Ulemper: We changed planes in Calgary, and we could have used better signage. Half of our flight got lost and ended up in the wrong gate. We all had to quickly backtrack. Thankfully we had enough time, but if our next flight had been earlier, we could have lost our connection.
Fordele: Professional, but friendly crew.
Fordele: Travelers well spaced out
Ulemper: Nothing given the current circumstances.
Ulemper: They closed the check in counter early. No kiosk check in was available. No one was in their airport office and neither we, nor airport staff, were able to reach them via the onsite contact info provided. As a result we missed our flight.
Fordele: Brian at the desk in ft Lauderdale was fabulous great personality pleasant smile just delightful
Ulemper: I was not on this flight as a mistake was made by either Kayak or WestJet. I was not refunded my money which I think is unfair.
Ulemper: Some sort of entertainment. More comfortable seats.
Fordele: It was on time and not overbooked
Ulemper: Nothing it was economy
Fordele: seat was the worse, but ok overall

Ulemper: west jet customer service reps in mobay are no good. they need customer service training
Fordele: the flight crew made our flight very comfortable and pleasant. One flight attendant ( didn't spot her name) had such a gentle sense of humour while serving us-it was nice. Flight attendants at times seem like strict teachers - so it was nice to smile and laugh - especially now with such fear of flying due to COVID-19
Ulemper: Boarding process could be a little smoother and less frantic

Ulemper: More information about when to check-in and seat selection. We checked-in 24 hours before, and most seats were already filled.
Ulemper: It was a little hot in there
Fordele: It is a no frills airline. Cabin crew were friendly.
Ulemper: No entertainment, no food
Fordele: Good crew.
Fordele: Very little
Ulemper: Rough weather. Stopped delivering water and snacks. Seat belt off and no attempt to continue water and snacks for 20 minutes. Then started back at front again to those who had already been served once. When got to me no snacks offered. Had to ask.
Fordele: The crew members were professional.
Ulemper: The seats could be better
Ulemper: The first flight was late because the personnel was forgotten at their hotel. My luggage was lost’

Ulemper: We paid for transportation to cancun and it didn’t happen. We hope there will be compensation for the lost day. So disappointing.
Fordele: Gate crew was informative but the news they had to give us was extremely disappointing!!
Ulemper: It would have been better had the flight left for Calgary so we wouldn’t have missed our connection to Cancun and then had to drive to Vancouver and spend the night in a hotel and leave the next day ultimately loosing an entire day of our planned holiday.

Fordele: Everything was great, very little turbulence and the crew was great!
Ulemper: The only complaint I have are the little little flaps on the head rest. You can adjust them to rest your head unfortunately my wasn’t able to hold my head in place.
Ulemper: There was absolutely nothing "first class" about this flight. Cramped seats, baggage fees, terrible boarding procedures... I've experienced better service on economy flights. Never again with Delta/Westjet.

Fordele: when you enter Canada and then travel through YVR for another flight it is a total waste. Not the fault of the airline but the way they do things with security

Ulemper: Announcements are delivered with too much speed and lack connection with passengers.
Ulemper: Aka was happy with westjet
Fordele: Crew did the best they could under the conditions
Ulemper: There was a broken toilet that was very loud and created long line ups because economy only had use of the 1 bathroom while the first class had 2 bathrooms for so few people
Fordele: Crew was amazing, personable,joked around. I though boarding would take forever but very smooth.
Ulemper: Honestly...being stuffed in like sardines ....it is getting worse. maybe the older I get the more I see it....but its so uncomfortable. I think the old days were much better!
Fordele: Departed early, landed early! Direct flight.
Ulemper: Sound at my seat did not work so couldn’t watch a movie. (Well, could watch but not hear). Short flight. Not a problem.
Fordele: Very efficient boarding and great crew!!
I just needed to voice my dissatisfaction with this fight. I’m not sure if every Westjet flight I was lucky and had amazing crew members or if the staff on this flight was having a bad flight. Our flight was delayed by 75min. The flight crew did not attend to any requests from the customers for the 75min we were on the tarmac. I asked for headphones and the crew member look agitated I asked made a remark about how nobody buys them so she didn’t know how much they are. She said she would come back with the price, and did not. I had to wait for the beverage cart and then order them again. Then I asked for an additional can of ginger ale. The gentleman said he’ll need to come back (as he was cleaning the garbage). He never came back. I had to hit the assistance button again and got the original woman. Once again agitated and when I asked she said to wait for the beverage cart again. After another 10-15min they started the beverage service again.
On previous flights there were delays, shorter like 30min westjet crew members gave free headphones. And those are the kind of experiences I’ve come to expect from westjet. Not the free aspect but flight crew that care about the customers. The entire crew on this flight was agitated and annoyed from boarding and it definitely showed. Small things like even a smile or even sorry everyone, would’ve gone a long way. But when the crew doesn’t care the flight gets 10x longer, and when the flight is already delayed by 25% of the flight duration it comes to a point where you’re counting down the seconds to get out. The delay was unfortunate and out of the control of the company and crew but that doesn’t mean the crew couldn’t still make it into a memorable experience for the guests.

Fordele: The crew was fine
Ulemper: the checked luggage took over an hour to arrive at the carousel. ZERO communication. Other flights arrived after ours and all their baggage arrived and they all left while we stood. No information. No explanation. Poor
Fordele: The flight wasn’t full, and we travelled with a lap infant - we really appreciated that they blocked off row for us.
Ulemper: The food is a scam. It’s overpriced, made poorly, and it’s the only option if you didn’t pack anything onto the plane with you.
Fordele: nice but slow in business class
Ulemper: More than an hour late departing.
Added to that it was almost an hour before luggage appeared. Not West Jet’s fault but it made us even later resulting in some of our long drive of our drive to Grand Canyon being in the dark.
Ulemper: the boarding process was chaotic. not enough time was allowed for zone 1 passengers. the plane was old. the inflight entertainment didn’t work. the crew was friendly though. there was no hot food but the cold selections were ok. i would expect a much better customer experience for business class passengers.
Ulemper: Nothing really.
Ulemper: Seats too narrow with little leg room.
Fordele: This was an older plane with no upgrades including no Internet and the very small poor quality Monitors in the back of the seat in front of each passenger. The seats were very uncomfortable. The transfer in Vancouver after customs involved going outside in the cold to and from the bus. There was no warning. The customs area red jacketed help personnel told us that it was just as fast to go throught the general customs are instead of using our Nexus cards and this turned out to take forever. So very disappointing.
Ulemper: Better communication at all levels. Remember that the overall strength of a chain is only as strong as its weakest link and this trip had many weak links for us making it a challenge.
Fordele: It was a huge plane, normally on my trips from Toronto to Calgary its a six seater plane. I really enjoyed it being and 11 seater per row, with more leg room, a window seat, and no one in the seat beside me! Made for a much more comfortable experience. Was not what I expected for the price I paid for it. Was very please by that.
