excellent service and concierge. great pool. fantastic restaurant and brunch. cool rooms
your "english"staff and all the architecture
Excellent experience, very welcoming staff with good attention to detail, well located and very good in-house dining options. Interesting designs used throughout the hotel.
The spa is very good and the heated pool. The brunch was also good.
Everthing Lack of power outlets near bed. But had a wonderful time
Nothing beside the breakfast
Interior decorations, bartenders, the lady at Altitude that walked my friends and I to the daybeds, and the drinks Customer service, mixing up the reservations, the room smelling like cigarette smoke after have it serviced, luggage bags were not delivered until after 3 hours of checking in, and the hand held shower head would leak water when the dial to only have the shower head was on.
Exceptional and very relaxed service, not at all in your face but everything was possible! The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and for LA the room was exceptionaly quite. All in all my best hotel experience in USA!
Arrived at hotel at 4:30 pm after a 7 hour drive. Our room was not yet ready. Asked if we could wait at the lounge. The lounge and restaurant were reserved for a private party. They recommended finding an restaurant on the street nearby. We just drove for 7 hours and didn't want to search for a "place" to wait somewhere outside of the hotel. We finally were allowed to our room...which was nothing as shown in pictures. It was dark, dingy with no seating beside the bed. Because the restaurant and lounge were "reserved", and we were too tired to venture out to eat, our only option was room service. We ordered chicken Caesar salad. Although they said it would take 45 minutes...it arrived in 15. A salad with chicken breast on the side. Much to our disgust...as we sliced the chicken to add to the salad, it was not just under cooked...it was RAW! completely inedible. It took 4 calls to room service and guest services to have someone come to our room to witness the meal, acknowledge the error and remove it from the room. This room was 350.00 per night with valet...I've had better treatment in a 75.00 a night motel. I will never revisit this Hotel.
Excellent service and great suite W views. Signage for gym directions needs to improve.
Possibly one of the greatest hotels I've stayed at within the Los Angeles county. From a friendly courteous staff, to an impeccably clean room, Sofitel has lived up to its standards as well as exceededing them. -The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as luxurious and comfortable as possible with their luggage assistance, complementary calls, rapid response to requests, and much more. -The room was spotless and featured many extra amenities not normally included in other hotels. -A glass window separating the bedroom from the shower exemplified the uniqueness of this hotel and offers a romantic setting for couples. -To top this stay off, the chefs truly know their way around a kitchen. Our breakfast was delightful and very artful. I highly recommend all guests to attend the restaurants or enjoy a meal within your room. Overall, a wonderful experience at the hotel Sofitel. I will gladly be returning in the near future as well as forwarding friends and colleagues. No comment
the comfort of the bed We got an upgrade but the room was tiny.
Very nice and clean. Great value and great location. Lower floors can be loud at night if there is an event in the restaurant.
Beautiful room, helpful staff, comfortable bed. Needed to wear ear plugs as the road noise is quite loud.
Great location, cool hip vibe Very small room, Unresponsive service, air conditioning in room broken, shower in bathroom was actually worse than an old holiday inn. Things were just broken down, dirty, and nobody seemed to care. For a luxury hotel, a huge disappointment.
Location, location, location Small room, expencive parking.
It was comfortable enough for me to return for a second time and felt right at home. The staff is genuinely nice without being gratuitous. Love the outdoor cafe for breakfast.
great room with great view facing the hills on 9th floor i was sick and the maid unfortunately took away my thermos jug with tea, even though i put it off the tray and next to my bed
Great staff and great hotel, a little pricey for the size of the room but overall great stay Wifi was down with no notice, was on the phone with IT for over an hour
Everyone was very accommodating. Every staff member was friendly and helpful! We received directions from concierge staff as well as valet help! Room service saved us many times! The pool was perfect - the drink and meal service fabulous! The gym and spa were hidden gems! Don't miss the spa! Fighting the closet door, bathroom door and main door! Bathroom was very nice , but the shower water continually leaked to the floor because if the glass door design. Housekeeping got their daily service completed only one day. I started calling to tell them to service the room. One night they tried to service the room at 10 pm and continually knocked at 8 to do the same
The staff was extremely professional, courteous and helpful. One of the best experiences I have had traveling with a toddler.
