The bed and pillows.. The shower was great The room had a horrible mole smell.. The AC was not strong enough.. The blankets were too small for the bed.. The ad said wifi was free asked the front desk for the password and it never connected.. Wifi did not work... Crazy white trash people stay there.. Smelled like someone was smoking marijuana outside my door.. It was scary place.. This place will be my last resort.
Well kept room Terrible wi-fi and 17USD / day upgrade is utterly ridiculous
The hotel was in a great location, near the Gaslamp quarter, friendly staff, and could sit outside and have a great view of the water. When we checked in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a bay view for $20. However, when we checked out we were actually charged $30/night for a total of $60 (so $40 more than we were expecting). The view wasn't that great, but wasn't terrible. It was almost a $600 stay (with the upgrade) and it may seem silly, but we were on a super strict budget so $40 more actually was a challenge for us. Also, the room only went down to 65 degrees and our room was quite warm so that did make sleeping a challenge. Overall, a pretty decent experience but disappointed that the hotel itself overcharged.
Excellent location All charges are extra Parking extra Water extra in room
Loved the comfort of the hotel and the location Nothing
Price point and location We got a handicap room and I'm a Hilton member. No love there and it was my anniversary no love there!
The hotel was nice Hotel was expensive
Location and views Paying $35 a day to parking
Great location. And close to restaurants
Location is great. The view from our room was beautiful. Comfy and clean room. Too expensive. $35-$50 for parking. 18% gratuity upcharge for everything along with all their fees. No fridge in room. Ac didn't work well.
Clean Horrible View
Location Given room with bad view. When others were available with good view.
Great location, rooms are spacious, lobby and building are beautiful. 5 minute walk from Gaslamp, 5 minute drive from Seaport Village and close to everything else. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.
The hotel was extremely well decorated and cleanly for a chain. They have "clean remotes" in the rooms that are specially designed to be easier to clean to prevent bacteria and spreading germs. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. We enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant across the street, Goodies, which we got a 20% off coupon for from the front desk when we checked in. It is in a great location (10 minutes from both the San Diego Zoo and the Gaslamp Quarter). The parking lot is huge to accommodate all guests. We all around loved it and will be using it as our go to hotel when staying in San Diego again. The ONLY suggestion I would make at all is for softer comforters. The king size bed was soft and comfortable, but the comforters design made them scratchy and irritating.
Just returned from a week long vacation in San Diego. A friend suggested we stay at the Marina Gateway Hotel. Best tip yet...the staff was friendly, the rooms were very clean, and all of the amenities were in good working order. Only drawback was no continental breakfast in the morning, but there was a nice restaurant across the parking lot. I would suggest this hotel to anyone:)
Staff was very helpful and professional. Bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Water pressure in shower wasn't high enough other than that everything was good.
I liked the room. It was clean and relaxing. I don't know why I had to pay extra $30 and house keeping didn't clean our room.
The staff was very helpful and David the shuttle driver was excellent! It was clean and close to the transportation in to downtown San Diego. The bath room needed a fan as it got very foggy when taking a shower!
Loved the cleanliness and acces to freeway, lounge, bar, parking availability, and restaurants near by. Music from lounge across hotel was too loud. Difficult to sleep early evening. Nonetheless, great place.
This hotel is very clean and workers were very friendly and helpful! Just wish they have a restaurant inside.
Check in service was great they were attentive and supper nice :) room was very well put together and clean I was very pleased with my stay When I went on google to find the actual phone number to the store it was the hardest thing to find best western doesn't offer the individual phone number to the actual location only an 800 # which is fine but the guy who helped me over the phone really ended being no help at all after all I wanted was to see if I could Check in early
Close to everything U want to do in sd Nothing
The location is best and spaces in the hotel is confortabla. The staff my registreicion is verry bat the person in the frot desck is despotic and stupid very bat experenccie
The price was good and the hotel was nice. Per the Hotel, none of my specific requests made it to them. I was part of a large group heading to Baja to ride off road motorcycles. I was splitting the room and had booked a double and requested it to be on the first floor near the parking lot, as we needed to bring bulky gear into the room at night and I wanted to be near the trailer filled with motorcycles. When I arrived a single was booked on the fourth floor. I was able to get what I needed but not without a bit of stress and a bit of attitude from the front desk. He said "The only request we got from your on-line company was that you needed a room." It all worked out in the end.
