It was close to the dolphins stadium. Don't come in any before 3:00 and expect to check in. They said you could check in early but it would cost $30. When we did check in the remote was gone in out room so we ask the front desk for one and was told they would get us one. then we rested for a couple of hours and went to check out the bathroom and noticed it didn't have a door. I went up front again and ask if we could get a door. with a confused look on his face said he would see what he could do. a couple of hours later we was still waiting for the remote and door we decided to leave so went back to front desk to see about the progress. a different lady said that they would get us another room. after we got into the new room the TV remote didn't work on the OLD TV so I took it back to the desk to tell them about it the guy who really didn't speak very good English said I needed to take it back to the room and program it. after the first day we left the room till 3:30 and cam back to a room that hadn't been cleaned or given new towels so we just figured it was par for the course. about 20 minutes later a cleaning lady knocked on the door but didn't speak any English so I told her to leave us some new towels and we would make due. after a few minutes and us showing her the towels she figured out she figured out what we was saying and just left. we thought she was going to bring us towels but 2 hours later she still didn't bring then so back to the desk we went to get towels. after they figured what we was trying to get we got some and could shower. another hour later the cleaning lady came back and brought us more towels. everything after that went great till breakfast the next morning. went down to eat the continental breakfast and it was cereal and apples and oranges that was frozen solid. I decided to get the cereal and noticed the milk was frozen solid so the cereal was out I decided to drink some orange juice and it was frozen solid. The only thing left was a muffin and it was only really cold so I decided to eat that but it tasted really old so I decided to check out and go to a quickstop for breakfast. So other that these setbacks it was Ok I guess .
Don't look at the online pictures and get attracted. The hotel is smelly, old rooms, dirty bathrooms. The front desk will not change your room once assigned. Don't recommend for families.
This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. Dirty, really dirty, so horribly dirty.
Responsive to my complaints It took 3 rooms to finally feel a little bit of comfort. The first two rooms had bugs..
I do not like it, front desk staff do not cooperate with house keeping, exchange an adult pillow fail. Bathroom fan not working. No phone no iron but a dirty iron board. Ceiling has a leak spot. Bed is not balance and very soft. Mold founf inside the wood drawers. Dirty with spots visible on window curtain. Everything including no breakfast. Dirty old carpet in hall way and smelt.i would not give even 1 star.i also allmost felt from bed.
The ONLY thing enjoyable about this hotel was the fact that it was 5 minutes from the Sun Life Stadium. The entire hotel had a humid feel to it, as if the air conditioning wasn't working properly. The air conditioner in the hotel room was a window unit. The bath tub was absolutely nasty when we arrived. There may have been a total of 10 working channels on the TV. And worst of all, we paid over a hundred dollars for a room that just wasn't worth that kind of money. ESPECIALLY when we had stayed at a Howard Johnson the night before that was perfect for only forty dollars!
-It had an open room and we only needed it for the night. -The aesthetic of the outside is very neat. - Some of the staff was very friendly. -It was quiet. - We checked in early, which was fine, but we weren't told there was an early check-in fee of $33 until after we checked out. - We were checked out before we even left our room. It was just odd that they'd run out credit card before we asked to leave. - There aren't many amenities in the room. It is obviously an older hotel. It could really stand some renovations. - The blankets on the bed look like they haven't been replaced since the place opened. There were threads coming off of it and it just looked old. - Fine for a cheap one night on your way to somewhere else, but just not worth the money they're asking. - It is located in the middle of an industrial complex. There is literally nothing to do besides swim in the pool at the hotel. There is a Sketchers shoes outlet in walking distance and that's it. It's about a 20 - 30 minute cab ride from the airport/ downtown Miami/ Miami beach.
Nothing The pic online is not how the hotel looks! People actually live there! Hotel smells like weed, there was no remote for the tv, only 10 channels, no iron, no blow dryer, no ice and no phones at all! There was nice feaces under the bed, my husband boxer is disappeared and we found it on our last day making sure we didn't leave nothing behind under the ac with holes on it!!! Hotel is unsanitary!!! Disgusting!!!
Nothing. If I new what I know now I would have slept in my car. The hotel is dirty, filthy, stinky, shady people were wondering all night banging to my door. There were 2 towels for 3 people. I felt like I was in a developing country not in US. I didn't feel safe with my family there.
The 3 hours of sleep I got clutching my wallet and phone in case of break in was adequate. Dirty, loud, dirty, broken TV, dirty, gross bed, dirty, drug and alcohol parties in the hall, scary.
There was a massive Jacuzzi in my room. 1. ~15 males in the lobby, wearing either all red or no shirts at 9:00 pm when I checked in, and at 11:30 when I went to my car. Observed cars pulling up to the lobby, one of the males approaching the vehicle for a few minutes, and then walking back to lobby. 2. Theft of medication during the day, potentially by hotel staff. 3. Much of the hotel appears to be rented to section 8 types.
I was impressed rooms extremely ckean. Hotel personal very pleasant. Nice hotel for your money. Needs an updated ice machine does not look very clean and ice comes out watery.
