everything. Plus, hotel was kindly arranged a wonderful card, a piece of cake a bottle of Champ for my aunt who was having her birthday during our stay in London. It was a nice surprise to all of us. I will definitely recommand this hotel to my friends if they travel to London in future.

Fordele: The staff was exceptional - very nice, accommodating, helpful. Everyone was good doorman, reception, concierge, waiters, etc. They helped us with our luggage. They picked us up at the corner of the street with a trolley since cars can’t come into Leicester Square at a certain time. The family room was so big, fit all 4 of us and enough room for our huge luggages. It had a view of Leicester Square. The breakfast was great! It had a lot of great options. There was Nespresso in the room, as well.

He was very nice, considerate : he offered water, drinks, a blanket and made sure I get a room as FAST as he could. THE VALLET GUY EVERY MORNING IS JUST F A N T A S T I C It is sad that construction works are blocking the road towards your hotel. Ulemper: Det første værelse, vi fik (#352), havde en masse støj fra metroen, der gik nedenunder, til trods for at vi udtrykkeligt havde bedt om et stille værelse!

Fordele: How friendly and helpful the staff were. The bed was very comfortable and the food was good. As this was a joint business / mini-break it was good to be conveniently located for both Victoria and central London.

Ulemper: Har en lille check-in-skranke midt i caféen, som var overfyldt, da jeg ankom. Jeg har været nødt til at vente i mere end 10 minutter for at tjekke ind og ud. De virker lidt uorganiserede foran og kunne bruge et ordentligt receptionsområde.

Ulemper: Was on a business trip and an iron would have been useful. Great sound insulation save could hear running water from showers in other rooms - it was that or very noisy air-con. Not sure paying for a room with windows was worth it as was on the ground floor with opaque windows that were directly onto the pavement outside so just pulled down blackout blinds.

Ulemper: The room was very small Unfortunately for me the day I checked in the aircon wasn’t working so you can imagine after traveling from the middle of England to London I was hoping to rest when I arrived, but the room was so hot I couldn’t. It was August and 30 degrees so this was rather dissatisfying. The hotel did put a small fan in my room but I wasn’t able to sleep very well due to the discomfort. The hotel offered me a complimentary Breakfast

Ulemper: Staff was so rude. The first person that checked us in around 11 said to come back 2/2:30 and our room should be ready. We came back at 2:53 and the lady at the front desk said “check in is at 3. You can wait in the lobby until 3” without event checking if our room was available. In addition, we had indicated in our reservation that our flight got in early and the hotel responded that they would try to accommodate us. So much for trying.

Ulemper: Staff in general needs more hospitality training, especially front-desk (too many juniors). No pro-active / smiling attitude in general, no friendly chats. Bar / bar area is heavily under utilised and could be made into a nice area to hang out. I always like cozy bar areas in hotels, with good atmosphere, friendly lighting and some background music (good for booze sales as well!) - but this was missing unfortunately. 2 exceptions, bar staff Jezus and Simina were wonderful and do understand the importance of making your guests feel welcome. Breakfast - food selection is fine (full english always nice) - but personally I find a good coffee (cappuccino / espresso) very important and this is sorely missed. Simply invest in a good, self-service coffee machine and I'm sure the guests will give top marks for breakfast. Beds slightly too firm for my liking - but this is personal preference.

We booked a room without windows and that was fine, we were only in the hotel at night anyway. Despite being so close to the station our room was very quiet. The cheese and wine buffet in the evening is great!

There was a kitchenette in our suite, which meant that we could self-cater on some days - a significant saving in high season. There is also a guest laundry. Ulemper: The bed was squeaking with every little move, which was extremely annoying. The bed sofa's mattress was of poor quality and uncomfortable to sleep in. There was little natural light available.

Fordele: It’s all about location! Just a few steps from Trafalgar Square and so central to everything. There was a kitchenette in our suite, which meant that we could self-cater on some days - a significant saving in high season. There is also a guest laundry. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Ulemper: There was no window in our bedroom and although there was a small opening window in the adjacent study nook, it felt quite claustrophobic. (The staff did their best by providing a small fan for air circulation.) The air conditioning unit was very noisy, but nothing that ear plugs didn’t fix.

Ulemper: I m astonished that the Grosvenor has never installed entrance/exit ramps. At the Buckingham Palace Street entrance there is a flight of around 8 steps to reach the revolving entry door and there are an even larger number at the Victoria Station exit. And no there is not a porter very often available to assist. Lovely old hotel, superior location, gracious responsive staff, extensive good value buffet breakfast - but an absolute bear to get into!

Ulemper: I tried to change my booking for breakfast in the morning and that seemed an issue, also directly above me the fire alarm was blinking and kept me up during the early morning. Then the fire alarm went off - luckily only for a minute or so - but when I came down nobody told me anything about what had happened which I thought was strange.

Very minor points and didn't impact our stay just thought I would make you aware

Fordele: The location is excellent (just behind the Tate Museum & the MI-5 HQ, as well as only a couple of minutes away from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey). Tube stations are 10min.+ away, but the area is well covered by buses. The common spaces look clean and modern and the staff is friendly and polite (but nothing "over the top", though). If you manage to get a good deal, it could be a very affordable hotel in the middle of London. I paid £550 for 5 nights, but a few days before or a few days after my stay and I could've easily paid around £1,200 for the same number of nights in the same period - mid-August.

Ulemper: Værelserne minder om små sovesale, komplet med MAC som tv/underholdningssystem. Badeværelserne er ekstremt små, og du har en håndvask, hvor du næsten står i bruseren for at børste dine tænder. Room service-maden er meget gennemsnitlig kvalitet ligesom på college. Jeg følte, at jeg var tilbage i en underlig college-type, hvor jeg boede på dette hotel.

Ulemper: We have just recently traveled through France and Switzerland and stayed in many hotels, every one had coffee on tap in the lobby (free) and two bottles of water in the room, not this hotel in the UK capital. When we arrived back at the hotel for a night cap at the bar around 10pm the coffee machine had been cleaned and no longer available for a expresso martini , come on Hilton this is the capital of the uk and it’s closed at 10pm , bar is still open but limited to a reduced cocktail menu and no food, and in Europe you get nibbles with your drink whether you want them or not, not in a Hilton.

Wonderful warm shower. Daughter and I really enjoyed our 3 day visit 10 out of 10 . So glad I choose this hotel to visit London. P.S thought the chocolate cookies that was handed to us on arrival ( meet and greet ) and departure was wonderful and they were delicious.

I paid £550 for 5 nights, but a few days before or a few days after my stay and I could've easily paid around £1,200 for the same number of nights in the same period - mid-August.
Ulemper: The rooms are a bit outdated and could do with a fresh coat of paint and some new carpeting at the very least. The design is also very simple and minimal, which gives an overall "basic" feeling. Some refurbishment would go a long way in improving the comfort of guests and would justify some of the heftier rates charged by the hotel (probably off the back of the hotel's premium location rather than room comfort and facilities).

Ulemper: Small twin bedroom. Only white toast no brown. Had to ask for tea coffee sugar every day. No happy about the nail in the floor outside the shower. Which I constantly stood on. Tv too far away to watch properly. This was only our room not sure about other rooms.

Da vi havde været der i 10 min ville hotel personalet ikke lade os flytte uden at betale for 2 nætter selv om deres værelser var direkte sundhedsskadelige. Vi valgte selv at finde andet overnatnings sted med hjælp fra booking.com

Ulemper: The room needs paint! The mattress was very poor. The bathroom needs to be improved. The toilet seat was broken. This was a POOR room. We can not recommend this hotel.
