Fordele: Easy flight, and boarded in the front and back of the plane. Made it easier and faster to get on.
Ulemper: They aren’t too clear in baggage charges. I got standard fare, but still had to pay for my checked bag for both ways.
Fordele: Comfortable

Fordele: The crew was nice, however, they also give varying information. We had frequent flier tickets and when I checked in, the screen stated no extra charge for check in bags and I also called the customer service. When I got to the airport in Hamburg, they wanted to charge me $100 for a bag. I asked the lady behind the counter to call the main office because she said she has no authority to change the fee. I called the main office and had the person in office tell the agent at the airport that it is a mistake and that there is no charge.
Ulemper: Better communication between all aspects of the company.
Fordele: My seat cushion was out of alignment so not great. But I like the two side seat configuration.
Ulemper: Boarding is a zoo. Board by row. It’s faster.
Fordele: I liked the northern lights look after boarding upon introduction of the captain and crew members. Everyone was super personal and uninformed looked great. The best part was when they started boarding from the last row, which is the most logical and efficient way to do it
Fordele: Icelandair crew were very hospitable and accompodating
Ulemper: I have never sat in such a narrow seat. Literally could not put my hand down the side to pull out my seat belt. Two days later I still have sores from where the side of the seats hit my hips.
Did not even provide complimentary peanuts.
Fordele: Fast boarding and on time
Fordele: That I got to visit a place as mystical as Iceland for such a low and affordable flight. My departure flight with Iceland Air was on time and although the return was a bit tardy the company did an excellent job with being transparent.
Ulemper: The flight crew could have been a bit more polite

Food on board was awful. Ordered hamburger but not availabe having already pre paid. Pizza was poor quality and had no taste. Range of food disappointing
Ulemper: Took far too long for drinks service into the flight. Almost 2 hours in before drinks came around to me
Fordele: Love the 757 fleet of Icelandair. Professional crew.
Ulemper: Every flight was late and no effort to do anything about it. Flying in the mid 400’s turned a 1hr 40min layover into a run for the connection. Far be it to use more fuel to deliver on your schedule. I’ve been on too many flights where the pilot found the gas pedal to make up for things on the ground to not think this is Icelandair policy and therefore will have a good chance of happening to me again with them.

Ulemper: I was surprise that we were given food (i.e. sandwich) and blanket on the way to Iceland flight 614, but not on the way from Iceland flight 615. Still don't understand why

Ulemper: Cabin was a little to warm.
Ulemper: No internet as described. Little leg room. Small seats
Fordele: The crew was friendly, the planes clean, flights on time. The blankets were a very nice touch.
Ulemper: On my first flight, I paid for use of wifi, but it kept kicking me off the connection. Repeatedly, the entire time. On the second flight, there was no option for wifi at all. It would have been nice to pay for wifi once for use all the way to my destination.

Ulemper: Not enough room, way too crowded, all food is charged, entertainment content is pre-historic. A lot of room for improvement for the price you pay

Ulemper: If the flight actually left! It was canceled for a reason that was not given. I was rebooked the next day on another airline. Lost a whole day.
Fordele: On time. Good entertainment.
Ulemper: No free food, limited beverage service, pushy crew.
Fordele: Was on time.
Ulemper: Unreasonable TSA procedures in Iceland. Waste of time and precluded any time to get food or use the bathroom.
Fordele: Crew was great, everything was timely and efficient.
Ulemper: Even the layover was good. Seeing the northern lights from.the plane was spectacular

Fordele: Long flight, the pillows and heavier blankets were a nice welcome. Pretty empty flight on the way to Iceland so everyone was allowed to stretch out.
Fordele: Everything was on time, crew was professional, flight was really pleasant
Ulemper: Boarding was really uncomfortable - line starts at one floor and then you have to slowly climb the stairs one step at a time while holding your carry on bag. Line move slowly because of required security questioning at the gate. It’s an absolutely normal procedure and staff was really nice, but stairs - that’s what make your experience unpleasant.
Fordele: The getting Paris France with no delay was great! The crews where nice and the check in with quick.
Ulemper: If the airline can offer more food selections for customers who fly on economy class that would of been a plus.
Fordele: I’m a fan of Icelandair. We have only done the Saga Upgrade so I cannot speak to economy. Food is great, seats are comfy, and entertainment is great.
Ulemper: I don’t really know what happened but it was over an hour for us to get our bags afterward at SFO which caused us to miss our connecting flight to LAX, so we had to wait until next day to fly. This was also the busiest travel day of the year and storms everywhere so likely out of their control. Not the hugest deal but was harder to get on connecting flight since Icelandair doesn’t have a ticket counter at SFO. Would never prevent me from flying with them again, I always have issues at SFO so avoid that airport altogether anyways- will try to go around going through there on our next iceland trip!

Ulemper: I think the airline should offer something to eat on these long flights. For example, a small sandwich & a drink.
Ulemper: They need to check the tv screens. On two different IcelandAir planes my screen wasn't working.
Ulemper: Terrible meal options for an overseas flight. Discount airline-style buy your own meals not clear when purchasing ticket, poor drink service. Poor entertainment options. Ticket price did not reflect bare basics discount airline class of flight and service. Very disappointing.
Fordele: Everything, very nice crew . Just gave you the feeling you were in good hands . Would highly recommend Iceland air.

Ulemper: You have to pay for your food. What’s up with that?
Ulemper: It wasn't at all clear that checked baggage was not included. This added a surprise extra hundreds of dollars to our trip.
But the flight itself was fine, seats were too close when reclined, but everything was on time and efficient.
Fordele: The crew was so awesome. The food was awesome. Please note that we were in Saga Club so I am not speaking to economy.

Fordele: Great aisle seat on a modern plane.I was in the middle seat on an older plane for the trip there (close to 8 hours), and it wasn’t as comfortable. The trip from Reykjavík to Seattle was great: comfortable seat and more room, though they were both in the same fare class.

Ulemper: The seats are too hard to sit in for more than an hour or two, and would sometimes not stay reclined. There were no free snacks or food, and it was a five hour flight.
Fordele: Crew was pleasant, flight was excellent, boarding was smooth, LOVED water upon arrival on plane
Ulemper: Seats were uncomfortable, provide herbal/decaf hot tea, dried fruit snacks, BETTER SEATS, More plush maybe lumbar support, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, minimal air circulation
Fordele: They had a pillow and blanket in my seat for my overnight flight and offered a full bottle of water upon boarding.
Ulemper: My TV didn’t work - long flight to have no screen access.
Fordele: The price
Ulemper: Have a bigger airport in Reykjavik. Being bussed between connections is not efficient or comfortable and leaves little time in the layover portion of the journey.
Fordele: Crew was great and seat comfortable except my entertainment system wasn’t working. But the crew member offered me a different seat.
Ulemper: They forgot our vegetarian meal requests on both flights. Few drinks. Old movies.
Fordele: The crew was very attentive. They constantly made sure we were hydrated and comfortable.
Fordele: The overall experience was okay, no food service and seats were not super comfy.
Ulemper: More leg space for a long flight and free snacks.
