Fordele: Everything about Villa Yiara was excellent. If I had to choose one thing, it would be the people. Hotel employeee were lovely and so helpful, and so were the other support staff ladies. Breakfast was outstanding & more than we could eat

Ulemper: Not really. A few wall hooks or a chair in the bathroom would have been helpful to put clothes on but this was not a serious problem.

We sat out on our balcony and enjoyed the fantastic view !! Walk to heart of town is about 1.4 miles, not too bad. And the view while walking is exquisite!! Jacuzzi tub was wonderful!! Can recommend it highly!! Stay there you won’t be sorry!!

Ulemper: the hotel is a little trek from the centre, but it was worth it for some great views, and a bus is available.

Fordele: Palazzo Murat is a unique hotel in the hart of Positano. It is easy to get every wear from the hotel. Few steps from the beach. The view from the room and rest spaces of the hotel are breathtaking. The hotel is the green oasis with beautiful garden. We spend only one night in the hotel, but it was unforgettable. And It was a very nice surprise for us that hotel made a very nice room upgrade. It was very pleasant, especially it was my birthday. Thank you Palazzo Murat.

Fordele: Beautiful property. Centrally located. Great courtyard for afternoon or pre dinner drink, Al Palazzo restaurant really good.

Ulemper: Very small bathroom. Dated internal common areas and room. Loud air-conditioning.

Fordele: Centrally located. Probably the best stay in Positano. Contact them to know where to park, once you leave your car you can reach any part of Positano by foot thanks to the hotel's central location. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. The pool is also a very good add on to your stay. I highly suggest to try it.

Restaurant set in the hotel gardens was beautiful and breakfast was extremely good with waiter service. Pool area was stunning with views over the bay, pool waiter was very attentive.

Waiters Salvatore and Fernando were very friendly and accommodating during our lunch al fresco as we soaked in the views. They made us want to return for dinner again that night. Enjoyed another magical night soaking in the breathtaking views of Positano from their rooftop restaurant by night. Beautiful place to celebrate our 25th Anniversary! The music, the ambiance and the food were all perfetto!

The staff was exceptionally helpful and made us feel like important and valued guests. The concierge, Guiseppe, is one of the best I have ever met at a hotel!

Ulemper: Our shower had some problems with the temperature....it fluctuated and needed to be adjusted while showering.

Fordele: Well kept, clean and tidy. A relatively short walk to the beach, be mindful it's a walk straight down. Balcony rooms have a great view. Be sure to book a balcony for the best view, the family room is large and comfortable, but on a lower level.

Fordele: Franscesco and Luigi are the best hosts! We felt so at home in their lovely B&B for 5 days for our honeymoon. The B&B was very clean and the view from the balcony was amazing! They gave us great suggestions for restaurants and things to do, excellent sources for the best way to travel around Positano. Breakfast on the balcony was the highlight of our days there. Delicious choices including fresh fruits and their lemon cake (fresh lemons from their very own farm) was amazing! We will definitely return to Casa Nilde! Thanks for an amazing stay!

Ulemper: The shower was a little disappointing. Low pressure, poor head and fluctuating temperatures. Stairs yes but you're in Positano and there aren't that many compared to the rest. Very short walk down to beaches

Fordele: This was one of the most incredible hotel experiences I've ever had. Rosita is the GEM of this hotel, and my fiance and I can honestly say we miss her! She made us feel like family from the moment we met her. Our room was incredible, the balcony overlooking the sea was amazing and the bathroom with the window you can look at the sea from the shower was EVERYTHING. The breakfast room overlooking the sea was magical, we never wanted to leave. We will absolutely come here again. It was wonderful.

Fordele: The hotel Miramare is a beautiful hotel with the best view in Positano. We loved everything about it and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Fordele: The staff were incredible. Rosita is an absolute star and is the epitome of hospitality! I have never met someone so good at their job :). The terrace was massive and provided an absolutely breathtaking view of positano and the Amalfi coast! The breakfast was fantastic and the decor in the breakfast room was quite charming. We would definitely stay here again, if only to have Rosita take care of us while we enjoyed the beautiful view from the terrace :) Oh and did I mention that they provide a complimentary 2hr boat ride for guests at around 11am!

