Relaxed atmosphere, good location, quiet. Rooms could do with an update, decor and furnishings quite dated.
The young people on reception were wonderful & friendly and it did help that they spoke English. The cleaning ladies were very good too.Loved the location; would stay again. Value for money! The entertainment was really good. Especially the "Supremes". The Spa and some areas |& rooms would benefit from upgrading. Also should be strict guidelines about noise & ball playing round the swimming pool areas.I have stayed at all kinds of hotels all over the world and would say (inspite of the exchange rate) yours is good value for money. I think that is the key; offering good value.
Very good location. Helpful staff. I chose the hotel on the expectation that one of the outdoor pools would be heated for the children - it was not. Otherwise great trip.
the meals service from the workers in the reception and the restaurant
The facilities, the quality of the Hotel, the shows
I have stayed there on 3 previous occasions. The location is fantastic, you can walk to beach, restaurants etc. etc. This time, the food was not great. Steak and other meats served were usually tough cheaper cuts. We were half board.
pool and snack bar was good, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were fantastic at meal times very friendly to our 3yr old . main bar and reception could have been run better example when we arrived on tues at 7pm we were told are room was not ready because of a late check out , i have a 3 year old so you can only imagine my frustration of having to wait for 30 mins , but the flip side was i got a lovely room and i would go back. The coffee cups were small and pricey.
Close to the beach The dinner. The meal in the buffet was really very low quality.
Good location, nice garden, close to the beach "playa dorada", plentiful breakfast, very good value for money.
spacious room , price quality was great, upgrade possible I was offered an upgrade for 10 euros but they took too long to clean the room so I finally got another one too close to the pool, since they have activities from 10:30 to 23:30 there was a bit too much noise
Great quiet position, the spa, overall cleanliness. The spa didn't open until late (1030hrs) so no chance of doing anything down there before breakfast.
We found our stay very Relaxing and enjoyable. The staff where polite and courteous and would recommend this Hotel. We booked the Spa for the duration of our stay
No Russian & English TV channels, poor choice of food during breakfasts, no fresh juices
I loved the resort with wonderful design, seaview and beautiful areas both inside of the hotel and outside. Very good service
I like the fact that you can easily get a sunbed at the poolside, no towels on beds from early morning. Because the group is now NH, I was not allowed to use my Hesperia points from a previous visit to reduce my bill.
Location, views of the sea and the hotel facilities are second to none. The hotel location and facilities are second to none. However the whole five-star service element seems to be lacking from the staff working in the Hotel. You don't get the impression from that them that nothing is too much trouble.
very comfortable suites, large terrace, good breakfast, price corresponding to the quality, we were satisfie
The breakfast buffet was a favourite with all the family and the staff and facilities were excellent. The entertainment could have been a bit more exciting!
The peace and queit of the resort and the weather No
The whole place looked 5 star but the service did match up and should be rated 3 star. The food was disgusting, the restaurant manager was rude, the room towels were falling to bits. It took half an hour to check out as the staff did not know what they were doing.
nice seaview room
We were upgraded to a suite at the 15th floor with an extraordinary view over the beach and the ocean. The staff was professional. The beach near the hotel is great (soft sand, palms, calm water). The room and services provided by the hotel were definetly worth the money.
The location was excellent - right on the beach, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. The showers seem to have a mind of their own and change temperature at random intervals!
I liked the room and the view from the window (no balcony). I liked the breakfast. The 2nd floor pool too open and therefore windy. Pool bar closed (9th sept?). No outdoor eating/drinking areas. Views were from behind windows. No concierge service when we arrived or left. No ambience. No warmth from the staff. Limited menu in the restaurant.
Views were really good. Top floor bar at 17th was lacking in atmosphere, it could be awesome with a good interior designer. Really big rooms, pool was windy as described by some one else, but there is a good beach just below it. Go for the views of the bay and spaciousness! Good bar across the road. Oh breakfast was great too. Did'nt eat dinner there.
big room, nice breakfast. Location is central, near a nice small beach. Hotel needs urgently a facelift! Brown water came out the pipeline, not very nice. They tried to solve it, service ok.
