Fordele: I liked the entertainment options and the leg room.
Ulemper: The dinner on the flight from IAD/DUB was not very good. However, the lunch on the way back to IAD was much better.

Ulemper: Poor customer service. I think I said thank you many more times than the flight attendants who barely acknowledged me. They seemed annoyed about delivering basic services (distributing meals/collecting rubbish/etc.).
Ulemper: The flight took off kate from Bdl, so they didn’t bring the bags into Barcelona Then in Barcelona , no one cares about anything. There is no office of aer lingual abd Iberia who suooosed to take over , doesn’t care

Ulemper: Seats and tray tables were old and falling apart. Couldn’t get tray table back into upright and locked position. Not much leg room.
Ulemper: Baggage claim wait was over an hour
Fordele: I was very disappointed that we had to pay for our checked baggage both coming and going to Philadelphia. Also had to pay for our seat allication in order to make sure I would be sitting with my elderly mother. It made our flight more expensive than we would have liked. Will probably not be booking with aer lingus again.
Ulemper: We also had to wait for our luggage to be off loaded for 3 hours on our outward journey due to an immenent thunder storm with absolutely no appology from aer lingus!!!
Fordele: We arrived safely and ahead of schedule
Ulemper: It was exceptionally hot, too hot to be comfortable. I was so overheated I felt panicked. Very unacceptable. The flight attendants k interacted with were rude.
Must have International Standards.

Ulemper: lost our only one check in luggage on a non stop flight. They put it on the wrong plane to a different destination. We did not receive it back for three days. We paid $145 for check in to only have it lost. Unbelievable.
Ulemper: My carry on was “too big” so I had to run to buy a bag. disgusting

Ulemper: Broken seats, headphone socket not working, smell of aviation fuel in cabin and then our luggage did not arrive at our final destination.

Ulemper: Did not receive proper meal accommodations, no entertainment (my TV didn't work), did not want emergency seat but received anyway, rude flight attendants...terrible experience altogether. Opened a dispute with Aer Lingus last week, haven't heard back yet.

Ulemper: 1) I ordered a non-lactose meal but was given a meal which had dairy in it because it made me ill the same way that dairy does. I think I was given the vegetarian option instead of non-lactose. Pretty poor - especially given the health consequences of such sloppiness. 2) No-checkin ability in advance of arriving at the airport so I was unable to select my seats. 3) My tv screen did not have movie options so I had to move seats. 4) Had to pay for a measly vodka & tonic but no advance warning of having to pay for alchoholic drinks. 5) Crew uniforms were drab & shoes were scruffy, most wearing scuffed old shoes that looked like they'd played football in them. Gives a bad impression.
Fordele: While you have a very good selection of audio, your film and tv selection is odd to say the least. Great that you have IFB shorts but the tv selection is odd.
Ulemper: You need a vegetarian or at least dietary restricted option - not food options had dairy on today’s flight
Fordele: I was traveling with my handicapped parents and everyone with Aer Lingus was very helpful and nice.
Good Flight but Missing a Few Frills
Fordele: Generally everything was good: delicious food, polite staff, seat that leaned back all the way as used to be customary.
Ulemper: The tray tables slanted toward us quite a bit, rather than staying level as they should. Flight attendant knew to suggest we prop them up with a pillow underneath, thankfully, but old equipment probably should be repaired or replaced more frequently to avoid this problem. Also, the food supply was running a little short, which meant that I could not buy an extra sandwich at the time when I was hungry for it since they had to save their supply for the tea service. (First meal was called lunch; smaller meal at the end was called tea.) Additionally, the main meals ("lunch") were not listed in the food brochure, meaning that I had to ask the flight attendant about the details while he was taking my order, a slightly inefficient system. (No problem for one passenger, but if you multiply it by the number of passengers on the plane, it may have kept someone from using the restroom when they wanted to, or similar.)

Fordele: The members of staff at the check in desk, boarding and the crew members in the course of the flight were very efficient and hospitable.
Fordele: No shortage of good food and entertainment. Crew was friendly and professional.

There should b more option for Indian Bollywood films.

Ulemper: Never Had Such Experience with any airline before. The planes were old, and the services very poor.
Ulemper: Plane broke down 35 min after we took of for miami, we gad to go back, airport was close, no food fro 8 hour, not allaow to exit the airport, double imigation in aruba abd than miami, we were mistrrated, nasty experiense.

Ulemper: The seats were uncomfortable. There was no in-flight entertainment. The snacks were terrible. Who still serves peanuts on a plane with so many people with peanut allergies like myself?? Then they decided in the way back that the cabin temperature was too cold for some people so the rest us had to suffer on this hot plane. Then they kick the a/c back on once we land. Made no sense. Finally what really irritated me was we checked in our baby's stroller at the gate at departure and when we land in Miami airport, where the baggage claim is ridiculously far from the gate, they tell us we have to go get it from baggage claim. So after a long trip we had to carry our bags and baby all the way across the airport for our luggage. Forgot to mention there were flies on the plane. I've NEVER been on a commercial flight with flies.... Just ridiculous.

Fordele: The entire staff was so warm and friendly. The music playing while we waited to take off was so relaxing. The flight left early and landed early! Going through customs was an absolute breeze. The price was excellent! I was so excited to see they served food as well which is never the case now days on other main airlines, however I am quite health conscious so I did not eat it. Would like to see better quality food options.

Fordele: The flight was fairly comfortable. Everything was on time. There was a good selection of movies to watch on the in flight entertainment system.
Ulemper: Virgin Atlantic seats are more comfortable.

Ulemper: Cancelled flight. Flight staff was aware flight would be cancelled hours before departure and still took hours to reschedule and redirect passengers. Only 3 representative working on this for over 200 passengers. Extremely inefficient customer service. Made passengers wait in line for hours. Will not likely fly Aer lingus again.

Ulemper: Even though the flight was scheduled to depart at 5:30 pm. It didn't board until 6:30. Apparently this is common practice as the majority of their guests are chronically late. Other than not being on time, the flight was decent.

Worst airline ever
Ulemper: From panama to aruba they didnt let us in the plane while we where waiting on a full bus with no air, we had to wait like 45 minutes inside the lift like animals... From aruba to panama the plane came 1 hour and a half late and the crew didnt want to tell us about anything until a lady told them she had a conection flight already lost. Aruba Airlines is the worst airline i have ever travel with.

Stay Away If You Can
Fordele: The old plane landed without incident and the stewardess was polite and apologized for the fact there was no food, wine, or diet coke on return flight. She did refill my water frequently.
Ulemper: Let me count the issues re my r/t flight from Miami to Aruba. First, if you buy your ticket from Kayak they apparently have no connectivity and cannot issue your boarding pass without waiting for an hour for some systems to speak to each other (while waiting they asked me a couple of times if i had paid for the trip in Venezuelan bolivares??). I waited for an hour at the counter on both legs of my trip, having to run in order to not miss my flight. Second, the plane is old! The seats have ash trays sealed with white duct tape, there is no entertainment on board, and the fluorescent cabin lighting begins flickering like a club on take-off. Finally, to top it off, the bathrooms had no soap and all that was offered in First Class on my return was a bag of lay chips and coke or sprite (no diet coke and no wine). I fly about 75k miles per year, this is by far was worst airline i have been on. Stay away if you can.
