Guess my hubby would have worte the same, we both love the room so much. Casino is really crowded so we went for shopping aournd Taipa and headed back for an evening massage. The couple resting room is fantastic and we both enjoyed although we prefer the ones in Bangkok but in Macau , this is indeed one of the best. Love it, service is ok.
Pros: Hotel is new and no expense was spared. Deluxe rooms spacious and extravagantly appointed -- e.g. in bathroom, you'll find quality fixtures, soaker tub, separate marbled-lined shower and a plasma TV.Friendly staff.Cons: No seating in reception for guests waiting to check-in. Sensors in bar area keep tabs on drinks. No newspaper, mints on pillow, etc.
Stayed Encore this time. Huge room with big flat screen, a super comfy bed, pillows are fab. Very trendy room. Casino area is really busy yet very clean. It was far from pool but i went to spa instead. The most impressive private resting area with hi-tech facility in their spa, superb!! Try the macanese massage, awesome :)
i like how spacious the room was. i also like its location. a lot. one, it has an old building smell. i had rhinitis during our stay. two, it didn't have any windows. three, room service didn't know how to speak English so she hung up on me when i called.
location requested non smoking but was not provided
Lighting in the room
the free shuttle bus service to the feery terminal the rooms are very comfortable and clean
best location best location near major casino and most attractive visitor places
Excellent location. old. Need upgrade
The place is convenient to the shopping and eating place. It is very near to Senado and other tourist spots. I hope that the Customer Relation officer can speak English better so the guest can understand or communicate better.
Great hotel localtion provides an excellent view of the city and easy access to public transport. Small lobby space
The hotel is accessible to tourist spots. None.
Room was clean and rate is cheaper compared to other hotels of the same level. uncomfortable/firm bed
A really enjoyed the friendliness and service oriented staff. They, individually and as a whole went out of there way to make my trip upbeat and seamless and they were successful. Nothing.
Everything is walking distance. The staff are pretty rude! Not the front desk but everywhere else. No bother in helping you at all and if they do they are very rude about it and just point you instead of really helping! Not so foreign friendly at all.. Please teach staff to be more courteous to guest! i don't know if that's just how they are but in Las Vegas everyone is very courteous and helpful rather than just pointing! This is what makes Las Vegas one of kind! They really make you not want to leave!!!
everything steaming shower system. I still do not how to use it.
They have Fantastic Steam Showers!!! Wonderful historic decor and a Friendly staff. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this property is due to the less then impressive exterior ;)
A lot of facilities. and cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. Poor service and staff's negative attitude towards their guest, they are not helpful. Not very equip with baby facilities like baby chair.
The view from our room (seaview) The noise from the current renovations, and the bed was a bit hard for me.
Really good hotel. No taxi driver understand English - unable to get to the hotel using booking.com confirmation. The hotel is not listed in the information terminal at ferry station. Phone specified in the booking is not correct.
Facilities are old. Noise from renovation in another wing.
Good window view. The hotel never know what the customer wants.
the view from our hotel window the bed is too hard and the price is too much for that quality
The view from the room across the bay towards the bridge at night is outstanding. We also appreciated the shuttle service. The breakfast was very good. The dinner consisting of Western food was not satisfactory and far too expensive.
Convenient location if you want to avoid the big-hotels area More in the 2-3 stars range, staff barely speak english and not very friendly
Noise and distance frm the casino.
Location, convenience, and service all above norm. Highly recommend for romantic privacy or quiet vacation breakfast offer too expensive
Facilities to view the Macau GP from the roof Rooms could do with being refurbished. No automated way of paying credit card (manual slips and call to CC company). Charge for instant coffee. Checking out procedure took a long time as they check mini bar. If I ever stay there again I will ask for the Bar to be emptied
Hotel is situated on the hill and room with a balcony offered a good view of the city at night. District is godo as well, with a UN building and various schools around. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They helped us to call places to find a forgotten camera. Internet is free in the room. Snacks and water in the room are priced like in convenience stores (cheap). TV offers international channels. Great and inexpensive dimsum restaurant on premises. For those wishing to spicy up evenings, there is a night club in the ground floor with strip-tease show and more. Breakfast option is limited to dim-sum restaurant. While making absolutely great dim-sum, this is not the best breakfast option. Guests may want to chose to go to a nearby Hotel Royal for Chinese/western breakfast buffet (HK120). Location is not ideal for visiting the city, since you'll need a shuttle or taxi to reach most of city destinations. Arriving to the hotel by taxi, make sure you have it's Chinese name written on a paper and show this to the driver, otherwise the driver won't understand where to go.
Price worth for the services Too noicy as there are always group tour members
clean room, location
Nice older hotel with good facilities, friendly staff and excellent Chinese restaurant in the lobby. Also, Guia Hill area is a very nice area of Macau to walk and explore the real Macau, not the casinos. I will stay there again. There is a pervading musty smell in the hotel.
I lik the location of the hotel bcause it is on Guia Hill, the highest part of Macao and besides Guia Hill is also historic.
I had no serious problems with the hotel. The architecture and decorating is rather bland. The breakfast and dinner buffet was on the low end for Asian hotels. The location is good. I love Macau!
