This hotel is fully meet 4* star requirements. Very comfortable, clean, good restaurant, very clean pools. Most of personnel doesn't speak English. There was not enough parking placesnear the hotel.
The quiet and tranquility no
New and nice designed hotel, good location in Sancti Petri, Junior suite are perfect for family purpose. Lovely pool and vicinity. Beach within walking distance (5 minutes) Choice and range of product offered for Lunch and Dinner should be improved.
Not much, only the hotel staff: nice and efficient. A lot but above all its value for money: 300 euros per night for a hotel where, for example, simply there was not sufficient parking space!!
We played golf, and used the restaurants in the courtyard at Novo Sancti. Went to the fabulous beach. No
Played Golf Hotel had very low occupancy when we stayed there. Moved on to Hitel next door because music in bar each night
The Kindness of all the Staff...The location of the Hotel
It was all cool in this hotel: comfort conditions. It was all the way you said it would be! Only to advance in skill in hotels staff
An absolutely excellent breakfast!
The pool area was very nice and relaxing, with very easy access to the beach with its own sun beds and umbrellas The A/C in the gym was not working, so it was very hot and neither did the hair dryer in the room work
Extremly windy place.
Nice staff, good location,m large rooms and good bed Hotel is abit faded glory and does not deserve the 5-stars grand luxe label. Many details are missing, and at the price we paid, it was not value for money.
During the stay over 5 days the staff, service, basically all hotel arrangments were just excellent. Even though it si not a new hotel, the quality of 5* can be felt all over. great staff fromthe reception to the pool area. Excellent food. Fantastic room service. a place to come back to. Cannot think of even one...
The staff is great always helpful. The food at Alhambra restaurant is very good. The room was always cleaned on time. The Alhambra only had 11 tables. Other restaurant was only buffet and the third was bad and closed for the evenings. The tapas bar should have more options.
we had a very nice sea view no very enjoyabale stay
Everything was absolutely perfect: very clean, delicious food and very friendly staff. We were there from 24/3/08 until 31/3/08 -> it was awesome. We also went to the MotoGP-race @ Jerez, which is only a 45 min. ride -> great holiday!
For a large hotel-and I generally don't like large hotels-all systems worked with precision. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the location of the hotel with less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel to the beautiful barrosa beach was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel. No!
Very welcoming and informative from moment of arrival. No language problems. Very suited to families but equally suited for a quiet break which we were looking forward to as no noise disturbance even though hotel quite full. Food excellent with plenty of variety and fresh produce - good value for money.
Staff very efficient and friendly The guests - my wallet and mobile telephone were stolen at poolside
relaxing atmosphere, closesness to beach, excellent buffet
Food buffet was excellent every evening, something for everyone. Very peaceful surroundings. The staff were all very pleasant, but we found there was not enough of them in the bar areas - had to wait for drinks, could not get service on the outside terrace. Disappointed that the pool bar was not open later than 6.30 on warm sunny evenings in April.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the tremendous variety of food and entertainment. The lovely swimming pools. The disabled room did not have grab-handles in the bath to give more stability when showering.
fast service in the restaurant, animation, cleanliness SPA is rather old with limited treatment and service, strong kitchen smell in the room at breakfast and dinner time, few staff speaking English, slow and bad service in the bar (during animation program)
Tranquil setting, excellent food, very good pools, good access to beach, good picturesque grounds and attentive staff
he design of the hotel is very attractive and the bedrooms spacious and beautifully decorated. The pool is superb and there is very easy access to the beach, along which one can walk for miles. The food is superb and the staff extremely polite and helpful. There's a very relaxed and luxurious air about the place. It is a treat to have a free car park which is reasonably secure, although the parking spaces are quite narrow. We were glad to have a smallish car.
I enjoy my stay at the Iberostar Andalucia Playa... everything was excellent and I hope I can return soon. Thanks for the flower that I had received from one of your employed. GRACIAS
Great staff, incredibly friendly. Fantastic location, on the beach. Quiet area, great to relax. Lack of F&B offer
The best thing by far were the staff. Very friendly, helpful and courteous, they are your biggest asset We did not like the baby club closing as of the 1st September, ourselves and other families would have welcomed the service.
Great place to stay for sun holiday. Beach, golf, pool excellent. Staff so friendly and nice. Lovely touches such as serving sangria by the pool and before going into dinner. Night time entertainment is limited and poor
Absolutely nothing for kids to do - the park in the sister hotel was locked which seems a waste. The childrens pool was not in use and I felt the whole atmostphere has changed since our last visit two years ago - for the worse.
Nice location, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is new, clean and quite an impressive building, nice pool and access to good beach. Buffet food of generally high standard, although very large and impersonal eating area. Good undercover secure and free parking. Drinking and eating around pool not allowed, presumably for safety reasons but could have used plastic instead of glass. Detracted from being able to fully unwind and relax around the pool. More for family stays than intimate get-away.
Good food and accommodation Unfortunately due to the weather on the day previously, we were unable to use the outdoor as it was closed due to it being in need of cleaning.
