Sol Principe

The resort is beautifully set up for summer with the most spectacular lagoon pools... but unfortunately, even though I'd checked the websites and couldn't see anything suggesting that the pools would be closed, they were. The indoor pool was open but it was quite small and not really for relxing in (no shallow area for young kids). The worst part was that the playground was a) fenced off, and b) closed for almost the whole day! They had people working at heights on the building next to it, so they closed the whole area except from about 4-6pm. So, we were left with almost nothing AT the resort to do. The one saving grace was that they had a good music/dancing show on Friday night which meant we didn't get the kids to bed until about 11pm (eek!) but it was probably the most memorable night of the holidays for them.

I guess we had bad luck with the playground and the pools (though I had sent them a msg via booking.com to confirm re: the pools before booking, but they never responded to my message so I took a punt since I couldn't see anything saying that they would be closed for our dates). Maybe I stuffed it up... but worth checking with them directly and making sure you get a response!