Loved the price we got through kayak! This hotel felt like one of the expensive all inclusives. Location was get, easy on and off of the highway, short drive to all attractions! Restaurant on the property was expensive, very poor service and had live music that was TOO loud.
The rooms were big and the decor was very nice. The staff were great and the location was perfect for visiting San Diego. The charge for parking is too high. We parked on nearby streets for a tenth of the cost.
Great bed Could hear doors closing and thin walla
The staff was friendly and courteous. The entire stay was pleasant and we were well taken care of as guests.
Elegant and plush surroundings, very comfortable bed, room was lovely with great amenities even though I had a single room. Great power breakfast meal!
The hotel is a historic landmark located near the Gaslamp district in downtown San Diego. The location is great for shopping, site seeing, and night life. The staff of the hotel was superb! A fantastic back drop for a romantic getaway.
Location Beds were terrible and room was small
The room was great and service was excellent. Very noisy on the 4th floor exterior room all night long on a weekend.. I requested a room with a view and got a view of the rundown buildingf to peo next to us and listene.
It was a wonderful expeeience from the moment we walk in to the time we left. It's a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. The Spa Suite was a little plain in appearance for a luxury hotel but the therapist was excellent.
We always enjoy staying at the US Grant. The staff is friendly the restaurant and bar are wonderful the location is perfect. The rooms are nice the beds are comfortable. The pillows and I would ask not to stay facing fourth Street again.
Cool vibe. Great room and decor. Easy check in.
I liked that everything looks newly renovated, new paint, carpet, tv, beddings, everything. You got everythinng you need like micorwave and even an iron and ironing board. Also everywhere is clean. Front desk is friendly not like the one next door, the Rodeway Inn please don't go there. The location too is great. I will stay here again and again. Thank you! I saw one small insect crawling in the bathroom but looks harmless and still i love the place.
It was centraly located with a lot of facilities.
Location was only a few minutes from downtown for less than half the price. Easy access to get on the interstate. Property was old/rundown, badly needs upgrades. The room and area were adequate, but nothing special.
Location is amazing!! Very clean! Nice staff Didnt end up getting a room with two beds like I had reserved because I booked through a third party.
Convenient location, friendly staff. Super corporate, fixtures seemed old, rooms poorly ventilated.
The hotel was lovely and the concierge was super helpful in finding me a place to get a relaxing mani-pedi.
Hotel was excellent location. From the minute we drove up to valet to checking in and out, customer service was great. Right in the main location of downtown gaslamp, next to Petco park which we were there for the All Star game. Had an amazing time. Would definitely stay here again. Customer service, location and hotel. Room was comfortable.
Loved the room and location At check in, the young man at the front desk seemed a little condescending and rude.
Room per night was cheap 120... plus tax... I was there for comic con...it's a hotel it's not a 4 star hotel though...maybe for location but the amenities are very basic and the guy there was rude at the front desk.
Very expensive parking
Very good location for the Gaslamp Quarter Didn't know that it was Valet Parking only at $47 per night. With this charge added to the room charge per night, I don't think I'd stay here again.
Room was nice and clean. The view was great. Location was great, located is in the middle of gas lamp and the convention center to take the ferry to Coronado. No self parking garage. Valet only at $47 a night.
Staff was exceptionally nice & friendly. Room was perfect, clean & comfortable. Location was amazing, close to everything, but not too close, so noise was never an issue. Would be nice to have a larger bar that offered tap beer
They gave my Wrong room
Two-minute walk to the exhibit halls and lots of shops and restaurants just outside the hotel doors. Central location for site-seeing as well.
Location was great for our purposes. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and had facilities which often are not available or cost a lot more.
next to the highway, very loud, far away from the city center
it's a good motel, just check the area before you book it.
Nothing The room we stayed in was full of bugs. I have got more than 10 bites all over my boday. Won't stay this hotel any more.
