Fordele: Boarding process could use some work but overall it was good
Fordele: Airline was fantastic, most of the crew were super attentive.
Ulemper: Once in Rome there was very little guidance from ground staff
Fordele: Flight was smooth, I told the Captain that. Staff was helpful. They attended our needs, like that they served us food twice and snacks and drinks. Liked that they had blankets & pillow for us. The 12 hour flight was great and did not seem like it was 12 hrs. I will definitely fight this airline again
Ulemper: Staff at airport (Rome-FCO) was not too friendly but this had nothing to do w/ the flight. Flight was awesome. I would just recommend having a few more move selections but overall, I give this particular flight, from Millan to San Francisco an A+! ONE NOTE: Check in your luggage online OR else they will charge you double at Airport.
Fordele: The flight was well organized and comfortable and in spite of 1 hour delay waiting for takeoff due to the weather we landed only few minutes late. Checking in was easy and fast, registrar Elena was outstanding. I will recommend this airline to my friends
Ulemper: Air Italy charges to choose your seat assignment ahead of time, which is disappointing. I luckily for an aisle seat, but the seats are very cramped. Typical of these flights, but still. You can't use your tray table if the person in front leans the chair back.
Fordele: The seats are not comfortable. the crew was fine.
Ulemper: Other then putting in more leg room, to make it more comfortable, everything else was pretty standard.
Fordele: Very narrow seat, leg room limited however passengers still can recline their seats. So if your front passenger recline their seats, basically you got locked into your seat and hard to get in and out.

2.5hrs delay due to technical problem, connection flight did not wait
Fordele: The food was good for airplane food.
They had a menu and choice between chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots or pasta with mushrooms and cheese together with a warm bread and delicious chocolate mousse for dessert. Breakfast was either scrambled eggs or pancakes.
Ulemper: Flight delayed 2.5 hrs due to electrical problem on the Air Italy A330. Missed connection flight in MXP to NAP. Even though there was a Rome flight leaving at the same time that waited, ours to NAP did not wait.

Fordele: Clean aircraft. Staff were friendly.

Fordele: A flight of about six hours with no entertainment. It delayed for more than 4 hours and no one said anything.

Ulemper: The baggage fee if you dont pre pay online is 100.00 per bag, the online system doesn't work all the time, we spent over an hour at the Airport to go thru the process of paying for the check in bags which is handled by a third party...
Ulemper: Had to bus to plane and walk up steps into plane ... but may be more issue with airport.
Fordele: Flight attendants were curt, and rude.
Ulemper: Staff were rude and inattentive. Child vomited all over herself during landing. When we tried to get her off offered no special assistance. Blocked nastily by the flight attendant trying to exit. No stroller for child even though gate checked pick up with luggage.
Ulemper: Food could have been better.
While we checked our baby stroller at the boarding gate, we did not get the stroller back at the gate. Had to carry the children one of whom had gotten air sick out to pick up the stroller at the baggage claim.

Fordele: Very friendly and professional crew. Punctual flight. Easy online check in.
Ulemper: Long boarding. The seat recliner reclines too far so there is very little space for the passenger behind. So the seat space was excruciatingly small. I ordered a vegan meal online 3 days before my flight (as they suggested) but I never received the confirmation and the correct meas was not provided. The movie choices were limited and outdated.
Fordele: Crew was great and food was good. Also, the movie selection was a good mix

Ulemper: The plane felt like it was going to fall apart and my baggage was never put on the plane.

Ulemper: I tried to check in online several times during starting one week prior to my trip and tried to add a bag to be checked in and the system did not let me do that. When I when to check in at the airport thei charged me 50 Euros instead of 20 euros by online.

Fordele: After 2hrs into the flight, we turned back to JFK because a drunk person was out of control! They should not have turned back!!!! The trip took 14 hours

Ulemper: Flight was cancelled without notification. No refund provided yet. Has been three weeks. Not at all a reliable or responsible airlines.
Fordele: I liked the direct flight from Los Angles to Milan. Convenient not to have a layover. Staff was courteous. Planes are clean. Fair price reasonable if you only have carryon.
Ulemper: Airline website not user friendly. After having paid for seats in advance still was not able to get boarding pass online. Also had a bicycle to check in. Was not able to pay for it in advance. Had to pay extra at the airport with hassle of having to go back and forth ticket counters .
Ulemper: People not answering phones when you call the company. I was not able to check in or buy my suitcase online. Couldn’t do anything with the app. Very frustrating.

Ulemper: One crew member did not like me switching to a seat that was a premium seat. With a half empty plane did it matter?

Ulemper: Plane left with a two-hour delay. Boarding process was unorganized, very poorly handled and seemed to be managed by high-schoolers. Upon boarding one was struck by a strong smell of urine. Entertainment options were limited and old, especially when compared with other airlines.

Ulemper: This airline should be shut down. Worst customer service I have ever experience before during and after a flight. I will never again fly air Italy. I was literally in tears throughout this experience. The staff are clueless and rude.

Ulemper: What could have been better:
1) Boarding process; although the gate agents announced particular rows, they did not enforce
2) Snack was not very appealing
3) We would have liked wine after the meal, but attendants did not offer and when requested, they refused.

Ulemper: Through of the12 hours flight, the warm air is unbearable and the seat is small and cramp even pay $40 extra is no help.
Ulemper: Food had no taste. The quality needs to be much better
