Clean, nice car. Had called Avis in advance to request GPS and was told no problem. Then when I arrived they said they didn’t have it. Didn’t try to help problem-solve or anything and I had a 6 hrs drive in unfamiliar territory ahead of me. I did not like being charged a per-day rate when I went through tolls. Some days I had to take a toll road that was only $.75 for the toll, but Avis charges something like $5/day to go through a toll at all. Please drop this charge. It’s b.s.Anmeldt d. 2. aug. 2023

Drop off was easy....just drop off the keys. BUT the quote I was given is not what the final bill I got via email. So today I get to call customer service to woke that out...good luck right? Car was filthy...which we couldn't tell in the dark parking garage. Upholstry was stained...dashboard and inside windows dirty. I really don't think it was cleaned after it was used, YUCK!!! The vehicle wasn’t cleaned. You could tell it was quickly vacuumed but wasn’t washed on the inside or outside at all. Therefore there wasn’t any way they even wiped it down for COVID cleaning!! Avis in Portland Maine was way too expensive, understaffed -leading to a 2-hr wait at check-in and then did not have the vehicle type I had reserved. I cancelled and went with another agency at the same location.Anmeldt d. 14. jul. 2021

Fordele:The car was very adequate. Checkout was fast, but not without consequences (see below).Ulemper:1. The price is nothing short of a gouge! Covid, blah blah, I know. 2. The car smelled like smoke. They really need an objective way to test for smoking and penalize people. 3. Check in was a long line and 1of3 clerks were humping it to serve customers. 4. My friend is fighting upwards of $5000 in charges, with Avis claiming he never returned the car, then that he kept it 3 extra days. Good grief.
