the staff were very lovely and friendly. The room was beautiful with a great view over the fjord. Was in a great location for exploring Flam.
Hotel was located right next to the harbour and station terminus so easy to access main attractions. Restaurant was open only until 8pm and did not have a written menu. The choice of meals was poor - indeed no choice - and the prices charged exhorbitant.
The view on the mountains The door to the room gets locked only in 1.5 min after you close the door
Very friendly staff, great clean room with awesome view.Breakfast was delicious.
Great location and outstanding views. Staff not that helpful. Cafe overpriced and not that good.
great views of the fjords, 5 min walk to the ferry and the train. very comfortable setup. highly recommend these apartments
Way more charming than luxury hotels around and very confortable. It seems that it was by far the best place to stay in Flam. The view on the fjord was amazing.
This place is a 200 year old cabin with several rooms in a wonderful location. You have the mountains right in your backyard and a view of the stream from the kitchen. The staff was nowhere to be seen during my stay. The staircase to go upstairs is tiny but then again it's an old old cabin. The walk to the cabin is inconvenient as you have to walk on a dirt road. Not suitable for suitcases.
Downstairs publc area comfortable. Short 10 min walk to tòwn. Bed and bedding good. Quiet area. Nice bathrooms and showeers Everything too sparse. No hooks in bedroom to hang clothes orwet towels. No garbage can in room. No salt and peppeerin kitchen
For the value of money, it's the best stay in Flam. The other hotels were so overpriced. Flam Hostel is basic but sufficiently comfortable for a night's stay. Bathroom is clean and modern. Did not expect a hostel to be this high quality probably because we never stayed in a hostel before. All the other hotels in Flam were fully booked.
Awesome location. The view from our room was beautiful. The host spoke very little English and/or was extremely shy. As a result, the welcome we received was minimal. We got little to no help or advice concerning the area, activities (lack of). The room and the breakfast were very basic and totally lacking any kind of charm considering the price we paid. This hotel's only asset is the view of the fjord.
Nestled between a river and waterfalls. Safe. Friedly staff. No address provided. Some directions to find it in advance would be great. Its not difficult once you know: cross the river, walk away from the water, thru an intersection. A sign will be on your left. About a 20 min walk.
The view was wonderful! By far the most beautiful view I have ever had at a hotel. The rooms where nice with that price also! Over this place is great. While I do not mind the walk some might complain. It was about 15 min from the main town, but for the view and hiking close by is worth it! This is country side Norway not 5th av. in New York.