Perfect location for Gas Lamp bars and food.

Very modern hotel, friendly staff and great location to many shops and restaurants Bed wasn't very comfy
The staff. The staff were beyond curteous and very welcoming. Made our stay a very pleasant one and will definitely be visiting Kimpton Hotels in the future because of them.
Awesome location for Halloween celebrations!! Had so much fun! Lots of places to go within walking distance. Didn't have to leave the hotel except that we wanted to people watch. The costumes were amazing! Can't beat the Gaslamp for Halloween!
Room was dirty
Great location and very nice staff (did a lot extra due to it being my GF's Bday). No
The lacation was fantastic.
Near the convention center and very comfortable. No complaints
Great location just seconds away from Petco in the Gaslamp The lobby lounge area was dirty Carpets look old with stains Morning coffee was a treat but only if you got there before it was a mess
This hotel is very chic and modern loved everything about it!

Facilities were very well kept. Room was very nice, and looked out over the Bay Area. Great location to GasLamp Quarter, restaurants, and connects to Petco Park. Great proximity to the convention center. Staff was accommodating. Concierge and valet staff were very knowledgeable on good places to eat/see in San Diego and other surrounding vicinities such as La Jolla, Coronado, etc. Also, got a little discount on zoo tickets by purchasing them at the hotel. Valet parking is a little steep. They charge $40.00/day. I agree they should charge for the service as its quicker and easier for someone to park your car and bring it to you, but $40.00/day is a little high. On the upside, you can use it as much as you want.
Solid hotel as always Front desk clerk who checked us in was not professional and quite curt. Train your staff for those who travel far distances who deserve a little common courteously, will you?
I love everything about this hotel! From the location, the rooms, the staff, the bar and restaurant, to the new friends I made.
Its was clean staff was amazing I have nothing that we didn't like
friendly staff, very clean rooms, beautiful view, accessible inconvenient parking fees for valet, no fridge in rooms, pricey
Staff was very courteous, rooms were clean and well stocked, beds were comfortable and had clean sheets. Clise to bars and restaurants. Overall very comfortable. Location is a bit far from the beach
Very friendly and helpful employees everywhere! Need better nacho chips
The room was clean and well laid out. The bed was comfortable, and the windows was nice and big. The bathroom stayed humid/moist for a long while after taking a shower.
Staff were very nice. Clean hotel. Very accommodating I got charged $42 fot valet parking. Valet parking should be free. You are already spending money in staying in that hotel why wouldn't the valet parking be included?? That's one thing I was Not happy about.
Loved the location, bed, look and feel of the room, and the staff. I stayed in a water facing room with a (sort of) balcony on the 20th floor. It was a tremendous view I had a fantastic time. Couldn't possibly be closer to gas lamp district The room was a bit small and unequipted for the price per night. No microwave or refrigerator unless you call and ask for one to be sent up which was a bit tedious. Overall only complaint I could have
it's a great location. Easy access to any part of sd. Our neighbors were partying until 4 am despite complaints. Hotel did not do anything about it.
The room and bed return my depositl Return of deposit
Great bar and dining staff! Parking is not ideal and excessive costs!
The moment you walk in it smells so amazing like really clean and has a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and everything is so nice and modern. The room was a perfect amount of space for 4 and it had everything stocked. Parking is in a garage right next to the building and you feel very comfortable and safe. Will definitely be returning soon! :)
My boyfriend and I loved everything! The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious enough, the room service food was delicious. The internet never gave us any trouble. The pool was salt-water instead or chlorine and was a very comfortable temperature. The service from the employees was spot on, as well. We kept interacting with the same man at the front desk, and he was extremely helpful. The one thing that I didn't like was the hot tub: the water was just a smidge too hot for my comfort, BUT I was able to adjust to it after a few minutes. That's more of a personal preference kind of thing, I know plenty of people probably like a hot tub to be exactly that temperature or even hotter, so it's not really a complaint.
