Ulemper: The online process was TERRIBLE. Navigating the website / getting boarding passes was like 1999. Need a massive upgrade. Also for a 4 hour flight, you need some kind of on-board entertainment. And if not, let passengers know.

3 1/2 hours late

Ulemper: The plane was 3 1/2 hours late...I was constantly getting updated that the departure time was changed from 8:15pm to 9:30pm to 10:15pm finally to 11:05pm. When the plane did arrive, no one could tell us what happened—they literally said “we don’t know why it’s late”. YOU’RE THE AIRLINE; if any one should know what’s going on, it should be you!

Ulemper: Their airport under remodeling so from arrival gates to departure gates is a hike around the outside. Very crowded departure area with limited seats.
Fordele: Would be great to have screens if World Cup in airport

Ulemper: Paid for an upgrade , baggage wasn’t tagged as priority and came out last on arrival and box that was professionally wrapped and labeled fragile was crushed up and unrecognizable upon arrival. Baggage staff using unprofessional language, calling me “Baby”
Fordele: I Marked only boarding lower because we did it twice. That was just fine though. The crew was apologetic for having to re board another plane for mechanical problems. They kept everyone up to date of the changes and how we were to progress along the route. Everyone on board understood the crew didn't want to change planes and redo all the pre- flight start ups more than passengers wanted to change after boarding. The crew was most apologetic and super efficient. Well done
Couldn't be better
Fordele: The cabin attendant was unbelievably efficient and professional. The airport was marvelously clean. The staff was helpful. It's rated the best airport in the Caribbean for a very good reason.
Flight was great. But the airport isn't quite yet.
Fordele: The flight crew in the plane was terrific. Once the new airport is done is going to be fabulous.
Ulemper: The gate area was overcrowded the sound system was terrible. Once the new airport is finished it will be wonderful. Until then we'll just get by.
Fordele: The seats are so much more roomy than the other airlines that fly there. It was very comfy.
Ulemper: It was a short flight with no entertainment or food. Nothing not to like.
Ulemper: We were in business class and it took 40 minutes to receive a drink. Also, there were no power/charging plugs anywhere. Very disappointed
Ulemper: i missed my flight and my ticket was worthless, no credit was given to alienate the financial burden of buying a one way ticket into Grand Cayman. Somewhat sad.

Fordele: On time, room to spread out, and free rum punch - what more could you ask for.
Fordele: Crew in Grand Cayman did all they could to help us. Hotel and transfer help.

Overall a good flight

Good flight. Boarding agent was unbelievably rude!
Fordele: Flight was on time. As always on Cayman Airways, the flight attendants on board were so friendly.
Ulemper: There is no on-board entertainment to speak of. The Cayman Airways agent at the gate was EXTREMELY rude... sticking out her hand was her way of asking to see our boarding passes and passports. No eye contact, no words. Then "Who's Lucy?" (my 4 year old girls name is Lila). When we said "ahh, Lila?", she exhaled loudly and handed our docs back, and that was it. My wife and I were left staring at each other, half in disbelief of what we'd just witnessed. I wished I'd looked for a name badge... would have loved to out someone like that by name. Cayman Airways are hardly the most on time airline, and their planes aren't new. Their whole stick is free checked bags, rum punch and the friendliest staff. They start failing there, and they may as well shut er down.
Fordele: After Caribbean Air the seats feel like bussiness class even in cattle class. The staff are friendly, they (normally) give you an entire can of soda (no snack though - short flight). Seats are comfortable (for economy).
Ulemper: Always leave a little late. (But at least didn't leave a lot late.)
Fordele: After being stranded in Chicago by Delta, Cayman Airways saved the trip! Crew was great and loved the rum punch served!
Trip was great
Fordele: It was not crowded...arrived in a timely manner. Staff were warm and approachable.
Ulemper: I liked everything. Flight was great. Nothing to complain about.
Fordele: I was not happy when I watched the ground crew drive off with my luggage because the flight was over weight. Seems to me the company should plan flights better.
Fordele: Very smooth flight from take-off to touch-down.
Flight attendants were very polite.
Ulemper: Unfortunately, our arrival gate was not available after an early landing which created a delay on the tarmac of about 45 minutes.
Comfortable, but a few big flaws
Fordele: Great plane on a new 737, with comfortable business class
Ulemper: Absolutely no food available, even in business class (no snacks/peanuts ) - was unacceptable following a lengthy delay
Fordele: No food on these short flights and only juice or water is free to drink. I had a very short transit time and cabin crew were great in getting me off plane as quickly as possible.
Ulemper: We departed later than planned due to late arrivals, so my arrival was delayed thus making my transit time even shorter. If people can't turn up on time on such a small island for an international flight they should be stopped from travelling.

Five hour delay for a one hour flight
Ulemper: The flight was exactly 5 hours delayed (scheduled for 5:20 PM and departed at 10:20 PM). There was a small apology but that was it- no food or drinks offered, no voucher, etc. It was very disappointing. When we got on the plane, there was a 45 minute baggage loading delay. It seemed like there could have been more haste involved in loading considering at that point there had already been a considerable delay. The worst part was, there was very little update the whole time. At one point we were told there was a technical issue so a new plane was being brought in from Grand Cayman but they time delay kept increasing without an explanation. I understand delays but to have no updates is just inconsiderate. It just seemed like there was no consideration. I will not fly with this airline again.
Fordele: Wonderful to enjoy the only non-stop jet service from Cayman Brac direct to Miami.

Fordele: A little slow on boarding....but overall good efficient crew. Love the luggage for free! We were able to take all of our snorkling gear and our sand shoes without having to buy them there!

The employees make you feel more comfortable in their desire to please. I return to Georgetown frequently. It is my favourite Caribbean island and Cayman Airways makes the trip even more pleasurable.

Ulemper: The cabin wad freezing! People were wearing winter jackets!
Ground Crew broke the plane
Fordele: Not much.
Ulemper: The ground crew broke the auxiliary power unit while de-icing the plane. We went back to the gate by bus, and we stood around for hours with no information from Cayman Airlines. Initial problem wasn't CA's fault, but they could have communicated better.
Ulemper: Flight was delayed two hours or so.
Fordele: Easy flight. Lot of care taken in weight of plane. One of our bags came in a later flight. On a previous flight to Little Cayman we came in by helicopter due to plane issues. Super.
UNPLEASANT FLIGHT ATTENDANT
Ulemper: There is one flight attendant, African American lady who I have had unpleasant experiences in every flight I've taken with Cayman airlines. I'm currently living in the island and have flown 4 times to and from Florida and this woman was there. She needs to be retrained!! Unfortunately I didn't get her name but please make sure you guys select your staff, she dosent know what hospitality means and what kindness is. She's rude when talks to you, she woke up my husband and I by pushing us and demanding to take our earphones off but she was very mean! In other ocasions she almost yield at me cause I had my phone near my ear and said: "you're not supposed to be on your phone "! -No stupid, I wasn't, theres this thing called Airplane mode. Plus, in another flight, NYC-Cayman 3 flight attendants were seating behind us and chatting and laughing out loud disturbing the whole flight after being delayed for 3 hours at the airport... very unpleasant!!! My husband and I are reconsidering if we want to fly with KX again, every time something unpleasant happens, besides of the fact that 90% of the times your flights are delayed by HOURS! We travel a lot and never has experienced so many delays in one airline. One more thing, we are new yorkers, we're thick akin, if we complaint is because something is really wrong. I hope you guys do something about the quality of your service. Regards
