Fordele: The ground crew and flight crew were great.
Ulemper: Would have appreciated easier steps (lower risers) for boarding. Arthritic knee makes it hard for me to manage the high risers between steps. Also having armrests would have made the flight more comfortable.
Fordele: I loved the small craft and easy boarding.
Ulemper: Flight is a little slower with a smaller plane, but that was expected.

No Frills No Stress Point A to Point B
Fordele: Exactly what I needed, decently priced flight to save hours of drive-time and minimal headache. Yep - smaller plane, smaller airport but anyone not knowing that will be shocked by many other facts in life. Friendly staffers on sire as well as in the cockpit. Well pleased!
Quick, easy flight
Fordele: No long lines. Easy to talk with pilots. If you make it, your baggage will make it!
Ulemper: Small plane is a little more subject to bumps and turbulence.
Beware of Southern Airlines
Ulemper: They cancelled my flight for no reason at all.
Shame on Southern Airways
Fordele: I was so upset, tired of being lied to and running through airports to make a connecting flight, I can't think of anything I liked.
Ulemper: Since I bought my tickets through Kayak, when my flight was canceled the night before I was to leave, it took Hours to get the ticket problem straightened out with me on an earlier flight. I was called back by Kayak minutes after I finally got off the phone to be told That flight was now canceled. Another hour on the phone to get to a 3rd flight arranged. I arrived early and saw everyone sitting around, went to the counter to be told this flight was now delayed. Also was told that the EARLIER Flight I had been changed to, Went off on Time! So I was Lied to. Waited hours as they moved the departure time 4 times! Went through an agonizing security search. Took an hour in a freezing plane to get to Pittsburgh. Missed my flight OF Course and had to pay money for a ticket change and go stand by, barely getting on a connecting flight. I call it the Travel Day From Hell!!!
Great service and friendly people
Fordele: Not being a person that likes flying this was the coolest experience I ever had. All I had on my mined was to get to Pittsburgh to see my daughter. Didn't know what to expect when I got to Lancaster but it was really easy. I'm going to do it again. Hour and a half plan ride is better then 15 hour drive
Ulemper: Really can't think of anything. I should up 2 hours early to figure out what I need to do and everyone from southern airlines and the TSA took care of everything.
Ulemper: Return flight home was cancelled and not communicated. Poor customer service to find out about a refund. Never flying with southern again.
Ulemper: The flight never occurred and wasn't told.
BEWARE of Southern Airways Express! DO NOT FLY
Fordele: Absolutely nothing.
Ulemper: I had this airline booked several times (4 flights to be exact) and every. single. time. the flight was either cancelled or changed in some way. In the first instance, the second leg was moved three hours ahead, causing the second leg to depart before the first one, so I had to cancel it. In the second, the first leg was moved three hours before the initial departure time, and I had to cancel it due to scheduling issues. The third time I tried to take this airline, the first leg was cancelled completely and in turn my return flight was also cancelled. Each time, they informed be THE NIGHT BEFORE the flight was supposed to leave that it was either cancelled or modified. Had I not booked all four of these flights at once months in advance, I wouldn't have booked it again after the first instance. Do you know how expensive it is to find alternate transportation THE NIGHT BEFORE you are trying to travel? I will never attempt to fly this airline again. They have a lot of work to do to gain the trust of their passengers and they are not doing it right by any means in my opinion.

Fordele: Absolutely nothing!
Ulemper: I never even took the flight - the layover was moved ahead by two hours THE DAY OF THE FLIGHT causing me to cancel my flight, since the layover was then leaving before my first flight even took off! At that time, alternate flights were >$250 one way and I HAD to be at my destination the next day for a wedding. Southern Airways caused me hours of time spent planning and additional money to find alternate transportation. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND -- I am never flying with this airline again!