I booked this hotel on recommendation of a client in Singapore. It was well worth the money spent. I will be returning in February. I tried to book on their website without success.
The room is big and clean
Nice place to stay for couple of days
Peace and quiet Wished breakfast had started earlier
the room no casino
Room features & facilities, bellboy is very alert&helpful, shuttle bus driver very efficient & polite majority staff commands English poorly-F/O,bell service,h/keeping
I liked the location of the hotel, the room, the staff was very helpfull, and I had the nice view from my room which was one of the things that I asked for.
nice hotel with excellent servive
Value for money was good and rooms seem to be new.
Generally well. My family love the rooms and the bathrooms were very clean. The hotel staffs were very polite and helpful. The lift was quite slow. I believe this can be improved.
Beautiful hotel, good breakfast, nice staff, lovely room. The bed was rock hard!!!!
The staffs are nice and helpful. I am totally okay to stay in this hotel again if the price less than $90. The location is easy for me to find a taxi. Very convenient to go to anywhere in Macau with a small pay for example mop$90 to Venetian and mop$60 to central. I booked at wrong timing. It is in construction for remodeling the hotel. It is very noisy. They startet at 10am - 6pm. The hotel seems a little bit old school. That is why it needs to be remodeled and offered a low price for me.
Great hotel with great amenities in a great location. Pool facility is fantastic and staff was extremely accomodating. Room itself was a tad dated, but upkeep was great. Location near the main ferry terminal is fantastic. With regards to some of the poorer reviews, the key is value. If you are showing up here and expecting a brand new five-star hotel, you are going to be a little disappointed. If that is what you want, there are plenty of options down the street that cost 5X as much. For me, I found the Grand Lapa to be a tremendous value that exceeded my expectations.
its good hotel location, good management, hospatiality is wonderful. not so many entertriment facility aviliable.
Reception staff was helpful. Room was excellent with a good view of Macau jockey club. Free shuttle service to Macau ferry terminal was very convenient. Curreny exchange available nearby. McDonald's and Pizza hut in the vicinity (fifteen minutes walk).
The design of the bathroom is really special, particularly suitable for couples. The LCD television is also appreciated. The view outside the room. Nothing special to see.
The room is really big, clean, good smell even its smoker room ! the bathroom is awsome, huge beautiful bath tube... really good value for money
the hotel is far form the city center, schuttle bus run every 30 min. to the ferry always full.
I particularly like the room - tasteful lay out and great comfort. The renovation noise and the ever crowded lobby!!
Location, very accessible to other places. difficulty in communicating (english) with staff.
Free upgrade to the suite. The room looks good however, there is some smell that make me feel uneasy...
Value for money excellant service highly recommended with super staff Free shuttlt bus has one stop only that is to fairy port
our room was decently clean. staff was oaky but there was this particular doorman who likes to smile a lot..he courteously greets the guests. He helps carry baggages of arriving and leaving guests. I think his name is "jim". One of the friendly staff members of the hotel. Unlike on the other hotel we stayed in, we had to remind the front officer that we need someone to assist us with our baggages. no free bottles of water for guests, don't like the room slippers made of plastic material
The hotel was nice and inexpensive. Staff was helpful and polite. Swimming pool was closed because of winter (altough it was about +25 degrees...)
Great location and value for the money, free shuttle from ferry. Gym and Pool;
It is centrally located in the Macau peninsular, convenience to all casino attractions, shops and historical landmarks but minus the noise plus free shuttle to/from ferry. Good rate only apply to weekdays in advance booking. Despite its excellent location, the hotel facilities and accommodations need improvement to attract return guest.
Good quality hotel at a good price Final bill was in local currency (pataca) rather than HK$ as quoted. I was stung (slightly) on the non-optional conversion rate.
Location is good. Can find plenty of food at surrounding area and seven-eleven convenience store only right in front of the hotel. The bed is really "tiny" for the 4 star hotel.
Hotel was in good location, has no-smoking floors, TV and light controls on tables were nice. Bathroom were decent and we like the lock box for valuables. The view to the ocean was nice too. We didn't like the bed, hard as rock, Chair has more cushions in it than bed. Need to change to better more comfortable beds. Carpet had many stains, the no-smoking room smelled like smoke. We wouldn't stay in this hotel again unless the beds were better.
Location was close to the Macau GP circuit which was my reason for visiting. The room was quiet and the hotel clean and friendly.
Location is good To many rude Mainlanders
The hotel price is best compare with quality offered.
Location is good. Close to the airport with a free shuttle. Other resorts such as Parisian, Venetian or Wynn palace are nearby (walking distance). Stuff is friendly and tries to be helpful. Check-in and checkout could be more organized. There seems to be never enough counters open. Even though there are several employees standing around. Although there are several places to eat (buffets, food court, restaurants) the lunch/dinner selection is rather narrow. True international cuisine or attempt to distinguish itself from any other Macau hotel/resort is missing.
Had to weigh and hour to check in because they couldn't find online reservation Not fun at 12:30 at night. Staff was not accommodating. Made the whole staff unpleasant
