The room was spacious with a small sitting area, very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a selection of food to suit most tastes. The location was good for visiting various places. We left the car at the hotel secure car park and travelled by train to Porto and Viana do Castell. The small stion is five minutes walk from the hotel, with very helpful staff.
You need to let the reception know your approximate time of arrival in order to have the gates open. After the first time you have your own key.

Everything was spotlessly clean. The pool and the tennisarea was nice. Short distance to Viana do Castello.
It was very hot and the rooms didn't have aircondition. The hotel has a lot of stairs everywhere -inside and out (also to the pool) - but no railings to hold on to, which was a problem for my mother. On the webpage it says that its handicap friendly. This is really not true, eventhough the host was kind to change my parents room to one on the ground floor.