Staff was very nice, welcoming and helpful. Location is great, in the center of mission valley. There was a bug in our room but they sent someone to clean our room while we were gone. They asked kids to leave pool area at 11pm but let us stay a bit longer which was nice since kids were a bit loud. Comfortable bed. A bug in our room. Parking = $$$.
the location no refregation on the room and save box
The staff was plesant, helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to near by shops and only a short taxi ride to downtown or attractions. The hotel is all that you would expect from the Hilton group with luxury appiontments and quiet comfortable rooms. My wife and enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer. A limited courtesy bus being available would have been appreciated.
Very close to where we went ( Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park). Nice mall nearby. We couldn't figure out how to undo the bathtub drain but someone came by right away to help us out.
I love the location! There are many shopping centers near by and everything else is pretty close as well. The hotel was also very nice and had a nice staff. I didn't lik that the housekeeper kept knocking and knocking at 8 am trying to clean our room when we were sleeping.
Conviently located and though it iis next to hwy our room was quiet, beds amazingly comfortable from the bedding to the mattress. The hotel staff in all.areas ie registration, restaurant, service help were all friendly and helpful. The hotel amenities such as pool and gym are also very clean.
I felt comfortable, secure and very quiet to rest with a nice view. Location is very convenient for different purposes. I liked all
Under construction. Noise is unacceptable. Parking is a mess.
Room was very clean, complimentary breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are very quiet, the hotel is back from the street so you do not hear street traffic noise. The pool and hot tub were both small and somewhat disappointing. The weater was cool so we didn't use too much.
Bed was great...firm mattress, and room was clean. Check-in could be a bit improved. Slow, distracted employee.
the staff was very helpfull and very friendly,we got great advice and directions, what to see in San Diego. The room very nice big and clean ,so was the entire hotel. The hotel is close to the freeway and close to restaurants and the city judging by the pics on the webside we expected the Pool some how more in a back jard setting and the hotel property much larger,Garden Like. However it would not stop me from coming back again.
The room was very clean and well designed. The bed was just right soft. Pet friendly hotel. The staff was very friendly. Room needs a fan to move the air because the a/c stops at around 69 degrees.
The room and view we're great. Very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, I took pictures of the label to buy the same mattress for my self. The valet parking Was over priced at $41/day. Especially since there is a garage 3 blocks away that is only $15/per day but I had a broken ankle and had to use their valet parking. Most of the time had to wait over 20 min one day they misplaced my car after about 45 min had to go with the valet to find my car in the garage. To the hotel's credit they were very apologetic and comped my valet parking fee for my entire stay so they still have good customer service in my book.
It was a beautiful, well managed and well located hotel I did not like that when I booked it said parking was an amenity. That made it seem like it was included. It would have been helpful to know that it only offered valet parking that is $41/night. That was a big shock when we arrived and a bit upsetting it was not mentioned before we booked
pretty clean place, very good location, very good value for a money. Valet scratched a bumper on my car, they took responsibility for it right a way, absolutely no questions asked. They had their report when checked in, all paperwork ready, and handled the accident in a best way. Offered as a 4 star hotel. IT IS NOT A 4 STAR IT IS A 3 STAR!!! Does not have a pool or a Jacuzzi. Asked for a housekeeping twice, room was never cleaned up, called for a 3rd time, they said "crew has gone home" but we can send you some towels... . That's when I expected to stay in a 4 stare hotel. Valet took 30 min to bring a car. Bumper got scratched.
Proximity to downtown SD. No pool, no airport shuttle.
The hotel was clean and modern, what I would expect from a down town hotel. There was advertised parking but it was valet and an extra 40+$. Nothing extravagant, aveda products, ample space, modern touches, restaurant and bar on site. In gaslamp quarter perfect for walking any where. Every thing was clean No parking, they have valet. It's 40+$. Views of other buildings, down town standard. Thermostat didn't bother me, but was a bit warm for my partner.
Very dog friendly, friendly professional staff, comfortable spacious room
I paid 42$ for valet because i didn't want to walk the 2 blocks away for self parking that cost 30$. It isn't the amount that bothered me the valet scratched my brand new 2016 highlander. None of the valets fessed up and I didn't notice until after i checked out and drove off.
