Hotel Erwin is perfectly located on Venice beach, the staff is excellent, restaurant serves excellent breakfasts, nothing to complain about.
The hotel is realy gret. Great staff, wonderful instalations..... So I really could live there. The price and the cost to park, once the garage is inside the building of the hotel.
Great location, very new, and very nice staff! Perfect place in Venice.
We loved the new and greatly designed rooms, as well as the young atmosphere of the hotel. The rooftop bar will take off - it is a great place. We will be back! The staff needs some more time together to make everything run smoothly. But they were always very nice and friendly - thanks for a great time with you!
Was given great upgrade; rooftop is fantastic Absolutely everything was great!
It was close and convenient to my son who lives in Venice. Stayed there in Dec. in the newer rooms on the top floor which was much nicer than the room I had this time. Also, I think the 6th. floor room was about the same price as the room where I was this time.(5th floor) Yes, I opened the sliding door during the night for some fresh air. It was difficult to sleep because of the noise(homeless sleeping in the alley) that my room overlooked.
Miguel was fabulous and helped us in many ways, he went above and beyond. The entire staff was friendly and helpful The music on the roof did keep us up, and the ear plugs cost money
The remodel is first class. The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina. $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel. No complaints.
Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach. Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits. Beds were super comfortable. $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T
Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel. Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Marina Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
I like the avalibiliy of the staff For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
the location room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room. time it took to get the food valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
Service Rooms not ready for check in
Room was nice and clean Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Parking fee not included in stay
The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!

Staff was great, clean room, white sheets, plenty of sunlight in our room....A+ A+ A+ Parking could be closer, nonetheless it works!
Location, manager is helpful Some homeless and weird people around the hotel.
First floor mini apartment right on the beach. Loved the decor and how we were amongst it all. Having said that, quiet at night & very safe area. No... Booked at short notice and exceeded our expectations.
Venice Suites offers a genuinely helpful staff, modern and super-clean rooms, fantastic roof deck and an unparalleled location right on the beach/boardwalk. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. :)
Windows did not lock, no one in the office most of the time, crazy tennants
We didn't like it, we LOVED this hotel!!! The view, the roof, the elevator, the beach is right outside the door, everything was Amazing! We will definitely stay here again and again :)
Location can't be beat, directly on the beach. Room was very clean and pleasant, parking was a few blocks but walkable. Rooftop terrace had a great view and nice seating. The neighborhood is noisy, especially at night. This didn't bother us but those who want quiet might want a more remote location.
I liked how it was perfect for a couples getaway, especially with the room we purchased. Hard unloading our things since the lot next to it was full.
Perfect in every way. Room was fantastic, the rooftop was dreamy, location is exactly what we wanted. Parking is a hassle, but that is absolutely to be expected in this area...and it is free.
The location was awesome! Beach front, you can't beat that!
We absolutely LOVED this place. I would give it a 4 or 5 star status. The parking was not close, but we would stay here again. Probably our favorite Hotel we have stayed in. Ever.
Excellent Not a off parking
comfortable bed, friendly staff bed had a "white stain" and was very musty. woken up at 2am to someone getting assaulted next-door. you can literally hear your neighborhoors cough or sneeze.
store/fwy acess No drinks in vending machine
The room seemed clean (I'm also a germ-o-phobe so I clean everything anyway, 5 start hotel or not) & spacious for someone who just wanted somewhere to stay - without interest in amenities. I drove so proximity amenities or food within walking distance wasn't important. I had a room on the ground floor with no other rooms above. As for it being a bad neighborhood, it's no West Hollywood, but for someone who left early and was in before dark, I didn't hear or see anything bad. The parking lot was really small and took some maneuvering in to spaces but that being said, I didn't have a problem finding a spot close to my room. The walls are paper thin, I could hear the phone vibrating for the person in the next room & when they talked on the phone. Obviously this is a design flaw that can't be changed but if you're a light sleeper you might have a problem, I had none.
price was good although they charge another $2 to use a credit or debit card. Bath towels were old and dingy, of the four available power outlets only one worked and I had 3 things to plug in, check-in office is poorly marked and difficult to find, decor is tacky and atrocious
Nothing Non smoking room smells cigarette. Dirty, dirty, dirty!!!
Close to los angeles Light lol
it was kind of cozy. The bed was comfy and it had more then two pillows. There were plenty of towels... The place had a very bad odor to it when I went in. The floor by the bathroom was soaking wet.
I've stayed here before for a few days - great location and generally a very good place to stay. However the room was a bit musty when I entered - not enough for me to want a new oom but noticeable. Facilities are OK - bathroom very cosy though. Would definetly stay again.
Clean room and convenient location. Nice common areas. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. The best price for the overpriced area. This location has under gone a half hearted renovation. The price doesn't match the quality. The layout of the property is odd and there are no rooms with good views. Some of the furniture is banged up. The water temperature is difficult to control in the sinks. Sewer gas smells would come from the bathroom drains at night. Lower levels can hear movement from upper levels.
Good location and staff was very accommodating.
Comfortable and homey!
Charming, great location, interesting architecture, right amount of funk, very helpful staff, good breakfast. door knobs were a problem, but it is a real problem for an old house where you are trying to keep it authentic. Half the rooms have a shared bath—not a problem, but good to know about.
