Ulemper: Ground staff could have been more helpful given I was on “standby” . Made me stand in a line for absolutely no reason and then go stand in it again as if to kill time until a seat came up - they could have just asked me to take a seat. I know how stand-by works.
Ulemper: Not cancelling our flight less than 24 hrs before departure
Fordele: Ended up getting on Lufthansa, flight was fine overall, seats are incredibly small and uncomfortable for long flights.
Ulemper: Original flight was cancelled, alternatives were fine but incurred additional cost due to change in schedule. Flight was fine arrived early, but it cost more than anticipated.
Fordele: Crew was super friendly. They all seemed to like their job and interacting with people.
Fordele: Crew was attentive did they best on a large flight accommodating a large amount of people. Wide assortment of films.
Ulemper: Although I preselected my bulkhead seat so I had more legroom, the family behind me was the worst I e experienced ever in flying. Constant kicking, pulling, tapping the back of my chair. When I tried to put my seat in recline the passenger behind me said “no!” Never slept!
Fordele: Crew was very attentive and friendly. Choice of movies was very good.
Ulemper: Quality of food was not as good as on last year’s flight.
Fordele: Clean friendly helpful safe on time
Ulemper: Catering from San José is no good solution.

Ulemper: Seats are terribly small and not much room for legs
Fordele: The crew were pleasant. The plane was clean. The food was fine, as far as airplane food goes. Chocolates were a nice touch.
Ulemper: We were delayed by hours; just before boarding offered voucher for free bottle of water...? Later found out it was supposed to be a meal voucher (hours late in leaving). Too late to use, by then. No soap in WC - flight attendant said she could not replace it. Very limited entertainment options.
Fordele: Food, service
Fordele: The boarding people kept asking for a visa to Zurich. That was my transit country, why would I need a visa? They wasted 30 min!!!
Fordele: Everything was great. Will fly again!

Ulemper: Leg room on my longest leg of the trip was not much and when the person in front of me leaned back their chair, my knees were touching the chair.
Fordele: Seats reclined more than many flights; good food and entertainment.
Ulemper: Kids in the plane running around and crying/screaming for 8hours straight on a 12 hours flight and absolutely no intervention of the stewards.
Fordele: Excellent food, clean plane
Ulemper: Should have received flight confirmation and online check in a day before flight. Didn't receive anything, also there no explanation about baggage allowance and fees.
Fordele: They cancel my flight
Ulemper: Nothing not using anymore

Ulemper: The ticket wasn't used; it went to waste because the infant I was supposed to courier became too ill to travel and the airline would not allow a change fee after you sent me to book the IDENTICAL FLIGHTS 2 weeks later and the entire fare went down the drain. I had to purchase the entire fare again. The lack of compassion on the part of both Kayak and Edelweiss/Swiss Air is beyond my comprehension at this time. I hope to never have to fly them again if I ever have a choice.

Ulemper: Au Canarie ils n’ont pas été capable de donner tout les billets d’avions de mon trajet jusqu’à montreal, j’ai seulement eu le billet jusqu’à Zürich . Ça pris plus de 30 minute pour l’obtention de mon billet. Et le départ a eu lieu 15 minutes plus tard que prévu. Nous avions demandé billet coté allé et nous avons eu centre et hublo. Très déçu de la logistique de cette compagnie aérienne .

Last min flight change
Ulemper: I purchased ticket for my mom with one stop and they cancel that flight and gave her alternative flight with 2 stops.Not cool since my mom is olderly woman and not able to change so many air crafts.
Late flight, missed connection, lost luggage

Fordele: Good polite service in English as well as other languages
Ulemper: Poor weather in Denver delayed takeoff. Maybe 200 ppl missed a connection, then stood for 2h in line to get rebooked.
Ulemper: Arm rest in coach are unable to go in full upright position making it impossible for small children to sleep in you lap
Fordele: Attentive crew, kept up to date with a (very minor) delay, comfy seats, cabin a good temperature, food was nice
Ulemper: Did not like their website. Could not login or even find my flight info. Wanted to get seat assignment earlier than they would allow.
Ulemper: I could not check in online. In fact, neither the Swiss Air nor Edelweiss web pages even listed a flight from Calgary to Zurich. This was very frustrating and worrying. I could neither get a boarding pass nor select a seat. Fortunately, everything at the airport was fine.