Ulemper: Was a little dated (but still charming), bathroom a little tight and the lights in the bathroom did not always work.

Fordele: The staff are amazing . They have treated us so well i wished we stayed for more. The location is great 150 steps which is very good relative to other locations And the view has been alone worth it . The view is better than any restaurant bar in all of poistano

Fordele: John, one of the receptionists, was amazing! Upon arrival, my friend and I decided that we wanted to stay for another night so we talked to John about it and although there wasn’t any availability at his hotel, he helped us find another hotel in the area. He went above and beyond his duties and for that, my friend and I were very thankful!

Fordele: Perfect stay, sadly it was only 2 days. Great location. Professional and helpful staff. Excellent value. Great food.

Fordele: This family run hotel was fabulous in every way. Staff, views, cleanliness, position and food were all excellent.

Ulemper: Twin single beds pushed together rather than one queen bed.

Fordele: Great location in Positano, just moments from the path which takes you down the hill to the beach (10 minute walk). Staff were so friendly and provided beach hotels when we went to the beach. Recommend the restaurant next to them, 'Bruno' for food and also walking to the beach next to Positano which is less busy. It is 2/3 minute walk from Sita Bus stop so is easy to get to.

Fordele: The hotel was in a really great location, easy access to the beach, ferry and restaurants, and a great view. The rooms were spacious and clean, quite nice for a 3 star. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast which had great fresh bread and croissants.

Ulemper: The room didn’t have a kettle, which we felt we needed in Italy. The staff were accommodating and provided us with pots of boiled water

Fordele: Great location in the heart of Positano. Very clean hotel and staff were excellent. Also have access to beach towels for the day which was useful. I had a single room which was fine and the bed comfortable. I also really enjoyed the restaurant for dinner too - well worth a visit while staying here.!

Fordele: This hotel is just so beautiful. The second we stepped foot into the lobby and saw the flooring and friendly staff we were so happy we decided to stay here. The front desk helped us multiple times with Recommendations on where the locals eat and things to do. Very pleased with the view we got and balcony and in the perfect location

Ulemper: The breakfast provided was simple. Lots of pastries and pies. Scrambled eggs would have been nice to offer instead of hard boiled but it’s complimentary so you can’t beat that

Fordele: Det er et dejligt hotel. Det er 2. gang jeg har boet der. Fantastisk beliggenhed midt i Positano - ikke ret langt til stranden og busstop lige i nærheden. Sødt personale og et fantastisk morgenmadslokale med udsigt til bjergene.

Ulemper: Jeg boede i vær. 112 og det larmede meget om natten med en vaskemaskine der centrifugerede. Jeg påpegede det flere gange og så stoppede det, men vil ikke vælge at bo i det værelse mere.

Fordele: The location was so good and the employee was very kind.

Ulemper: The hotel didn't have a lot of breakfast menu, but cappuccino was so good.

Fordele: Very reasonable price considering the location in Positano. Would definitely stay there again. One of the few places where you could be dropped off at the door with your luggage! We also loved sitting on the terrace soaking in the view of Positano!

Ulemper: Didn’t have a good view of the sea but it was still a pleasant view.

Fordele: We thought the newly opened Restaurant was marvelous! Our views were spectacular!

Fordele: We loved our stay here - from the moment we arrived the staff made us so welcome. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, air conditioning was very effective and the view from our balcony was exquisite (we paid extra for a sea view room). The breakfasts were absolutely amazing with a wide selection of freshly made pastries and cakes, fruit, cereal, eggs...basically anything you could possibly want! The hotel is well located about a ten minute walk away from Spiaggia Grande (the main beach) where you can take ferries along the coast and over to Capri. Overall, a wonderful hotel.