It was quiet and close enough to walk to the trolley and other activities in the gaslamp area. Liked the security of the elevator requiring the key card to go up to the room. Staff was friendly. Parking is too expensive so we didn't feel like we could afford to rent one to get around. The restaurant coffee was too expensive. More than Starbucks.
Clean, great location, nice room and a modern feel. Valet is 41 bucks... Give me a break. Parked a block away for $15
Beautiful room (upgrade) Great location Friendly and helpful staff Excellent upkeep Parking is high... better to use taxi/uber
I love the location! The view was pretty good. Loved the room. I'm a huge fan of Aveda products and for them to have them there, was a huge plus! The friendly staff was great. Always greeting and always smiling. And the price was good. Great place to stay. Not a big fan of $40 valet parking. I didn't like that they didn't offer smoking rooms. Also, I didn't like that you couldn't vape up stairs at their rooftop bar. Why we left to another roof top bar that did allow vaping. That was kind of a bummer.
Roof top bar is a lot of fun No swimming pool
the front desk was very accomodating to any questions or requests we had
Really liked the Hotel. The location was great. Service was excelent. We will stay there again.
it right by Petco Park, you can see the baseball game from our room no pool or hot tub, parking was incredibly high $32
The location is great, right in the Gaslamp Quarter. Everything is walking distance. They charge for US$30.00 for an overnight valet parking. There is no other possibility to park anywhere nearby. I think 30 dollars is a lot for it,. or they should include this in the hotel room rate so the guests will not feel that they need to pay some more extras.
Everything was very clean, tidy and the staff made you feel at home. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The night time hours were quite noisy due to guests in rooms close by coming and going around midnight/1am.
Again the staff was excellent, from the valet guy to the maids, they all go beyond there line of duty. The room I stayed looked like one of the older ones that hasn't been updated, the beds were worn and very lumpy, the shower did not work properly.
Early check-in, option to add microwave, fridge and a crib, friendly staff and fast service. $15 self parking per night right across the street. Small restaurant, no swimming pool or a gym.
convenience to Petco Park, Seaport Village, & the Midway carrier lack of free parking
Great location walking distance to food and bars/clubs. Rooftop bar was good but overpriced drinks The beds were really small
Nice Location High price
Stop charging resort fees. Include microwave and minifridge in each room.
Tech /music accesbility. Hospitality. Clubs, bars, and restaurant in the building Price for parking
Location was great. Right at the start of the Gaslamp District. Walking distance to many great restaurants and bars. Close to the baseball stadium. Staff was friendly and offered good suggestions for dinner. Gym was nice. Arrived on the day of a baseball game. Road closures made it difficult to get to the valet drop off point. Valet only. Cannot park your own car. Wish the hotel room was more clean. Lots of items in the room (i.e. Snacks and items for purchase) that hadn't been swapped out in a long time. For a 4 star hotel I expected a little more. Room needed a refresh - signs of wear and tear.
Location was fantastic, the room was completely adequate for what I needed and the fact that I could stay on the 4th floor and not hear the rooftop club was amazing! I didn't eat at either restaurants because they looked expensive enough that I didn't want to bother as there were hundreds of great restaurants within a 2 minute walk from the hotel. I love the Starbucks in the building and your staff was outstanding. I'll have to check but if I got charged $50 for the "All Access Pass" I will be disappointed because I didn't use it. I know that you are catering to the 21-40 demographic so I would have thought that you would have had restaurants set up for that group, as opposed to a high end sushi restaurant that looked empty most of the times that I walked by. Food and drink is where your bread and butter profit is so why not entice people in with better, less expensive restaurants?
Location is excellent - in the heart of Gaslamp Quarter, actually right next to the Gaslamp sign. Pretty good view depending on where the room is located. Direct exits to 5th Ave, 6th Ave, and L St is a nice added convenience. Studio King room was great - clean, modern decor, comfortable bedding, great bathroom with rainfall and standard shower head, iPhone 5+ dock, good channel selection on TV. Lobby and surrounding have nice, clean, modern decor. After housekeeping, we found that the original iPhone dock we were provided was switched for a different model. The original one was better for us, as we could directly mount the phone for charging without a cable needed. The newer model required a cable, which we didn't have. Called the desk and they didn't know why it was switched, and said they'd follow up to resolve the issue... they never did. Overall, staff is not the most helpful.
