Really enjoyed my stay. While not traditional room service, the food at Urban Farmer was amazing.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Old king bed with two craters on either side and a mountain in the middle. Sparse king suite room missing some typical and expected details such as a bag for ice bucket, a second robe, or a second cutlery set from room service. The staff was nice and accommodating, but we just stopped calling the front desk after the 2nd call. Also the vanity area of the bathroom was awkwardly massive - perhaps 12'x24'. It contained a single sink, and a separate make-up vanity (without a stool). The toilet and shower (no tub) were located through a separate door to the standard, camped hotel bathroom. Weird prioritize took of space, that made the suite feel awkward.
Great location, nice rooms, wonderful showers, and the staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant was decent at best. It seems like it should be an attraction but is merely just a side note with interesting decorations. And they also charge $60 a night for parking at a hotel you are already paying to stay in. That was almost half of what I paid for the room. It's not NY or DC and shouldn't cost $60 to park. Ever. Anywhere.
The comfort of the bed. It just felt old, out of date, old school, stuffy. I was also surprised that the only amenity for such an expensive hotel was a tiny little cup of coffee, self-served in the foyer. You had to pay for everything, even WiFi access.
The staff was absolutely amazing. Every interaction was welcoming and friendly as if every single person there had a mission to make my stay the best it could be. The food was outstanding also. We were pampered!
The Good: Very luxurious rooms. Friendly staff. Really good food on site at the Urban Kitchen. Location was prime to get to all the museums and city center. The Bad: 2+ hours delayed check in time. Compensation was essentially a drink at the bar. This happened to many people around us. When we finally got to our rooms, there were NO towels!!! For the price we paid and the star value of this hotel, I was very disappointed.
Food at Urban Farmer was fabulous. Quite a delight. Rooftop bar was excellent - beautiful view. Room smelled like smoke. First staff person apologized and offered no other solutions. Second call the staff person offered an ozone machine to clean the air. He never showed up. I called two hours later after dinner and they said they couldn't bring the ozone machine to the room, stating that the machine couldn't be in use when the guest was in the room. Disappointed in response and knowledge of staff.
The Best Leaving
Wife and I had a great time here. The location, staff and food is excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for adults. With Kayak's website I got a great deal, thank you. Age is catching up with this hotel, hall carpets, moulding need to be changed and the bathrooms should be modernized. I rate this hotel at 4.3 stars.
The location The customer service from employees was horrible when I went up for breakfast. Was going to be my first time staying at this hotel. After I found out they don't do COOK TO ORDER BREAKFAST like most embassy's and my room wasn't ready when I checked in as promised and the employees weren't friendly. I decided to take my business somewhere else.
Management is terrible and has no heart. It's all about policy. They refused to cancel my room and credit me the day of my intended arrival even though I had a medical emergency and couldn't make the trip. I will never stay here again and hope you do the same.
Convenient location for City travels. Appears to be reasonably clean. Good value for the expense. The hotel is dated and well used.
Room door did not lock caught it on the way out on a Saturday nite. Waited over an hour for maintenance. Had to move to "the only room left" which was not a king bed (two doubles) and did not have a refrigerator. Really ruined the evening as we were not able to leave the hotel until midnight when we were planning to leave at 10:30. Got a new room the next day and the toilet did not work. Maintenance was there in a few minutes. Very disappointing experience. Front desk comped parking but then put it on my bill so I had to fight at the desk at check out to get parking comped.
Recently I had my wallet stolen with my credit cards so I made the reservation with a relative's credit card, so when I checked in the ask for the credit card and obviously I didn't have it and the lady receptionist would not take other type of payment, so I lost the reservation and the money and ended up paying for a Holiday Inn which did accepted cash. Very bad hotel don't stay here.

We love staying at Embassy Suites with our two kids (6 and 8 years old). The separate space is terrific for letting them go to sleep before us. The included buffet breakfast makes mornings easier too. The physical property is very dated ... only one of the three elevators was working as we went to check out at 9:30 AM, so we walked down 18 flights of stairs. I feel really badly for the cleaning staff who are competing for space on the elevator in order to turn over rooms! That said, every single person we interacted with had five star customer service and a great attitude. For the price, I'd definitely stay here again, but there's nothing luxurious about it!
The staff was great and very helpful. Our room was nice, very comfortable and clean. We liked the location as it was walking distance to some museums and also a Starbucks! Snacks in the early evening and free breakfast was a nice extra. I would definitely stay again at this Embassy Suites. My stay would have been excellent had it not been for the very long wait we experienced with parking. We were aware that it would take about 30 minutes from the time we called the parking attendant to have our car ready for us at the front. We called right after we finished our breakfast, went to our room to gather our things and check out. Once we checked out we waited in the lobby for our car to be brought around about an hour. We finally asked and were told that the desk had not told an attendant to get our car ready. They got right on it but we ended up waiting about another 25 minutes for our car, making us late to our outing. Had it not been for this issue I would rate our experience as excellent.