Fordele: The location of this hotel is fantastic - many great restaurants nearby, a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the beach (either by stairs, or our favourite, down the road and through the quaint alleyways full of shops). The view from the room is something else - absolutely exquisite. We even had a view from our bathroom! It was lovely to have a drink on our balcony before heading out to dinner. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and very keen to assist with any bookings or questions you have. Breakfast was fantastic also. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Ulemper: You have to pay 10 euros per luggage to up and down Imagine 5 luggage x 10 euros x 2 = 100 euros ( this is because you can´t get the luggage by your self There are more than 400 steps to go up

Fordele: The room was very comfortable and the view was amazing! Breakfast had a good selection and you could order proper espresso coffee. The stairs down to the beach are right outside the hotel which was extremely handy, we ended up walking back on the road instead of the stairs though which didn't take long at all. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Ulemper: The fridge wasn't very cold.

Fordele: It’s in a good location, only 300 stairs till you reach the town centre, witch is good for Positano. Staff on the terrace and pool was also nice.

Ulemper: I didn’t like Francesca’s attitude when I asked how come a 4 star hotel doesn’t have a shuttle and I had to pay 10€ for every lugage to another company, to be taken to the port. She replied ironically that she will let all the 4 stars hotels in Positano, know my oppinion. I also didn’t like the room, as it was dirty as you can see in the pictures, bathroom needs a refurbishment and someone has to clean the sunbeds as well. Not to say that if you are unlucky you can have a view of the street from the tiny balcony, and hear every car passing by, and every voice on the street.

Fordele: We could not speak more highly of our experience at Hotel Punta Regina. The location was a short walk from everything. The views from the room and from the breakfast/pool area were breathtaking. The staff were amazing and really friendly. They suggested great places to go and eat and made you feel at home. We will definitely be coming back and staying here in the future.

Fordele: The staff was amazing with my 2-year-old son. They made us feel very welcomed and at home. They were eager to help and the view from the pool was amazing. Having breakfast on-site every day was a joy. The room was spacious and beautiful. We spent more than usual for a room but after leaving we knew it was the right choice.

Ulemper: I wish that we had known that even though we had a balcony in our room, that it was viewing the main street and not the ocean. Maybe this was on oversight on my behalf, but if we ever manage to make it back I would ask for a room on the second or third-floor instead.

Fordele: The view from our room was amazing! The room itself was a great size and the added extras including robe, flip flops and toiletries were excellent. The pool and terrace and drinks were excellent, as were the staff who helped us arrange our itinerary for the stay and held our cases when we arrived earlier than check in. Wish we'd had longer at the hotel to enjoy it!

Ulemper: It was expensive but you pay for what you get and that was the amazing views!

Fordele: The views to the beach and back up the town, the room was cleaned & fresh towels twice a day (although I feel this is unnecessary & not very “green”).

Ulemper: The staff were not always responsive, in the evening in particular. There was no coffee or tea in the room (or facilities to make it), the hair dryer was useless, there was no conditioner (these are the basics I expect).

Fordele: Absolutely wonderful hotel is the stunning Hotel Marincanto. From the jaw dropping views at every glimpse to the most attentive staff, this hotel is an absolute standout in Positano! The rooms are spotlessly clean with abundant extra towels and toiletries. The front desk are extremely helpful and go the extra mile to make your stay in Positano be whatever your heart should want or need! Fantastic work guys! The dine in staff are always very friendly and Lisa was so lovely and made our breakfasts a joy. Buffet breakfast was superb! And with the gobsmaking views at breakfast and the magical ambience at dinner in their beautiful Alfresco restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and twinkling lights of Positano, Hotel Marincanto is what dreams are made of!! The horizon pool is breathtaking with cocktails served to you at the click of a finger. I cannot say enough about this place and dream one day we will be back! Thankyou Hotel Marincanto I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Positano you were a vacation without having to leave your property! Ten out of ten from 2 very happy guest’s!!