TRAVEL BY AIR IS A NECESSARY EVIL
Fordele: No other way to get there in 10 hours The on crew are very nice.
Ulemper: Air travel is the most uncomfortable way to travel and airlines are working to make it worse ...according to news reports. On board: Cramped in too tight especially for a 10 hour flight. You have to be athletic to eat from the tray table. Though only 5ft 8in, I had no knee room, -especially when the person in front lowered his seat. Airport terminals inconvenient: Frankfurt AM and Zurich were lacking in people movers which made getting from one gate to the next a severe pain. I am not looking forward to traveling through either of these airports in the future... though others are just as bad.
Fordele: service was polite & good.
meals seemed good quality - I had forgotten to order a special meal to accommodate my food allergies so I brought my own food and didn't actually eat on the plane, but it looked & smelled good!
Ulemper: There were too many announcements, especially in the first few hours of the flight - constant interruptions, at one point the pilot came on and told us how much the plane weighed when we took off...... had to tell us in multiple languages, so it took a few minutes. Very cramped in economy class - I'm 5'6" - not so tall.... and when the seat in front of me reclined, it was touching my knees. For the whole 13+ hour flight it was ON my knees! It was uncomfortable and made it very hard to get in and out of my seat.
Fordele: Great customer service!
Ulemper: The panic of a 50 minute layover was huge and there was no room for error. Everything else went smoothly!

Fordele: Traveling with kids is always uncertain but the crew were very friendly, the entertainment system was more than enough to keep them busy during the 12 hour flight
Ulemper: Late boarding, ended up arriving 3 hours late.
Return Flight to USA
Fordele: For our return flight home from Cyprus, though we went on line to select our seats as we had been told, we were not allowed to do so. We were 5 passengers in my family and were put on the very last seats. When we asked at the airport in Zurich if we could be switched to different seats they told us that we had to pay a significant amount per person to do so. Therefore there were extra seats available. The people were also not the friendliest.
Ulemper: My experience with Swiss Air was poor from the very start. I purchased 5 tickets for this trip for my family. Our flight from USA to Cyprus on July 13 was cancelled. We had to take an extra day off from work and leave on July 12. Our flight back home from Cyprus July 28, was changed to 5:00am from 11:25am. Therefore we had to get a taxi at 2:00am for the airport. Instead of trying to make it up to us by giving us at least good seats, they punished us further and gave us the worst seats possible. That showed no curtesy whatsoever. Very disappointed:( I thought Swiss Air had higher standards than that.
Great service and easy travel!
Fordele: Loved the food, the comfort, the movies and the staff. They took EXCELLENT care of my bike, which I traveled with, and they we traveled safely to Switzerland!
Ulemper: Traveling with a bike was a bit unclear. I paid $90 for traveling with my bike, which was fine, I just wish it was more clear leading up to it cause I thought it would be $75.

Ulemper: Late take off. Delayed landing due to heavy air traffic around Zurich. Bus transfers to the terminal.
Fordele: All of the Cabin attendant have served with smile.
Ulemper: I wanted to have coffee and tea service not only with tthe meal and also after the meal . More selection of Movies would be nice.
Ulemper: The airport was very crowded and no room to sit at our gate
Nice airline with above average service
Ulemper: Seats in economy could be more comfortable, especially for long haul flights. After my 7+ hour flight from Zurich to Boston, I was very sore.
Fordele: excellent food and service. Very nice to have video monitors with many choices for entertainment. efficient boarding and off boarding.
Ulemper: seats were not very comfortable but you can always upgrade
Fordele: Staff was very friendly. Food was quite good compared to food on other airlines. Interesting documentaries among entertainment. Headphones, pillows and blankets without additional charge. Pilot kept passengers informed about the delay.
Ulemper: Seating is very tight just like with other carriers.
Fordele: It looked like the plane was very new. The seats were extremely comfortable, enough room for long legs, the back was well designed for comfort. the plane was very clean, the crew was absolutely great and they seemed to work well together.
I was so surprised to have all that lovely food and soft drinks available for no charge.. I plan to use Edelweiss again. I had to have a wheel chair and never had to wait for one. The persons pushing the chairs were very friendly and helpful and I was greatful to have themi.
Ulemper: There were a lot of children on the plane, children running in the isles and using outside voices.. The crew, of course,did what they could.
Fordele: Great food.
Ulemper: 1 hour late departure. The plane felt very shaky.
