The atmosphere of the hotel was luxury and relaxing. Some of parts in the room were bit old,it should be refurbished.
The staff were outstanding: in 35 years of travel I have never come across such helpfulness , politeness in the face of problems - we were there during the volcanic ash crisis of April 2010 and needed to communicate with family, insurance company, airline and friends and the staff were just brilliant. When my credit card failed to validate on arrival I was of course beside myself with worry but they were not at all bothered - it was probably the atmospherics, they said, and would soon be OK when the weather got back in balance. Internationa lHerald Tribune each morning; clean sheets and duvet cover and pillow cases each day. When we departed for the airport little did we know that on our arrival there there was a member of the hotel staff Nothing
Staff were unfailingly polite and knowledgeable. Hotel was maintainted and cleaned to a high standard. The spa and gym were first class. The dining menu has to be improved. No bar in the hotel (they only have the beach bar).
My husband and I enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful hotel.The ambience, the friendliness of all the staff and the attention to detail was appreciated. The location is great too, close to shops and good restaurants.

I loved the rooms in particular, large and comfortable. The services were excellent, smiling people and ready to attend to any needs. We travel and stay in hotels often. I would rate The Legian the best hotel we ever saw.
The Legian is simply a dream. All is fantastic, the location, the rooms, the service, the food. It is a top top top experience.
Overall good experience, staff is attentive, food in hotel is pretty good Interior is getting a bit dated and quite dark. They need more mosquito repellant incense in the area!
The room that was booked had no view to the outside, it had a view looking into the center of the hotel. Very depressing. Not a place I would ever stay again
Rooftop was nice, it is just next to the beach, central. The toilet has a smell in the room i think because of the pipes, we always stayed close the toilet door, a part of the hotel is still is underconstruction, so it is usual to find yourself in a weird place. stuff smiles always, but for a high standart hotel it is not fair that they try to charge customers as soon as possible as they arrive to the hotel, it should be at the end of the stay, i had a problem with the agency, and the stuff tried to charge me 3times to ensure their payment, the high quality hotels dont care about money, they care about customers. But the stuff just wanted payment as soon as possible in this hotel.
Comofortable destinantion close to the airport for next connection, not so far form shopping mall, service level was pretty good.

Nice hotel, good food, nice location...the beach was dirty and needs to be clean with a group of people every day, the hotel should really employ few full time people to do the job of cleaning the beach from all the dirt that gets whashed up on the shore!
We enjoyed the proximity to the beach, the huge garden and the set-up of the rooms in individual houses in the local style. The rooms and especially the bathrooms need to get a good clean and small repairs should be undertaken.

Our young girls (7 and 8 years) enjoyed the pool....as there seemed to be plenty of other kids to meet. The pathway along upper edge of the beach was great for running (exercise), while the beach itself was not. The hotel needs a facelift. It seemed a bit threadbare in places....

beautifully maintained garden, easy access to beach, good spa, friendly staff I had booked an additional night (after previously booking 4 nights) via booking.com, however, when I checked in, the hotel had no knowledge of this extension of my stay. That was confusing since booking.com had already confirmed my reservation. The hotel eventually booked me another night, but in a more expensive room.
The hotel is absolutely stunning, with modern, tasteful and luxurious finishes. It is connected by frequent tram to its sister resort (Ayana) and to a private beach. It's a little out of the way from Jimbaran itself, and requires an inexpensive taxi ride to and from town. Food at the resort is good but expensive. The spa is astronomically expensive by Bali standards, although it is in line with Western high end resorts. The Rock Bar at the Ayana (for which Rimba guests get priority access) is a lifelong memory (although VERY expensive). The staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. The beach is beautiful. Location is quite convenient to the airport. In the early morning, it was only about a 10-15 ride. Honestly think it was our one-time bad luck, as opposed to a constant problem, but the air conditioning in our room could not be adjusted, even after we called for technicians to come and "fix" it. The temperature in our room hovered between hockey arena and cold-freezer. Made for poor sleep in an otherwise very comfortable room. Also, despite all the attention, the hotel managed to forget about giving us a promised wake up call. Fortunately, I set my own alarm just in case. But if I hadn't, we would have missed our early morning flight. The beach is very beautiful, but it's not for swimming. There are lots of big waves and big rocks, and the red flag is probably out 99% of the time. All in all, despite the shortcomings, I still believe this to be an outstanding hotel. Well worth the money (and priced much cheaper than many hotels that are likely comparable in quality).
All staffs are GST! Greet, smile and thank you! Best resort in Bali. We booked our stay via kayak and when check in, was told by receptionist that breakfast is not included in my package which have been confirmed by agent kayak. I showed them that my booking is inclusive of breakfast, I then emailed to kayak but no response from them till date. Rimba is really nice, after check in, receptionist called and said that the resort will extend breakfast to us for the our stay in Rimba. The staffs at Rimba ensure that whatever request you have will be fulfilled at their best possible. Not that I can think of..