Fordele: Pros: First hotel experience on the Amalfi coast very conveniently located next to spaggia grande beach so you can head down the steps built into the cliff easily for your day at the beach! Shopping and food area conveniently located at the main road. Rooms are beautiful with the balcony view of classic picturesque positano. Breakfast was so yummy and they have adorable house cats

Ulemper: Cons: the toilet lights were flickering and spoilt and we Called them to fix it however they ran out of lightbulbs and said the shops were close. I would suggest you keep some in storage or at least offer to change hotel rooms for us otherwise we would have to shower in the dark and not everyone likes it! No kettle for boiling our own water - which I needed for my sore throat. Had to go to the kitchen repeatedly to ask for hot water

Ulemper: People should be told in advance some rooms can’t be reached via the elevator - several groups of stairs up and down to go between room and lobby/restaurant. For people with knee, hip, or other mobility issues, this is a big deal.

Ulemper: Sengene var for smalle, men ellers komfortable. Parkering er meget dyr - 30 Euro pr. nat.

Fordele: The location and scenery were amazing! My room was beautiful -- a villa with a huge patio overlooking the property and the water -- truly stunning! The food and service were great!!! I am recommending to many : )

Fordele: Breathtaking view, beautiful room, and we got upgraded to the Prestige Suite with 70m2 private garden/terrace & sunbeds, gigantic bedroom with a separate dressing room, and a bathroom with 2 showers, and a jacuzzi 1mx2,5m with a direct view to the sea. Heaven on earth.

I have stayed in many 4 stars hotel, they don't charge you for your daily 2 small bottle of water, this should be within the room service for free! Dining in the hotel at night is very expensive, extremely small portions, no atmosphere, rude staff!

There was also an awesome restaurant attached to the hotel where I enjoyed a wonderful meal and bottle of wine. Breakfast was also awesome. I would most certainly go again. I stayed at a variety of hotels during my trip and this was by far my favourite in terms of customer service, views and value for money!

Ulemper: It was quite far up the hill so my leg muscles paid dearly but it was absolutely worth the journey and excellent views.

Fordele: This is the best boutique Hotel in Positano. On arrival, we were upgraded one of the premium suites. That suite (302) is absolutely stunning. Spacious, stylish and with sweeping views over Positano and onto the sea. The team at the Villa were very friendly, warm and welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed there for weeks. The restaurant downstairs is absolutely fabulous. We had the best meal there during our 10 day stay at the Amalfi Coast. Overall, this was a 11 out of 10 experience for us.

Fordele: My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights during a 2week vacation in Italy. The location is literally right on the beach. If you’re vacationing in Positano, then be prepared to do a lot of walking but this hotel’s location spares you from the dreaded walks up and down a million stairs. The hotel is walking distance from beach clubs, restaurants and shopping. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was perfectly delicious. The staff are wonderful and friendly and made us feel welcomed. I had been emailing the hotel for weeks prior to our stay for assistance with boat tours, restaurant reservations etc and the staff especially Clara assisted and accommodated us with any and all requests. We actually stayed in more than one room category and even a standard room with only a standing balcony is more than adequate and beautiful with stunning views. Also, you must have dinner at the hotels’s restaurant- the food is DELICIOUS and the service exceptional.

Fordele: Very helpful and friendly staff, we arrived before our check in time and they organised for us to have a shower and freshen up as we went exploring (leaving our bags at the hotel). It is right on the beach and our room had great views of Positano.

Fordele: Terrific location, very close to the beach and great restaurants. We stayed in room 29 and our view was absolutely amazing. Even our bathroom window had a view. Rooms were impeccably clean. Staff were fabulous, very obliging and friendly and offered very good advice about where to eat, visit, what ferries to book etc. Breakfast was plentiful and they made the best coffees. We had a big storm hit when we stayed and they were very calm and caring, even when all the power went out.

Not to mention the prime location where the beach is about a 7 minute walk, maybe less but the view is so breathtaking you may take more time to take it all in

Fordele: The room had a fantastic balcony, it was big enough to meet the needs of 2 people. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful particularly Manuela! Any queries regarding tours were answered straight away. The 2 restaurants linked to the hotel (very nearby) were also excellent.

