In 1927, Charles Lindbergh landed his Spirit of St. Louis at the Philadelphia Airport - which had just gotten its own wings two years earlier - as part of his historic solo flight between New York City and Paris. Today, PHL, the only major airport to serve the City of Brotherly Love, serves more than 31 million passengers every year.
Located about seven miles from downtown Philadelphia, the airport is situated on more than 2,300 acres and consumes more than 2.4 million square feet of building space. There are four runways, seven terminals, 120 boarding gates, and more than 20 airlines that call the airport home:

The airport also is home to more than 150 shops and restaurants, as well as an extensive arts program. Visual and performing arts featuring local artists and musicians enliven the airport year-round.
There are seven terminals at Philadelphia International Airport: A, B, C, D, E, and F. Terminal A is actually two terminals: A-West and A-East. Each terminal features ticketing areas, departure & arrival gates, shops, restaurants, and its own parking garage. There are connectors between the terminals, and there is also a courtesy shuttle to help passengers get between terminals for connecting flights. There is a food court and shopping mall between Terminals B and C.
Terminal A-West
Terminal A-West is served by Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa, and US Airways International. This terminal is home to the International Arrivals Hall.
Terminal A-East
Terminal A-East is home to Air Jamaica, American Airlines/American Eagle, Frontier, Midwest, USA 3000, and charters.
Terminal B
US Airways/American West make Terminal B home.
Terminal C
This terminal is home to US Airways..
Terminal D
Several airlines call Terminal D home: Air Canada, AirTran Airways, Continental/Continental Express, and United/United Express.
Terminal E
Delta, Northwest, and Southwest call Terminal E home.
Terminal F
US Airways Express is located in Terminal F.
