The staff were brilliant. We arrived late and the guy treated us with the right mix of being friendly without keeping us up longer than necessary. It set the tone for the week, everyone was great, breakfast was good, and a good spot as it was a little quieter than being nearer portimao main town.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. There are pleasant terraces to sit and read and drink wine in the evenings! It’s only a few minutes walk to some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, and there are plenty of local restaurants. Also the tourist hop-on hop-off bus stops close by which is a very useful way to get about the area - this is how I discovered Alvor, which is really worth a visit. It’s a charming, quiet place, perfect for total relaxation.

Room and bathroom clean and new. Good breakfast. Amable staff.
Actually the only reason that I've booked the room and in particular this hotel was the "sea view" in the description. I have to say that the hotel is not on the beach, you don't see the ocean from the rooms or the hall. If you want to go to the beach is 10 minutes walking, but the streets you have to do are not so nice.

More remote than i anticipated but its not a bad thing, just be prepared for a walk for dinner etc Hair in the bed and food at breakfast one morning Charging €3 minimum per item for the laundry service is laughable, fair to say i didn't use it

Hotel Alcaide ligger ved havet i Portimao. Herfra er der blot 4 minutters gang til Vau strand og 9 minutters gang til Alemao Strand. Gæsterne har blandt andet adgang til renseri/vaskeservice, en døgnåben reception og bagageopbevaring. Lufthavnstransport tur-retur er til rådighed mod et tillægsgebyr (døgnet rundt), og begrænset parkering findes desuden på stedet.