The level of comfort, installations and personnel are everything you would expect of a 5* hotel. Its position right next to the beach is excellent and it is very easy to find, being the only tall building on the island! This was my first visit to Lanzarote and I would have no hesitation in returning: the only place I would stay is this hotel. Breakfast excellent .- including champagne and egg chef - and with lovely views from floor to ceiling windows. We were upgraded to a suite (there are twice as many suites as rooms) on the 15th floor and enjoyed fantastic views in two directions. The minibar contains complimentary water and juices. G&T in the bar on the 17th floor to watch the sunset is an essential appointment. No, nothing - everything was excellent. Brits may require tea and coffee making facilities in the room but this is a rarity in Spain.
Well positioned in Arrecife. Helpful staff. Decent suite. Excellent breakfasts. Out of season, many of the facilities were closed. The top floor restaurant, despite the views, produced only average food at expensive prices
Good location. Good staff. No gift shop.
They upgraded us to a suite. Views and breakfast were fab. The restaurant didn't open until 8pm for dinner. Too late for us.
Staff, food and facilities were excellent...will return. Towels in bedrom...on the small side!
Enjoy the opportunity to relax in a quality location with good food and comfortable facilities. Fish choice not as good as previous trips
The staff cannot do enough for their guests and the pool and dining is wonderful.
Excellent family hotel. Good facilities for young children. Helpful staff. Free wifi in hotel lobby. Very good breakfast. The evening meals were average
Food variety was excellent The room we were allocated was poor It was on the ground floor, overlooking an overgrown bit of garden with a large receptacle for garden refuse in front There were only two very flat pillows on the bed The main areas of the hotel were furnished luxuriously, but certainly from our experience with our room, the bedrooms were poor quality
The best hotel I have stayed at in this price range. Location is great - surrounded by plenty of beach, small shops, bars and restaurants. No nightclubs within earshot. Hotel is very clean and very well maintained. Staff are helpful and friendly. Huge variety of food. Pools clean. Evening entertainment was of a high standard. Very family friendly. The kids (6,4 &2) all loved it from the second we walked in and they were presented with a small inflatable seahorse. I try to avoid going back to the same place twice. This hotel will be an exception to that rule.
I have stayed at the hotel 4 times --- The hotel is very well run and maintain. - food is excellent - staff very friendly - location is very good. The evening entertainment could be better - and perhaps a bit of moderization of the bedrooms might be an idea. I would perfer no dogs allowed.
excellent hotel.very clean, staff very friendly.good food high standards.
Very pleased with the hotel- cleanliness excellent, food good, staff helpful, convenient position without being in the centre of Puerto del Carmen. Room fridge (not minibar) and microwave provided. Hotel provided beach towels on a returnable deposit. Closeness to airport convenient - but no noise problems as a result. Only minor things - in spite of the hotel requesting guests not to 'reserve' sunbeds with towels, many still did it - mostly the German guests, I think. For a 4 star hotel, I think the room safe should be included in the price and not be charged at €2 per day. It would be nice to have BBC 1 available on the room TV as well as CNN and Sky News.
Hotel was very clean and staff are very friendly. Rooms are spacious (for 2 adults and 1 infant) but room lacked decent helpful facilities such as a decent fridge and kettle (mini bar fridge, microwave and a bad travel kettle provided but it had to be requested) especially helpful when you have a young child. The Swimming Pool and fitness facility are more than adequate, with the hotel very close to the beach with no road to cross and is therefore great for children. We were on full board bases and the breakfast buffet is good, dinner buffet is ok, great selection but if I was to go back I would not take the dinner buffet option. I would highly recommend this hotel to all ages and families and will return someday for a break Not great facilities in the hotel room, no kettle and the fridge was just a mini bar fridge, this make life difficult when with young children. But in fairness to hotel provide everything we asked for after our arrival. Pool area good but there may be a lack of sun bed at busy times, pool bar has a limited menu. Hotel night entertainment is interesting but fine. Hotel is about 10min walk to the "main strip” but that did not bother me in fact enjoyed the walk!!
Fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and convenient location.
very well organised, a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency, clients dressed in appropriate attire in restaurant, sufficient sunbeds at pool, no noise whatsoever, lovely and peaceful. no, overall very good
Very close to Beach and Airport. Well located in the lively resort of Port del Carmen. Excellent Swimming Pool and other facilites and friendly staff. Good food
room and service excellent
We liked everything. The staff were great - very helpful and friendly. The food was great - loved the salads ...mmmmmm! The whole complex was great - you would find it hard to find anywhere nicer on the island! n/a
Friendly staff & cleanliness of rooms and surroundings Food isn't the best
Very clean and tidy hotel. Excellent food with friendly and helpful staff.
Sun, sea, pool, relaxation, service, everything.Staff ver accomodating and courteous, Will come again.
The entertainment was a bit poor but the kids liked it
hotel rooms very clean good size bathroom with a huge walk in shower overall would recommend only negative was no shower door water all over the floor bathroom no shower door floor destroyed with water
He bedroom is great. Not enough fresh fruits for breakfast and far too much fried food.
everything was perfect,food pool staff,location
Showers are wonderful the best I have used yet only negative would be they must put slip mat inside for safety otherwise no complaints Although their was a wide choice at breakfast the hot buffet was cold and this needs to be addressed also Toaster takes forever toast has to be put through about 4 times to get it brown please buy better toasting machines
siwmming pool food
Comfort, kindliness of the cleaning lady, style of the furniture, space on the balcony, Rather poor breakfast bufet choice, no shower curtain.
Hotel is great for singles, couples and families. Fantastic location. Fantastic views from bedroom and balcony - close proximity to the sea which you could hear lapping even when balcony doors closed. Very relaxing. Pool area idyllic for everyone. Most of the staff are really excellent, friendly & smiling especially in Reception. I was given a birthday cake & wine on my big day - A nice touch. This is a lovely hotel in a lovely area of PDC. Brilliant for just relaxing or sampling the nightlife of PDC Ive stayed here many times before - Hotel has now changed its policy, instead of a great buffet lunch it only serving snacks during lunch time. These varied from not bad frozen type burgers to pretty basic toasted sandwiches and salads- Very disappointing!. Although some drinks prices have stayed static the price of draught beer is now extortionate. The 'beach' bar was not open during my stay, so if you wanted a drink by the sea you had to go and get it from the main bar. Sun loungers & parasols seem to be 'reserved' at 6am for the best positions round the pool and overlooking the sea ! Having said that there were plenty of loungers available for everyone all day [ but not parasols or chairs] - But none of this spoilt my stay
The facilities are excellent...the proximity to the sea and it's own beach, the terraces overlooking the sea etc. The location is superb..at the historic end of Puerto del Carmen.IBy the way, I think your service is excellent..your website works well, and I seem to get better rooms when I book with you. Usual sun lounger problems..reserve one at 6am!!
The location, being beachside and close to the shops and facilities at Puerto del Carmen
Very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Location excellent and well maintained grounds. Bedroom furniture needs ugrade.
It was a wonderful relaxing time. Very safe for families with young children.
Full of Irish Rooms a bit small, no air conditioning
location they allow customers to book sun beds with towels and some customers did not come back for hours. They should remove these towels
The facilities were excellent and the location was excellent, it was well landscaped and well maintained facilities for lunch could be better as bar menue was very limited. No restuarant facilities at the hotel.
I liked the surrounding areas, being able to look out at the sea from my room. The grounds are very impresssive and well looked after. While the hotel itself if very well kept the bedrooms could do with being upgraded, furniture carpets in particular need to be replaced. We have been going there for over 13 years and there have really been no changes to the rooms.
Late check-out and use of hotel facilities - great Sun bed craziness. There should be a no-reserve policy on all sun beds. If a bed is empty for 1 hour, then security should remove all belongings left to 'secure' the bed. Also check-in was very unwelcoming. The record of our reservation was inaccurate and we were made to feel that it was our fault, whcih was bad.
Very helpful staff. Everything done for you. Good breakfast buffet plus hot dishes cooked to order. Optional dinner -- also good. Hotel is very well-appointed with a beautiful garden.
We enjoyed the peace, quiet and excellent facilities and service.