There is ample parking on the streets for less money

Fordele: Amazing location in Positano. 1 min walk to the beach, very little steps. We stayed in a large studio, decent size room with a view of the ocean and small patio. We were here for a week on our honeymoon and excellent hotel for a long term stay. There is a small market below the hotel to buy wine, food etc. The room had small kitchen to make breakfast each morning. The room was nice; however beds are in fact hard, as noted in other reviews, but location is worth it. Any other hotel is a huge walk from beach and restaurants. Overall, Positano was the highlight of our three week honeymoon. This hotel was excellent.

Ulemper: Note about Posianto overall (not hotel) it’s crowded in peak season (June - Aug/early sept), beware of the crowds. Day tripping tourists flood the city on ferries every 20 minutes, the streets are packed. However, by 6 PM, all the day tourists disappear and the city is very enjoyable. While the hotel is in a great location, it’s also right in the thick of the tourists during the day. All the tourists congregate and take pictures right outside the hotel at the Church. Easy and simple remedy, have a plan for each day; go to beach, take a boat tour, go to beach club on the coast. Positano is flat out beautiful, most beautiful and best city on Amalfi coast, and this hotel is ideally located to capitalize on all of it, feel like a local. More Positano pro tips - Make a plan for each day. It’s very busy here. Make reservations at least a day or two in advance for boat tours, restaurants, beach clubs etc. The hotel can help with that, but you also need to do some research before and once you arrive.

Fordele: Incredible location in central Positano right near the church, shops, beach. Amazing restaurants right nearby, and super friendly helpful staff.

Fordele: The location is outstanding directly in the center of Positano next to the Church of Santa Maria Assunta. Consequently, not only one of the key sights in Positano is close to the hotel, but also a plenty of nice restaurants and small stores are nearby. In fact, the beach promenade is only a short walk away and the view from the room is amazing! Furthermore, the staff was always very nice and attentive (e.g., offered beach towels). Given the narrow streets in Positano and the even smaller alleys around the Villa Flavio Gioia we followed the suggestion of the hotel to directly head to the "Garage Parking Di Gennaro" on the day of arrival (walking distance from the hotel). We left the car there during the entire stay and took the ferry for day trips to other villages such as Amalfi. Lastly, it is worth mentioning that the "Sentiero degli Dei" hike is a nice alternative to the ferry on the way back from Amalfi to Positano.

Ulemper: We were more than happy with the hotel (also, the hotel description was accurate, there was nothing unexpected and nothing to complain about). However, some thoughts on how to improve this already outstanding place: For us it was totally fine that there is no breakfast, since bakeries like the Collina Positano Bakery are nearby. Nevertheless, a small breakfast (e.g., italian coffee and cornetti/ pastry) would be nice.

Fordele: Great location and very friendly staff.

Fordele: I really like Linda and Dylan. They were waiting for us to arrive and parked out car. They recommended things to do while in Positano, offered us fruits and cake as soon as we settled in. The hotel has a nice porch and an amazing view of the mountains and the sea.

Fordele: We were extremely happy with the outstanding customer experience provided by Linda and Salvatore. Super helpful, considerate and accommodating with the services they provided. We welcomed their recommendations of places to visit and their attentiveness to our needs was second to none.

Fordele: Spectacular views, gorgeous garden and nice villa. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Fordele: Incredibly beautiful location overall. The terrace overlooking an amazing, wide view of Positano is just dreamy. It’s close enough to walk to town but far enough away to feel like you are in a peaceful haven. There are a lot of stairs up, but it’s like walking up through a garden. The hosts, Linda and Salvatore, were truly excellent. They are quite thoughtful, so helpful and friendly, and they offered us plenty of options and assistance throughout our stay. That included booking us in at restaurants, calling us taxis and laying out great ideas for daily activities, complete with suggested itineraries and tips that saved us time and definitely improved our experience. The breakfasts were bountiful and delicious - they even stocked up on oat milk & non-dairy yogurt since they knew we were vegan! Truly a fantastic stay, and we were sorry to leave it. We hope to return again soon!

