Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine. Enjoyed the courtyard.
Wifi just BARELY worked in room 3. We had to go out to the courtyard to get a decent wifi signal. The heating/cooling system could only either heat all rooms, or cool all rooms. We were hot the first night so asked for cooling the 2nd night, but apparently other guests in other rooms wanted heat, so our room remained too warm at night.

On arrival you are met at your car by uniformed waiters who lead you down ancient cobbled streets, past bustling tapas bars with Iberico hams hanging and brightly coloured tiles on their walls. Down a little side alley is the old heavy wooden door that you would otherwise miss,and inside you are greeted with a cool, dark tiled entrance hall with atmospherically-lit roman statues, cut flowers and original paintings. Visitors to the hotel will enjoy extremely professional, friendly and attentive staff, and as they are invited to enjoy a welcome drink they may be stunned by the central indoor courtyard that greets them. A fountain surrounded by plants is overlooked by galleried staircases with vibrant colours, trailing vines and Spanish artwork. It is like staying at a mansion owned by a wealthy friend who has curated the decor with exquisite detail. The location is steps away from the unforgettable sight of orange trees lining the Calle Mateos Gago, leading down to the Cathedral and Giralda; especially enchanting if you first see it at dusk lit with a heavenly white-golden glow. The perfumed notes of orange blossom filling the air on a warm March evening are a memory to treasure. Fortunately one can buy it bottled and transport themselves back at will. The hotel has such a relaxed atmosphere and overall air of quality you will surely love it as much as the beautiful city itself.

We arrived early -- and the staff of the Casa del Poeta provided us with drinks and snacks -- gratis. A very romantic intimate concert was held in the Poeta's courtyard that night. The staff was extremely helpful. The beauty of the Poeta far exceeded our expectations, even for Sevilla.
We enjoyed all aspects of our stay at Casa del Poeta ... we only wish we could have stayed longer.

"The hotel itself is spectacular. It is an historic 17th century mansion, which has been restored in a luxurious, yet tasteful style. The location is also perfect for exploring Seville. The staff were excellent; they were helpful, attentive and proactive. They recommended restaurants to us and booked advance tickets to see the Cathedral and Real Alcazar (which we were especially grateful for when we saw the long queues outside both sites!). Our room was an ideal size for us and very comfortable. However, the bathroom was, unusually, on a level below the bedroom. This gave the room a unique feature, but getting to the bathroom could be hazardous in the dark!"