The apartment was fantastic and the cleaning staff were brilliant. The location was perfect and we will definetly be returning again for a visit
Location of hotel great direct access to the beach. Breakfast was included in deal and was very good. Room was not thoroughly cleaned
Situation near beach.Cleanliness.Service. Nothing.
had a wonderful time at the farionnes..close to the beach..great breakfast..good entertainment..staff very friendly
We acyually stayed in the apartments, what we loved the most was easy access to the beach and the magnificent breakfast and lunch food. n/a
The handiness, convenience and location of hotel. Love the rooms, location and surrounding area. located near shops pubs restuarants etc. great clientele, good facilites for children, nice apartments, pool area spotelss, hotel spotless. Bar staff not friendly- restaurant staff not efficient. Beds very uncomftable. Reception staff could be a bit more efficient for registering visitors and facilitating them when they ask for safe keys and towels on check in rather thatn told come back later as im busy!!
The pool, step onto beach, breakfast and balcony No air con in room, mozquitos will come in if you leave windows open as they are common due to gardens, having to pay at checkin
I found the food was excellant and the hotel location was perfect No indoor pool with steam room
Good position, helpful staff, outside area good and ground floor areas good. Room rather cramped and bathroom claustrophobic
The hotel is right beside the sea with a beach 4 Km long that can be used to relax on or go for a long walk. The hotel has three swimming pools itself one with sea water, one with normal pool water and the smaller on used by children. The facilities around the hotel are excellent with bar/dining area at the pools. There is plenty of space around pools for people use. Inside the hotel is beautiful with an excellent dining area. There was entertainment there at the bar most night. A small number of staff that were serving food at the pool bar/dining area could have being more friendly.
It was in a good location within Puerto del Carmen Very unfriendly bar staff near the pool area
The restaurant was excellent. We don't normally like hotel buffets, but this changed every day with different themes and "live cooking". Liked the square fried eggs for brekky.Staff very good.Poolside area very good and everything very clean. As is often the case in these hotels the turkish steam bath never really worked and at the end the shower broke aswell. If you wanted tea making facilities in the room you had to pay extra, also to use the fridge, safe deposit and to use the towelling gowns (though to be fair we had a family room and were not charged). For a 4 star hotel this seemed a little mean! Should have wi-fi in the rooms.
Great buffet food and restaurant staff, nice quiet poolside and good size, comfortable rooms. Initial room allocation was not interconnecting, meaning we had to move all our cases to a second pair of rooms. Hairdryer in room was low powered.
facilities and comfort were really satisfactory more or less everything was quitre satisfactory
Informality and privacy old fashioned bedrooms
Excellent food served by very attentive staff. Very clean everywhere. Lovely place to relax. Great night-time entertainment. Poor choice of Irish drinks in bar. Many Irish people use this hotel and they have only 2 choices of regular drinks-Jameson and Tullamore Dew. The latter is spelt "Thullamore Dew" .
We selected the half board option and found the choice of food to be excellent catering for all tastes. The staff especially the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and were tidied every morning to a high standard. When ever I return to Lanzarote I would have no hesitation in staying at the San Antonio again.
the sea view, availability of parking space, responsive personnel particularly at the reception desk, close to "l'avenida" ( shopping cntr, restaurants) nice public.. generally speaking, It was a good experience, had a good time there. room was not ready: telephone was not working and could be replaced ( changed) only on the 2nd day+ one light bulb was out ( deffected) + generally insufficient lighting in room.+ door between our room and next hotel room was not locked+ unavailable wireless access to internet.
It was resonable value I would like tea making facilitty in the room
location was great, rooms very big and beds comfartable. room was to far away to carry cases, long way to lift as no lift on first floor,i have bad back and did struggle on day of arrival and then departure with luggage.
room size very good also nice bright room, lovely view wine selection very dissapointing
the room was very clean and comfortable, reception staff were fine , to be honest we didnt spend much time in the hotel... only slept there. was not happy with the TV channels they dont really cater for english speaking people. Definatley was not happy with the half board option, breakfast was ok but dinner was very bad wouldnt recommend this option to anyone. also the pool area is a disgrace there isnt enough sun chairs and if you do seem to get one, you will be practically sitting on the person next to you.. very bad.