The bed was very comfortable and my view was amazing! One of my towels was dirty upon arrival.
Fine hotel Was charged for a king suite and received a regular room. Haven't received the credit yet.
Great location, great staff, clean, funky and fun. Rooms are small and water pressure sucks.
Mattresses are too soft
The room decor and layout was very modern and had a nice feel to it.The staff was very friendly and nothing but helpful when needed. Couldn't have asked for better service. The mattress was a bit too soft for my liking. Also the walk in shower looked great and the dual shower heads were nice but it caused large amounts of water to pool up where you're supposed to dry off
I loved the whole experience! Friendly staff, helpful front desk and the rooms were SO beautiful! We will definitely be coming back :) I didn't like how short my stay was...nothing you could do! When we had brunch, I feel as though we could have had faster service but other than that the food was yummy and the space was beautiful!
location was nice. Common areas beautiful. Staff helpful. Overall clean. In general, happy with our 1 night stay too celebrate anniversary Room on the small side, which was ok for our short stay, but not if you've got plenty of luggage. Some minor details could use touch ups (e.g., bottom corner of doors in bathroom chipped). Not sound proof.
Really great location. We went for a date night and were close to great restaurants, nightlife and the mall. Really loved the Victorian feel Tiny room! No fridge in the room (sad to not store our dinner left overs)
You guys cancelled my reservation for a conference....... You guys cancelled my reservation for a conference....... :(
The hotel definitely had a lot of charm. It was nice and clean. A lot details throughout to notice. It had a New Olrleans-esque courtyard that was really nice. Room was a bit smaller than expected. I didn't like that there was no place in the hotel to heat up any food.
Nice ambiance. Restaurant was great. Front desk service was very friendly. Being near the convention center it was a bit noisy and rooms that face the center courtyard are subject to echo of conversation late at night.
The location was fantastic, right in the middle of downtown. Walking distance from nearly everything. The price was significantly better than other much pricier hotels in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The fireplace in the room didn't really work. The maintenance guy came to the room, but couldn't figure out how to fix it. Not a huge deal, but a bit disappointing. The ceiling above us was creaky... every time the people in the room above would move around the ceiling would creak and squeak. It was annoying, but otherwise the room was quiet.
Charming hotel with unique "old times" style with newer modern amenities. Their balcony rooms are beautiful and the beds are amazingly comfortable. Great location for gaslamp!
Room nicely appointed and bed extremely comfortable The valet needs to bring his coffee with him at 7am or drink before he leaves home. I had to rustle him up to make an 8am appointment.
I liked the location, the decor, the patio dining, food, staff, price. Nothing.
The whole experience was great. The room was perfect for the 2 of us and the gas fireplace was wonderful. We had a great view as well. The downstairs courtyard was gorgeous and I wish we had taken advantage of it more. The location was ideak, walking distance from everything we wanted and needed to do. The staff was super friendly and the room service was great. i would just suggest bigger pillows :)
Clean, nice, and elegant hotel. Great location to Gaslamp District near bars and restaurants.
Great vibe. Beautiful Hotel. Great staff and service. Loved the rooftop pool. A little noisy. The room was on the 5th floor and there was a frequent rumbling sound coming from what sounded like above us. It made it difficult to sleep. I needed ear plugs.
I love the hotel. Rooms were big & well appointed. There were lots of complimentary options like water, juice, Keurig coffee & tea varieties, wine after 5pm, expresso & treats in lobby, shower, bed, pillows. Room service was terrible, my steak was super well done but lots of excellent restaurants near by.
very nice hotel, design, modern, great location in gaslamp quarter, internet free the room is a bit small
Great decor,rooms,location and staff.