Nothing It was a pimp hotel , drug house! They had about 5 pimps and hoes all night in the lobby the housekeepers are rude they barely clean and want you to leave the room so they can put the SAME sheets on the bed sweep and lift the toilet seat up so You think they did something NEVER AGIN
Rooms are very clean
It was located a few miles from my shool, which was a big plus for me. Parking lot in front of the hotel. That is about it. Internet service was very inconsistent and slow throughout my stay (and I stayed there for 5 days). Water pressure in the shower - weak, while the temperature of the water was flactuating during my shower. The sheets barely fit the bed and would consistently come out, which was annoying to me personally. Choice of TV channels is poor. No ESPN. The little fridge in the room barely keeps things cold. Cooler and ice did a better job for me. Bottom line is that it is a relatively cheap place to stay. A roof over yournhead and a bed to sleep on. That is it. And be ready to do a lot if sacrifices.
The hotel is well located, but has an unpleasant odor. With some problems in the bathroom which were then fixing. On the other all right
Smelled horrible. Grime on floors. Crackheads fighting in other rooms
The breakfast wasn't too bad my kids enjoyed it. There were random people alway hanging around in the lobby and out in the parking lot. I'm assuming that they live there. Each morning it would smell like weed in the bathroom I don't know if the people next to me were smoking it or what.
Decent wifi. Room was comfortable and quiet The room seemed a bit old. Could use refurbishment. The extractor in the bathroom wasn't working
The bed was very comfortable. The first night there I walked out of the elevator into a huge cloud of pot smoke and several highly intoxicated people running and yelling in the hallway. As my stay progressed I learned that those "guests" had actually been living there in the hotel for some time. The staff did nothing to take control of the situation. Furthermore, in the evenings, there were several people just hanging around outside the buildings... I felt very uncomfortable any time that I had to go out to my car or to dinner...
El tamaño de las habitaciones, limpieza y comodidad de las camas. No controlan el fumado de marihuana en las habitaciones, al menos en el 6to piso. Desayuno poco suculento.
Olía a mariguana
Housekeeping was accommodating. Location/neighborhood. Safety is not on my list.
I liked alot of the view, the beach is calm,is very family...the facilyties like a supermarket,retaurants,pharmacie,etc...
The staff were very friendly and made every attempt to make me and my friends feel comfortable.
excellent location close to beach staff very helpful and friendly parking expensive as only valet available. rooms could do with a little maintenance work wouldn,t need a lot of money to be spent on them to take them from ok to very good but a pleasent stay.
1. Location (pé na areia). 2. Excellent size bathroom. 3. Neutrogena products. 4. Lots of pillows. 5. Good convenience store in the basement. 6. Free internet in the business centre. 7. Free USA Today 1. Thousands of little ants over the sink table (in the 14th floor!!!). 2. Very dirty carpet close to the cooking area. 3. Fridge did nor work properly. 4. Air conditioning very noisy and difficult to regulate. 5. Little terrace very dirty. 6. Not enough hangers. 7. TV remote control did not work well. 8. Parking outreageously expensive. 9. Very small pool. 10. One day housekeeping came at 3 pm! 11. Very poor decor in the restaurant and terrace. 12. Very poor menu, very bad food. 12. All 7 daily rates debited to my AMEX 2 days before my arrival.
the friendly and helpful personell the restaurant part and the pool dont come up to expectations for a hotel at the self named "Riviera of Miami"
Hotel is in great location, right on beach. Rooms can be slightly jaded, but nothing serious. Bathroom excellent with good toiletries, and all rooms have at least coffee makers/fridge/microwave and also access to free washer/dryer facility.Stayed on 27th floor room with spectacular side ocean/bay/city views. Do not need a car as bus stops outside every 20 mins or so to take to South Beach/Downtown or Aventura Mall. Several restaurants within a few minutes walk, and recommend Timo's Italian (just past Denny's). Overall a second great stay at this quiet beach hotel. Doubletree sent a welcome email a week before the stay, which unfortunately was incorrect (had only reserved for 2 nights instead of 3) This was eventually sorted by booking.com, and our arrival at the hotel went without a hitch. If you get an email from the hotel just make sure it is correct.
I particularly liked the spacious suite, the unobtrusive atmosphere and the proximity to the beach
Excellent location o the beach
Nice staff, good breakfast and location (right by the beach). I sometimes stay at the Travelodge and this one was really disappointing compared to the others. TV not working; water leaking in the bathroom; no possibility to shut down the AC (ended up catching a cold); cleanliness of the room could be better.
Needs be torn down Great location.
The fact that it is beachside is a plus but you can't get to the beach unless you walk outside because the back door is blocked off It needs updating, everything feels nasty, paper thin walls! We asked to be put in another room because of people next to us smoking marijuana and wrestling and they said it was all booked but we saw thru windows where it wasn't. On the other side of us was a smoker who was coughing the entire night! And then we pay $12 extra for parking. Will never stay here again. It's much more I could say but I think that's enough
Right on a beach very old
Absolutely nothing. No air conditioning, ino ice, desk personnel Registered in two adjacent rooms, 239 and 240. Total 4 adults and one 2 year child. Air conditioning useless. No ice in ice machine. Water leaking at base of toilet. Solution was spread towels on floor until the proper wrench could be found on next day. After additional compaining, relocated to different room with fair air conditioning (room 259). Due to heat in second room, all 5 guests moved to the relocated room. Result 5 guests in one room and paid for 2 rooms. Relocated room, 259, had exposed and loose electrical outlet. High risk for 2 year old. Music played past 4:00 a.m. in adjacent guest room.
I liked the location, right on the beach. I did not like that they keep laying on fees in addition to what I paid online. i.e. a resort fee and a parking fee.