Modern hotel, spacious rooms, very clean, friendly staff, good food, excellent facilities and activities, right on the beach, three pools, entertainment in hotel bar at night with good number of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Would recommend. Placement of hotel on booking.com map is incorrect, hotel is actually located between the Los Jameos and the Beatriz Hotels and is a 30 minute walk from the main strip at Puerto Del Carmen. There was some airport noise however we did not mind this.
2 Single beds push togather to make a double bed, is what i am mostly dissappointed about, otherwise everything else was perfect.
Pool area was good, room clean and tidy The bed was a bit hard, and the hotel was a fair way from Puerto Del Carmen, though to be fair there were a few restaurants in Matagorda nearby.
Staff very friendly, rooms spacious and cleaniness of a very high standard. Looking out on the beach with lots of safe areas for walks Children prefer British style breakfast ... did not like spanish sausages and rashers. Other than that food was nice
Incredibley large room, excellent kitchen (we stayed half board and got an incredible selection of foods every day), they had programs every evening,. Excellent sea view, beach right across the hotel.
sea view room location and staff.
Pool bar was great as was the pool itself. The location was perfect as it's only 10 mins walk to the local shops/bars/restaurants. You will need to get a taxi to the new town but this is only approx 4Euros and is only 5 mins away by car. N/A
Standard accomodation, pools were nice and apartments were quite spacious as was the bathrooms. View of the sea was lovely. Was 5 mins in a taxi to the main strip of puerto del carmen. The cleaniness of the apartments were quite poor and no air con was available, very hot at night. Steep hills up to the apartment and so people with poor mobility have to get taxis. Pool bar was quite bad and staff were quite rude.
Very Friendly staff, great rates, fantastic facilities too
Cleanliness of complex and rooms, quiet resort and good helpful staff. Food was a little 'cold' at times, and choice was somewhat limited.
great location helpful staff very clean and spacious great big pools would definatly return
Good hotel for this price, good location, good breakfast and dinner for one week. Good hotel for the holiday. One thing is mystic for me in a lot of the hotels-apartments. Why remote control of the TV set is stored in reception??
Disappointed at having to hire a kettle from reception as none in the apartment also hair dryer was hard to manage also very poor selection of beers in the bar.
Convenient to beach, nice pool area. No kettle or toaster, had to return to reception to rent remote control for air conditioning, should have been told this on checking in.
It is a very nice appartment complex and with a fantastic warmed swimming pool. The food was very good as well. One of the servants in the dining room was not always that friendly
The excellent beachfront location, the very nice room. Outstanding value for money. We could find free parking space on the street while arriving during siesta time. It was a 10 min drive to the airport, very covenient. The coffee served with the breakfast was of terrible quality.
Close to the airport (10 mins by taxi). Beach (outside hotel), shops resaurants within easy walking distance. Good breakfast, nice room and well appointed. No hot water one morning due to fault in the hot water system, therefore cold shower - probably good for me, but not by choice!
The Diamar is a good quality budget hotel on the Arecife promenade. The buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Our room had a lovely view overlooking the sea.
Everything - location, near centre, sea view, cafes, restaurants. Very clean and staff very helpful. Hotel looked new. Wi Fi internet access only worked outside room. I could not get signal in room with door shut!
Clean, new, comfortable rooms. Central location and very nice (sea)view. Staff was very friendly and really very helpful.
Great location, comfortable rooms. It's worth to pay additional money for sea view. Wi-Fi connection was availible only in a small area near the room door, but we didn't find it a serious enough problem to ask the hotel staff to do something with it.
The location is great overloking Playa Reducto, The rooms are of good size and well appointed nice bathroom and powerful shower The hotel is ideal if you do not want to be staying in a "full on " tourist area a chance to practice some spanish and the locals cater for spanish locals so the food is more interesting and yet local buses nearby means you are never very far away from anythingThe staff were excellent and very friendly apart from one female receptionist we had cold water for 4 days of our stay which somewhat marred our stay and they refused to give any discount from the bill as a "gesture" so you would need to check they have sorted their problems!!
The comfort and quietness, the staff at reception were very helpful. the breakfast scenario needs to address the hot water for tea etc. Using jugs to bring water is a little outdated.
Good clean rooms with sea view. Near centre and bust stop only about 5 mins walk. Frequent bus service to Puerto del Carmen. none