The reception staff was very helpful.Good room with great bathtub.Very nice breakfast. I had to have a credit card to check in even though i had the full roomrent in cash. They wanted to block 2000 Dollars for a two night stay costing 460 Dollars. The manager was very helpful and we sorted the problem but its still shocking that you have to be in the possession of a credit card to being able to stay at any given hotel
Service, Service, Service!!! Perfect! Justin at the front desk was exceptionally helpful
The rooms are great and I specifically liked the bathroom accessoires (like shampoo, bath rope et cetera). On weekend-days, their nightclub on top has very, very loud music. I couldn't sleep because of it. They should tell you this in advance, for this price you expect a good night's sleep.
Top rate friendly staff. excellent accommodations. centrally located. the location, although centrally located was very urban and close to some what appeared to be homeless shelters. I didn't have any problems and it was fine, but I think awareness of surroundings would need to be stressed.
Bed was comfortable, good size room, clean, nice staff, great breakfast at restaurant, good drinks at night! Pool area was very cramped...people ended up just laying on towels on the cement...not enough umbrellas
The shower The fact that we had to pay 30 USD per day for parking our car. This should be part of the room for guest with reservation. 60USD is too much for simply keeping your car in the place you are staying!
Gym was ok... pool rooftop wad excellent. Location to convention center was excellent No drawers in room shower was terrible. ...Just a wand...no nozzle above
The decor was very modern Staff was rude, the room was very small. Pool was closed for a wedding on Saturday, they told us we could walk six blocks to their sister hotel to swim, not interested. Wedding party was loud, disruptive. When we spoke to the manager to express our concern his response was "NO, the noise is not coming from the wedding party on the 4th floor." We called Kempton Hotels to express our concern, they said a manager would call us back. We did not ever receive a call back. We will not be staying at a Kempton Hotel in the future
Location and staff bed uncomfortable, shower rain head, video/TV system slow/
Staff was very friendly Overpriced for what I received.
Best hotel staff I have interacted with in a while. Very very helpful and easy to work with . Justin was awesome! Also enjoyed: the Apartment style hominess was comforting and the boutique style added some flare. Nice that pool was heated, cable TV, good location for downtown. I would visit again. Not-so-Hot: the shower got too hot, or too cold.... Room was very small and not laid out in a way to take advantage of best space possible. Pool was so small and NO JACUZZI. And no views.... No docking station for iPhone 5 or USB outlets
Comfy beds Clean rooms Pool area is nice Fairly modern Unexpected construction noise from the hotel that started before 7am. Very strange bathroom door Inconsistent level of service and friendliness raging from super friendly and nice to border-line rude Expensive parking
The location to Gas Lamp District was perfect! The cost of overnight parking.....
Comfortable rooms and beds. Super friendly staff.
Everything offered and available to guests. The rooms are small, but beautiful Size of room for price paid
Many user experience design issues. Rain shower is hard to wash hair in, no ability to angle it at all. No tub and nothing to prop up for to shave legs. No door on shower. Door on bathroom was not a real door and didn't close all the way. Awkward! Certainly not romantic!! Not enough hooks to hang towels. Not enough towels, only gave us 3 for two people. Hairdryer was super cheap, would expect at least a normal one if not a nice one. Nowhere to plug in anything at the desk. Front desk staff seemed very forced/rushed.
The atmosphere was upscale and classy, felt great staying at a great hotel. Room service was a little steep (typical...) but the food was delicious - the staff recommended some foods that were spot on. Room decor was great, modern and classy. Hardwood floors made it feel a little upscale. The bathroom is just a total mess. Shower head position is too low for anyone 5'5" or taller - requiring you to use the head manually (why???). Bathroom door is a sliding door but doesn't exactly provide too much privacy since you can see through the cracks - perfect angle if you want to watch your friend on the toilet... Iron was awful - took way too long and was just cheap overall or needed replacing. Cleanliness was awkward - arrived at the hotel (6pm) and was told our room needs to be cleaned. We arrived in the room, saw the hardwood floors were soaking wet (slipping lawsuit anyone?) and found residual items from the previous guests. Would be nice to upgrade those 2003 radios to the new iphone 5 or usb players...
Had booked a skyline room and upon arrival front desk told us they had overbooked and put us in a huge skyline suite. Courteous staff, awesome room with a great view and walking distance to all the nightlife in gas lamp. Will be coming back soon
Great help with the dog! We had a great time!