Facilities were excellent
Swimming pool, quiet bungalows, a nice place for families with young children, a lot of structured activities for children The parking was rather chaotic.
good location, helpful staff
The kitchenette in my room was completely outfitted. I ate breakfast on the little patio outside my room each morning, and without having to buy anything to prepare it except the food. Apartamentos Tartessus Sancti Petri itself is unexceptional: There's nothing to dislike, but there's little to rave about either. The facilities are clean, the lobby is attractive, the staff is polite, the rooms are nicely-- if simply-- furnished....y punto. That said, you can't beat the price or the location. This hotel is ideal for a family or friend vacation, but not for someone looking to spend a weekend in the lap of luxury. If I visit Andalusia and the Jerez Horse Fair again next year, I'll probably stay in the same spot.
Appartments are furnished with microwave owen and dishwasher so i suppose it's best for long stays. We were there just for 1 night but kids and people seemed to have fun in the pool and public area of the residence. Quiet place. The big problem, as stated by others in previous reviews, is the smell in the bathroom that seems to be common of the whole area (and not necesarily related to the hotel); we had to let windows open for more than 1 hours after we got in and during the night to "airtight" the bath. I would have rated hotel staff much towards excellent but they only get a good rating because at check-in we got asked to pay in advance or give CC number.
very nice apartaments. very clean and Near the beach.
Good design, pleasant staff, clean and efficient, good facilities A bit understaffed in some areas
The most unique hotel really amazing worth seeing even if you weren't staying here. Really five star. Excellent breakfast great food Everything in the room is so high tech. Our curtains started opening and closing by themselves at 2:00 am. We shoul have asked for a little inservice on how to work all the controls.
The spacious areas at the pool and beautiful scenery In the evenings room service would take up to an hour for a tea and a coffee. More staff is needed. Also it's too big, I do not know where everything is after being 3 days there. La Zahara restaurant is way too expensive, it cost 150euros for 2 and we were both young people. Finally the way to go out to the beach was very long.
Comfortable, clean and pleasant surroundings Found nothing to complain about
The hotel gardens are wonderful. The staff helpful and cheerful. The food is excellent. Only the fact that I paid 53euros per night more than was necessary, and presumably that much more than most of the other guests.
Too much beton for my taste around the pool and terrace, too much city type hotel
Excellent pool facilities . The opening hours of the hotel bar we found could be extended at weekends.
Perfect setting, very friendly staff, good facilities, enjoyed spa treatments, cleanliness. The music in the communal areas (corridors) was too loud.
The customer services staff, Bachi, Maria and Monica were very good Rooms were noisy from the disco on the ground floor, the rooms were not up to standard with leaks in the bathroom shower reported but not fixed, the hotel food was not good value for money and very few staff could communicate in English
I liked the facilities, the friendly staff and the big selection of food at breakfast and lunch.
Close to the beach, close to the supermarket, nice personnel, well-equipped kitchen, big terrace. Breakfast was rather poor
Modern building and friendly staff Nothing!
Every member of staff was very welcoming. The apartments are compact but very clean and with an excellent terrace to relax in the evenings. Chiclana is an excellent place to visit beautiful beaches or cities such Jerez and Cadiz. Perfect stay. Hard to think on something constructive to comment, when something is right is just right. Maybe the television channels could improve with a bit more selection.
Nearness to beach We did not like our room it was damp and musty
Exelent location close to restaurants and beach, very clean modern rooms.Friendly staff. Good price! Świetny, nowoczesny hotel w b. dobrej cenie(40E za noc) B.dobra lokalizacja...blisko restauracji i plaży. Polecamy:) Tiny shower
great location close to the bars and restaurant but most of them were closed as it was at the end of the season
We enjoyed our stay at this aparthotel very much, exelent location close to restaurants and beach, very clean modern rooms, friendly helpful staff, would definatly go back.
With the swimming pool just outside the door and beach only 50m away the children loved it! Breakfast was 8 to 10.30am. We ate at 9am and the cooked food had sat there since 8am. There was no evening meal or pool side service since we were out of season.
It was very nice to stay 3 nights here. The famous La Barossa beach is 5 minutes walking. Friendly staff and not hard to find. Kitchen is good equiped, we have had breakfast in the room every morning. In the middle of the hotel is the swimming pool.
The apartment complex is beautifully designed, very clean and modern, with a lovely pool and restaurant. It is in an excellent location very close to the beach with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. The apartment itself was well-equipped and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke some English. The only things we missed in the apartment were a lock on the bathroom door and a mirror in the second bedroom.
Good hotel in the center of San Fernando. It is necessary take the car to go to the sea side in 5 minutes. The personal was vary polite.
Freebies Noisy & Small Room
staff in general very friendly, very good facilities, nice location... i called three times to try to get an extra bed and noone was able to give me an answer, they never contacted me back to confirm this even though i especifically asked to get in contact with me so that we could book an extra room somewhere else. There was an obvious lack of organization between the staff.
Clean, modern hotel. The fresh fruit and water in the corridors was an excellent touch, and highlights excellent customer service. Not enough information supplied about local area, bathrooms are a little adventurous with the glass walls, it was fine for us but may be a little disconcerting for friends or new couples!