Southern Airways is Incompetent
Fordele: The price of the ticket was very reasonable.
Ulemper: I traveled with a colleague from Dulles to Morgantown. Three issues arose: 1. We could not find the ticket counter at Dulles, and no one we asked knew where it was. This could easily be resolved by adding info about how to find the counter to the airline website. 2. My colleague's return flight was canceled and she was never notified. 3. When I went to check in for my return flight, I was told that I was not on the boarding list. It took 30 minutes to get me added to the list even though I had my confirmation. When I asked for an explanation the man at the ticket counter shared: "They're crazy [the customer service]. This happens all the time." Complete incompetence.
Flight cancelled at last minute, had to rent a car $$$$$$$
Fordele: Great Crew, very pleasant. It was nice to be away from all the frustrations common in the main airports and to get to wait with my family right up to boarding time.
Ulemper: The plane left over 4 hours after departure time. It also took a while to figure out that this airline is not based within the main airport (at both DFW and MEM airports at least) and the address for the actual boarding place was not included in any communication prior to the flight. No compensation for inconveniences caused.
Easy and inexpensive flight
Fordele: Everyone was super friendly
Ulemper: I was the only person on the flight. That was kinda weird. But it was a smooth, easy flight and I would definitely use them again.
Fordele: I just loved Southern. It was so easy. I avoided the hassle of the main airport, the parking problems and the waiting in line. Everyone was so friendly. I will definitely fly Southern again!
Fordele: The crew was nice and comforting. I was nervous because it was my first time on a 9 seater plane but the ride was surprisingly smooth
Never even got on the plane
Ulemper: I never even ended up on the plane. The departure time came and went with no communication from the desk agents I was sitting 10 feet away from. No communication about the flight being delayed was given until I asked. It was 3 hours later when they unceremoniously cancelled the flight. And because it was weather-related I didn't receive any of my money back. Worst travel day ever.

Fordele: Præcis, hvad jeg havde brug for, prisvenligt fly for at spare timevis af køretid og minimal hovedpine. YEP - mindre fly, mindre lufthavn, men alle, der ikke ved det, vil blive chokeret over mange andre kendsgerninger i livet. Venlige medarbejdere på side såvel som i cockpittet. Godt tilfreds!
Hurtig, nem fly

Ulemper: Lille fly er en smule mere afhængig af buler og turbulens.

Ulemper: De aflyste mit fly til ingen grund til alle.
Fantastisk service og venlige mennesker
Fordele: Ikke at være en person, der kan lide at flyve dette var den sejeste oplevelse, jeg nogensinde har haft. Alt, hvad jeg havde på mine miner, var at komme til Pittsburgh for at se min datter. Vidste ikke, hvad jeg kunne forvente, da jeg kom til Lancaster, men det var virkelig nemt. Jeg vil gøre det igen. En tur på time og en halv plan er bedre end 15 timers kørsel

Ulemper: Fly hjem var aflyst, og ikke videregivet. Dårlig kundeservice for at høre om en tilbagebetaling. Aldrig har vi fløj med det sydlige igen.

Ulemper: Jeg tog aldrig en gang flyet - layover blev flyttet to timer I forvejen PÅ DAGEN FOR FLYVNINGEN, hvilket fik mig til at aflyse mit fly, da layover så forlod mig før min første afgang, selv om jeg tog af sted! På det tidspunkt var alternative fly > $250 én vej, og jeg VAR NØDT til at være på min destination den næste dag for et bryllup. Southern Airways fik mig til at bruge tid på planlægning og ekstra penge på at finde alternativ transport. Ville IKKE ANBEFALE det - jeg flyver aldrig med dette flyselskab igen!

Fordele: Fantastisk mandskab, meget behageligt. Det var rart at være væk fra alle de frustrationer, der er almindelige i de største lufthavne, og at komme til at vente med min familie helt op til boarding tid.
Ulemper: Flyet er efterladt mere end 4 timer efter afgangstidspunktet. Det tog også et stykke tid at finde ud af, at dette flyselskab ikke er baseret i hovedlufthavnen (i det mindste i DFW- og MEM-lufthavne), og adressen på det faktiske boardingsted var ikke inkluderet i nogen kommunikation før flyvningen. Ingen kompensation for ulemper forårsaget.
Nem og billig flyrejse
Fordele: Alle var super venlige
Ulemper: Jeg var den eneste person på flyet. Det var lidt mærkeligt. Men det var et glat, nemt fly, og jeg vil helt sikkert bruge dem igen.
Fordele: Jeg elskede bare Southern. Det var så nemt. Jeg undgik besværet med hovedlufthavnen, parkeringsproblemerne og ventetiden i kø. Alle var så venlige. Jeg vil helt sikkert flyve sydpå igen!

Aldrig kommet på flyet
Ulemper: Jeg endte aldrig med at stå på flyet. Afrejsetidspunktet kom og gik uden kommunikation fra de skrivebordsagenter, jeg sad 10 meter væk fra. Der blev ikke givet nogen meddelelse om, at flyafgangen blev forsinket, før jeg spurgte. Det var 3 timer senere, da de uhøjtideligt aflyste flyvningen. Og fordi det var vejrrelateret, modtog jeg ikke nogen af mine penge tilbage. Værste rejsedag nogensinde.