Not a real Four Seasons and drab in many areas. Worn furniture
I had a short and lovely stay at The Orlando Hotel. The staff was so nice, especially the concierge, Alan, who checked me in and immediately made me feel at home. I will definitely stay here again on my next L.A. Trip.
Great location, nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Little to no electrical outlet access for charging electronics.
A great central location - friendly helpful staff - soft beds - spotless clean - Bar needs to be bigger ??? Never an open seat !
Really comfortable bed, divine burger (room service), just perfect for one night of comfort before getting back on the road. The fan in the bathroom is synced to the light so it's always on if the lights are on.
Right price; clean, convenient ; Staff excellent. Neighborhood sketchy
Great for business/leisure mix with excellent location and wonderful roof pool and restaurant. Roof has a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere and great views of the Hollywood hills. Early breakfast on the roof a great way to start the day and ending it there with a glass of wine makes for a great stay. Missed not having a gym onsite.
really nice, boutiquey kinda pricy
The room was clean, comfortable and modern, with spacious accommodations. The rooftop was the highlight; it's small, but a nice setup, quiet, and a convenient meeting space. The pool closed at 6pm, which was deemed to be too early by everyone enjoying the sun. That also meant, unless you were going to eat at a table, you couldn't even sit around the pool. I also was not a fan of having to pay for the WiFi given the nightly rate.
The room was nice. The location of the hotel. The staff at the rooftop pool/restaurant. Room viewa
Great location for the places I wanted to see (comedy clubs, upscale dining, great mall). Only problem is the sign for the hotel. If you are arriving after dark you will not see them. I passed it twice and ended up parking somewhere else and walking the street to find it (and every place you park in LA costs money).
Location Location Location. Directly across the street from The Grove and within walking distance from shopping and more food. And a short/not horrible drive from the beach, downtown, hollywood blvd, runyon and LACMA. And the staff is so freaking nice! And the Panna Cotta at Tart was delish. The excellent location makes up for the motel-ish feel. Its just dated. Motel-like feel. Just overall dated. Ive stayed here twice so its not THAT bad. The amazing staff and location make up for it all. Ill would stay again for sure.
location, location nothing
I loved the ambience, tight down to the sausage and egg art on the wall in my room! The open air feel of the hotel was perfect for the sunny weather in CA. They have a nightly whiskey tasting and complimentary snacks at the front desk. There are plenty of areas to hang out outside your room and a foosball table in the courtyard. Although I didn't use the pool, I could see it from the 2nd floor deck and it was full of ducks (rubber ones, not real ones.) the location is right across from The Grove at Farmer's market so plenty of shopping and dining experiences are within walking distance. Also, the employees were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. My bed squeaked every time I moved. It's a good thing I was so tired because I slept through most of it, but light sleepers would probably be bothered by it. The wifi is very slow. I wish there was self parking; I hate valeting my car.
Cute themed hotel and the theme was carried nicely throughout. Good location, steps from the farmers market and grove shopping. The air conditioner in our room was crazy loud. It woke us up every time it turned on which seemed to be every 15 minutes, all night long.
I liked the vibe, Peets next door, nice room. I like the decor - loved the Bull Farm diorama! View out my window, but it was OK.
Towels good Pillows smelled
We liked our stay in the Wilshire Crest : we arrived at around 10pm - the front desk clerk was very energetic, friendly and offered his help without becoming a burden: He stepped outside to help me park the car and made sure we're comfortable in our room. Our room was spacious, simply furnished and clean. Similarly, the bathroom was functional and very clean. Overall the hotel is comfortable and simple. It does not convey any luxury but it is pleasant to stay and definitely affordable. I'd say that in it's price range it's probably one of the best facilities you can find. I think the only downside is the street parking. You will find parking for sure - if not in the street then in the adjacent parking lot across the street. Either options is free. Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.
it was clean, helpful manager, breakfast.