Fordele: We LOVED our stay at I Giardini Dei Sensei! This quaint little "resort" is located on the Positano cliffside. Know hat you will walk over 100 steps to get to your room and have to walk into town which we loved but may not be for everyone. After living on pasta, bread, wine and gelato, we loved the opportunity to walk some of it off! I Giardini Dei Sensei is a small villa with 4 bedrooms which makes it very cozy and you feel like you are living with a family rather than staying at a resort. Our room was exceptionally clean and had fresh flowers each day. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and you have access to anywhere on the property you want to go to enjoy your coffee or wine (which they will bring to you) or take photos. The view of the sea and Positano are AMAZING. Linda and Salvatore, who run the resort, are also pretty amazing. They are available for your every need and responding immediately to a text message or phone call. They know your name which is very nice each time you see them. Because they are from the area, they can help you with any activities you would like to do from dinner reservations to advice and reservations for excursions. We had no dinner plans when we arrived and Linda literally chose a place for us to eat each night and took care of reservations and transportation (every place she sent us was incredible). The only negative thing I would have to say is that our showers were never really hot and the hairdryer in the room was not great which is a problem for a woman who really needs a good one! Having said that, those two small sacrifices were 100% worth staying there for the attention of the staff and the views. We highly recommend this property.

Fordele: Look no further. If you are full of energy, and up for an exciting stay, this is a gem hidden away from town. You can see Positano town from the patio, and the view is amazing. The hospitality team comprising of Linda, Salvatore and Dylan were spectacular. From the first moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcomed that we didn't hesitate to ask. Linda served us a fresh cold almond welcome drink and a couple of slices of capri cake. They also provided us a bottle of champagne as we had informed them earlier we were celebrating our honeymoon. On the first night, they also brought out some limoncello to share with us. Linda and team were eager to find out our daily plans and offered us help to book a cooking masterclass with an italian chef, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Every morning, we looked forward to the sumptuous breakfast. The variety isn't a big spread, but it is more than sufficient to take you through to lunch. The fresh produces were locally grown and very sweet. We have been told that the produces depends on the seasons and we have made it in time for the end of the nectarine season! Salvatore was kind to give us a lift to Positano town one day when we were about to head out to dinner. As we were about to leave, Linda also packed a small bag of chamomile tea leaves grown by her mum for our trip.

Ulemper: It is such a hidden gem, it is easy to miss the entrance. It is hard for vehicles to stop on the road to unload luggages, just need to be mindful and patient. Also, the stairs to climb to this gem takes getting used to, be prepared to climb 150-200 steps to get to this beauty. But it was well worth it!

Fordele: The property is amazing, the staff are really helpful and friendly and the view is breathtaking

Ulemper: The only problem is that for someone that has difficulties to climb stars. There is a lot of steps to get to the property

Fordele: An absolutely magical experience! And after staying at seven fabulous properties during a two-week holiday in Greece and Italy, that says a lot. The garden-feel is serene and breathtaking, and a welcomed oasis to return home to each day. The rooms were large, the beds perfectly comfortable and the breakfast absolutely superb. The private beach club just below the property ($20 euros per bed) was worth it's weight in gold. Other than overall vibe, what sets this place apart is the staff. Linda and Salvatore were special hosts and have become friends! Their caring hearts and vivacious personalities were ever-present, and they truly went out of their way numerous times to make sure we were taken care of during our trip. We hope to return in subsequent years to see our new friends and experience the joy that is Giardini Dei Sensi.

All I can say is the fact that everything here was lovely, from the big spacious room, to the beautiful terrace with sea view, the nice and friendly personnel and the perfect location. I highly recommend it!

Ulemper: A little walk from the town centre, which will be a common feature for many Positano hotels. Good restaurants nearby means that this isn't a major disadvantage for the evening.

They brought our breakfast to our room each morning and we sat on the balcony looking out onto the sea, beautiful. The rooms were really clean and well decorated. Also, the location of the property was excellent! The fish market tour, olive oil tasting, flower tour, boat rides all added immensely to our over the top experience at Le Sirenuse.
