Located in Upstate South Carolina, between the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport began operations in 1962 at what was known then as Roger Milliken Field. Today, the airport boasts 226,000 square feet of space, second level jet bridge boarding, and 13 departure gates.
The airport serves more than 1.5 million travelers annually, many from nearby North Carolina. More than 75 daily non-stop departures are made to 19 cities across the country.
Directions
- GSP is about 11 miles east-northeast of Greenville, 17 miles west-southwest of Spartanburg, and 4 miles south of Greer. The airport also is fairly easy to access from nearby North Carolina and Georgia.
- From Columbia, South Carolina (1.5 hours): I-26 west to I-385 (Exit 51) toward Greenville, then I-85 north toward Spartanburg to exit 57
- From Atlanta, Georgia (2.5 hours): I-85 north to Exit 57
- From Asheville, North Carolina (1 hour): I-26 east to I-85 south to Exit 57
- From Charlotte, North Carolina (1.5 hours): I-85 south to Exit 57
GSP International Airport has one terminal with two concourses: A and B. The terminal building is just across from Parking Garage A. Ticketing, baggage claim, and car rental counters are located in the terminal building. Restaurants and gates are in the terminal beyond the security checkpoint.