We found it a peaceful hotel just away from the busy areas. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Allowing us to take our small dog was a bonus. We would recommend the hotel and will be going back in the near future a very small point but it would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room .
The staff were extremely helpful and generous, the room was lovely, air conditioning always worked, good powerful shower and the pool was lovely and refreshing whilst the sun loungers were nearly always empty! There is nothing to complain about.
Clean, good value, No problem with late check-in No- all good
Cheap price, ease of booking Not enough staff -1 for whole hotel! No maps. No customer service whatsoever. Had to wait outside for 15 minutes before anyone came to unlock the door on check in!! Rooms very simple and bare. Bathrooms nice, surprisingly.
Helpful and friendly attitude of staff. Twice at breakfast, ham and cheese was not replenished on plate.
Front desk people was very nice to us, due the booking reservation have not been received but they look for a room for us. This is not a 4 star hotel.
The pool area was vey clean and well kept. the bungalows were very basic accomodation and were not worth the money. Also the reception staff took money out of the wrong account two days into the holiday to pay for our accomodation without our consent. That upset us and put us off and we moved up to seville a few days later.
Access to Cadiz and local beaches. Pools were not open during our visit despite high temperatures and staff failed to control loud group of individuals who kept us up at night. My family did not feel secure.
Great Location. Very Good looking building and nice breakfast. Some of the facilities in the room were a bit dated. The shower seemed quite old and a little rusty in places.
Nice view and clean room.
Good location, good breakfast, free parking, internet in rooms (kind of) Poor maintenance, internet very spotty, very noisy - day and night. Poor air conditioning.
we arrived in the dark and the lights in our room did not work. They told us dinner was available until 10.30 but the restaurant was closed at 10 pm. The water was cold when we tried to have a bath at 6 pm on the Friday evening. It was hot the next morning.
Peace and quiet but close to everything The bathroom was not as well maintained as it could be and the water from the taps was orange in colour but this didnt spoil our stay.
Our third stay at this hotel in 4 years. Close to the Barrosa beach it is ideal for relaxation and is relatively close to such places as Cadiz for a night out. You have the choice of preparing food in your own apartment, eating in the hotel restaurant or in one of the nearby restaurants.
Excellent location. Car parking wasn't a problem as we culd easily use the public car park nearby. Restaurant and hotel staff very friendly and efficient.
Nice pool, nice and clean apartment away from sea, adaptet only for native guests, away from nightlive
The hotel was luckily situated very close to the beach (however we only visited the beach at the site once since there was a lot of wind the periode in question) and we chose other alternatives (of swimming). The surroundings were very nice. In spite of the fact that the area is only containing hotels and golf courses, a great architecture of the hotels have been chosen which makes it a nice area. The personnel was very friendly and the apartment was even better than I expected. We had the view over the swimmingpool which was beautiful. There was a small play ground in the hotel garden. The view of the swimmingpool was also sligthly negative since all people passed under our window on their way to and from the restaurant which made late evenings very noisy when keeping the window open. The beds were terribly unconfortable! The kitchen equipment should contain some more pieces. I also would have liked to see some more training/sport facilities. The hotel play ground could have been slightly bigger considering the space available and some parts of it could have been better adapted to the hands of children. Two local buses an hour, or one in the evening, passing the hotel, was not so good, I think, for persons who wish to see other places, so we had to rent a car which was, at least for me, un unexpected cost.
This was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Fantastic. Good Location, near to the beach, staff very good, friendly. Excellent value for money.
good pool, very friendly and helpful staff, close to beach and restaurants / facilities in Chiclana
The rooms were spacious and well furnished; the pool and surroundings were very nice and enjoyable. The breakfast was good and very complete. The beach is very nice and conveniently close to the hotel. The apartment could have just a little more equipment... just some minor cleaning utensils maybe. The parking near the hotel was not easy and the area for loading/unloading of bags or passengers was permanently occupied by cars parked.
The hostel is right on the beach. The home page offered rooms with balcony. We got a room opening from the back of the restaurant, bar and toilets (altough there is double door). The room was depressing, no balcony, and the window faced to cars parking right at the window. The wall has fallen in the room. Room is noisy when the restaurant is open. Breakfast is very simple (toast, butter, jam, coffee). Absolutely does not worth the price!
The service was really nice, near to the beach, and everything clean, park on the door is easy to hear the another people when you are in the room.
hotel was a late booking, and is perfect to be near to everything although a car is essential, large, clean, bright bedroom and bathroom, friendly family business, smoking was allowed in the cafeteria, even at breakfast.
Friendliness of staff. They also had a nice little cafe bar that did toast and spreads for a breakfast and were very reasonably priced. The TV was in the cafe bar and showed the usual live football. This was used by the locals so it must be reasonable. The TV in the rooms was all spanish and it would be good to have a few English channels of news and a film.
Staff very friendly and helpful, cleanliness and comfort was excellent, good value for money - nice outside area and cafe, would recommend... During peak hrs traffic was noticiable.
2km from the Playa de la Barrosa, near shops and bus route. Bike hire 50 metres down the road so easy to get to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff.
