Fordele: I did not use this flight
Ulemper: This flight was one of my flights going back to LA from Japan. But They canceled the flight suddenly and so my whole trip was cancelled without notifications and booked me on other flights (which was scheduled 2days later) but I didn’t receive any call or emails or anything. I bought this tickets through KAYAK (budget air) and Even kayak (budget air)did not send any emails or notifications. Budget air account page showed I didn’t have any flights in the future and that was really confusing. I noticed this cancellation on the day I was supposed to leave. I actually think notifying customers regarding flight cancellation or changes was KAYAK’s (budget air) responsibility because I bout tickets through them and they knew the flight changes. I found out the flight operating by Jet star was cancelled by myself and called customer center. Jetstar customer Center call charges expensive but always busy and they make you wait so long with charging. I was able to manage my trip eventually but this experience was very frustrating. the airflight company and this KAYAK should work more cooperatively for customers.
Fordele: Ticket price was cheap.
Ulemper: Offer same price for check-in luggage at counter as when booking. Super long lines to check in, open service desk earlier.

Ulemper: Offer at least water for free. Provide something to entertain people. A lot of turbulence that seem to be manageable but it was not at the time.
Fordele: Extra legroom in the emergency exit row
Ulemper: Couldn’t recline my seat
Ulemper: I paid $170 for the ticket then at the counter they tell me to pay $240 for the baggage worst customer service 2 hours late, no water just bad, really bad
Ulemper: At narita airport to go through security if you are going to want any food. There is one small concession that doesnt have much of anything.
Fordele: Polite crew

Ulemper: Not charging $45 for carry-ons over 7kg
Fordele: Flight was quick.
Ulemper: The seating was uncomfortable.
Fordele: Staff processed us through quickly

Ulemper: increase the thickness of the lower back of the seat.
Fordele: I felt nice! I love it.
Ulemper: Beter services.
Fordele: Clean new plane.
Ulemper: Need to sell alcohol onboard.
Fordele: Horrible flight, worst flight of my life.
Ulemper: Crew was horrible; can’t speak English, rude, have no idea how to treat customers.
Ulemper: The flight wasn’t on time and overly turbulent. Very nice staff
Ulemper: Almost one hour late in take off.
Fordele: I booked an round flight ticket but when I went to get on the return flight jet star didn’t have my booking
Ulemper: There wasn’t a lot of room at the gate, but that’s not really a complaint. Everything was very smooth and efficient.
Ulemper: Checkin process a mess, held passengers bag for lithium batteries when they had been taken out already, happened to 4 different passengers. Arbitrary enforcement of luggage rules and 7kg for total carryon is ridiculous. Not worth the hassle for any cost.
Fordele: Not much
Ulemper: Completely disorganized, inconsistent and policies oddly enforced. My carryon which was ok to bring to Tokyo was flagged saying it was too large. Carryons total weight limitation was 7kg including everything you are carrying which was enforced arbitrary. Little common sense used.
Fordele: The leg space
Ulemper: Free water or tea
Fordele: Best cabin crew of several recent flights worldwide. Excellent blend of steely determination to get the regulatory and safety job done, with an exceptionally gentle smiling presentation. Jetstar should be proud of that particular crew. Best ever iron fist in velvet glove.
Ulemper: Just be aware that extra legroom on emergency exit rows, comes at the cost of non-reclining seat.
Fordele: The seats on the plane
Ulemper: The representative was making an announcement in Japanese. I approached the representative to ask what was said. I wasn’t acknowledged in any way. Didn’t look up and say anything. So I asked her in my raised voice as she was walking away and that’s when she said one minute. I thought it was very rud
Fordele: It's a budget airline. There was nothing remarkable (one way or the other).
Ulemper: When I asked for something the crew responds
Fordele: It was very affordable
Ulemper: The prices for the luggage’s were very high and you could only take 7 kg as a carry on and no luggage’s, and it costs me 140,000 yen and my friend 250000 yen to check in luggage’s which is more than taking the train or the regular airlines.
Fordele: Seats were comfy. Cabin crew were very friendly.
Ulemper: Checkin was a nightmare. Almost 2 hours in line just to drop baggage and complete checkin .
Fordele: Everyone was nice and the trip was great.
Ulemper: The person making the announcements was saying the English parts very fast and it was hard to understand them. For the first time ever while flying I felt that I could not understand what was being said.
Fordele: That the flight was not cancelled.
Ulemper: I know that flight delays are unplanned events but, i this flight delay has ruined my plans for my weekend in Nagoya.
Ulemper: Jetstar system was down and could not check in online. The line up to get boarding pass was long and it did delay the flight by an hour.
Fordele: The flight was so swift and relaxing, check in was also a very easy stress-free process.
Fordele: crews at the counter were horrible and the flight was delayed

Ulemper: Provide at least water

Ulemper: Flight was delayed missed connection. Took very long time for oversized luggage.
Ulemper: It ended up being cheaper and way more comfortable to take the train. Train was amazing highly recommend. Wifi was on fleek seats way bigger
Fordele: Price was ok, but they then charge you for every little thing.
Ulemper: They would make long announcements in Japanese, most of the time followed by a 2-word translation in English, if they translated at all. We brought drinks on the plane which were then taken by the crew before takeoff. Seats were very uncomfortable and I could feel the knees of the person behind me.
Fordele: Crew did their jobs well.
Ulemper: Jetstar shouldn’t have a printout saying BOARDING PASS when it’s not the boarding pass. Also the whole idea of showing your ticket once you m have entered the plane right after you have shown your ticket to get on the plane makes no sense.
Ulemper: I wasted my money
Ulemper: Be more compassionate to your passenger specially when connecting flight lost their luggage
Ulemper: Checking process was horrible. Had to wait in 4 seperate lines
Fordele: It was all good except baggage policy.
Ulemper: Not paying more for the baggage than the ticket.
Fantastic budget airline
Fordele: Although the rows are close, I had plenty of room to my sides because the plane wasn’t full
Ulemper: The rows are super close. And there is no entertainment at all.
Ulemper: The flight attendants never asked me if I wanted a meal, beverage or snack. Very rude and unprofessional. I had my purse and wallet on my lap. I was seated in the aisle seat. The male flight attendant helps the passenger sitting in the window seat and completely ignored me.
Fordele: Nothing, the flight was terrible the whole time
Ulemper: Everything, the pilot could not even keep the plane straight

Ulemper: Had no leg room. I am tall though so it happens
Fordele: Very speedy boarding process. The whole plane was on in about 12 minutes.
Ulemper: Seats are super close to the seat in front of you. It is a newer plane and didn’t have any charging ports.
Fordele: I was able to use the kiosk to get boarding passes early.
Ulemper: I didn't like that I couldn't check my bags in when i arrived. What's the point of being early if you can't accomplish all tasks.
Good for a quick trip
Fordele: I like to travel light so the 7 kg weight is not an issue for me
Fordele: The on board staff were very helpful and pleasant!
Ulemper: We were allowed a carry on bag on our way to Narita. On the way back to Okinawa, they said it was too large (by 1”!) and we had to pay to check it. The flight was not full and there was a great deal of empty space in the overhead bins. I was not happy about this.

Fordele: The flight from Manila to Kansai was ok.
Ulemper: Many things. Extra luggage I’ve paid for wasn’t registered when we checked. Also, Kix and Narita didn’t allow our stroller that is IATA certified to be on hand carry even if it was allowed in our flight outside of Manila.
Ulemper: No pillows on the flight, nothing to eat, was a delay on the flight
Fordele: Feel asleep immediately and woke up upon arrival. Efficient and smooth journey.
