Ulemper: Seat pitch is low for anyone who is tall. Even though you pay extra money for rows 6-12 you end up boarding last.

Ulemper: We were delay for 2 hours, no communication, no apology or compensation.

Fordele: The aircraft arrived late but the crew did an excellent job to turn the aircraft around fast and we ended up being early into Denpasar. Well done!
Ulemper: Not much to be honest? I value on time departures and this crew did everything they could to get back onto schedule.

Fordele: AirAsia is a crooked airline. We had to pay Singapore$120 to check in two pieces of cabin luggage at the airport because we HONESTLY declared they were over 7kg each. On board the aircraft most passengers had cabin luggage which most definitely exceeded 7kg. NEVER again AirAsia.
Ulemper: Stop overcharging for every f...g thing if not booked ahead. Add it all up a regular airline is cheaper. Dont abuse your network and schedule. You will never get be back to fly you.
Decent for a short domestic flight
Fordele: The airline was okay and pretty much on time. I think they are one of the safest to travel on in Indonesia after Garuda Indonesia.
Ulemper: Super old aircraft, it was very dirty including the seats and tray table. I didnt feel like touching it. There was no entertainment whatsoever.
Fordele: Again Delayed
Ulemper: Missed appointment delayed as usual

Ulemper: 2.5 hour delay. Not worth it.
Ulemper: I didn’t think there was an airline worse than the budget U.S. domestic carriers until I found AirAsia. Not worth even the low cost. I had a horrible check-in experience at both airports I flew from with them, charged for every little thing, no in-flight entertainment, and the flight crew was yelling at the passengers. Never again!
No flight, no confirmation
Ulemper: It would have been great to have a confirmation that you received our request before the day of departure. We thought the booking did not get through so we booked another company. We ended up losing the money for that ticket. We could not reach kayak and AirAsia, in their policy doesn’t cancel anything. I don’t know who was supposed to send us the confirmation but the money is gone
Met all my expectations
Fordele: Plane was very clean and crew professional. I thought we would be late leaving, but ground crew turned plane around quickly in Bandung.
Ulemper: Book your extras before the flight. 20kg bag for $15 and package lunch for about $6. It cost about $50 to add a bag at the airport.
Ulemper: I got stuck in traffic and missed my flight from lAX to Singapore, so I called Kiwi right away, and they wouldn’t rebook me. If there is anyway you can help I would appreciate it so much!!!
Overpriced overhyped airline
Fordele: It arrived on time
Ulemper: Very snel legroom, no included food, no free water, no inflight entertainment
Fordele: Price and clean plane.
Ulemper: Baggage fees
Ulemper: You booked us a flight with only an hour layover in Singapore. I feel you should have known that changing airlines in Singapore requires a 3 hour layover as you must claim your baggage at the baggage claim, go through customs, change terminals, re-check your bag and then go through security again. All this being said we missed our flight and had to purchase new tickets! What are you going to do to make this up to us as it’s our honeymoon?
Narrow seats, expensive and uncomfortable
Fordele: We survived the flight with only a little backpain and one stiff butt cheek
Ulemper: No legroom, very narrow seating, no meal, expensive
Flight delayed for 4 hours
Ulemper: Flight delayed 4 times until 4 hours from the original flight time.
Fordele: Meals are delicious although not all items were available without prebooking.
Ulemper: It was very cold during the flight. No blankets available - only for sale.
The flight is ok, the service is ok, the delays haven’t improved

Ulemper: Checked in 2.5 hrs early and my reward was they left my bag in Denpasar while I went on to Kuala Lumpur!

Ulemper: Not specifically to do with Air Asia - but the very long queue going through immigration at Denpasar could be improved dramatically

Fordele: Crews are quite friendly
Ulemper: Certain Crew is unable to do simple math calculation even though she is using calculator. I was purchasing food and gave Malaysian Ringgit, little that I know, the change is given in Rupiah and the amount was wrong, it was short of 55,000. Luckily I did a little math calculation my own, and find that she was over-charging too much for the food. Realizing that particular crew can't calculate, I offer to pay using Rupiah, she rejected it and gave me back the proper change. The exchange rate on board is absurd!!! I suggest use local currency if anyone would do onboard purchasing on AirAsia.
On time without a hitch
Fordele: We boarded and landed on-time without a hitch. I didn't prepaid or order any food but it did smell good.
Ulemper: No entertainment on the aircraft.
Ulemper: Never flew due to volcano - fair enough. But communication from the airline was utterly non-existent, as was any kind of service and support for rescheduling etc. Confusing messages on their website and refusal to fly despite other airlines having no issue - because they didn't want to pay parking rates at AU airports. Air Asia ruined my holiday far more than Mt Agung.
Ulemper: It is like riding a bus except bus would allow you bags free of cost. No entertainment. Food and water only if you pay. Had to pay for bags also and it is not a small amount. Sucha ripoff.

Fordele: Friendly staffs - both on the Fllight as well as the Ground Staffs.
Ulemper: I cannot think of any
Ulemper: it was late, quality of experience was poor- from predeparture to landing
Fordele: Very friendly.
Fordele: Easy check in and boarding. On-time flight.
Ulemper: I paid extra for premium seat, but still legroom is painfully lacking.The unlocked cockpit, and the casual movement of cabin crew in and out of the cockpit, made me nervous in this error of terrorism.
favorite discount airline
Fordele: AirAsia is probably my favorite discount airline, but that means by definition an acceptable but no frills experience. Got that at a relatively attractive price
Ulemper: The on-board sales cart did not have finger puppets, which I wanted to buy for some children.

45 minutes boarding time late with no reason

Ulemper: The aircraft had been in the ground but boarding 45 minutes late, I saw steward, stewardess and copilot chat in front of toilet :|

Ulemper: Flight was badly delayed and retimed 3 times. Ended up we wasted a whole day. No reason was given.

Ulemper: We almost missed the flight as the boarding gate was changed at the last minute and the announcement was very late. That is very scary!
