Fordele: Stunning hotel lovely reception staff . Extremely clean . Location is a nice hide away from the mains parks allowing that down time .

Ulemper: For a 5star hotel there was not enough choice of food at all . Room service wasn’t great and was waiting so long with young children to be served on the evening and for the food to arrive . A reasonable sized large gap on the stair wells was big enough for my one year one to easy slip through if I took my eye off him for a second . Extremely dangerous .

Ulemper: Swimming pool opening time only open from 10am to 5pm and water cold! Food for diner is as bad as highways cafeteria and charged as 5 star hotel restaurant. More than 20€ for an average burger. No Spa service. No water in the room except the first day.

Fordele: Breakfast good but understaffed

Ulemper: Our children's brand new shoes were "taken" from the pool area. We reported this at reception, we asked to see the duty manager but this was denied. The staff did not deal with the matter at all well. We were told that someone would contact us but at the time of writing some three weeks later, we have heard nothing. We were given generic email addressees for the entire complex including the parks and have heard nothing back. I am hoping through this forum, the appropriate reaction and response might be given. It definitely ruined an otherwise very enjoyable stay. As long as you come and go then its ok but your just a number if something go's wrong. Very very disappointed by this impersonal approach to customer service and clearly they are not concerned about repeat custom just racking the tourists up. Disappointing.

Ulemper: Pool part upstairs on the 6th floor & we were on the 5th floor which made it very loud & people coming & going fro mths lift & stairs too on a Sunday night also

Fordele: breakfast was great .....nice big selelction of dishes ...shame the scrambled egss were never hot though even though they were under lights but they did not ever stay hot .....location was ok even though the side I was on was the side of the main walkway so was never really quite ....bingo from the pub over the road was a bit off putting but overall it was ok ....

Ulemper: the size of the room for the price was no more or even less than a budget hotel room here in UK ...I had a double and a single bed in my room and glad I didnt have a partner and child with me as there would have been no room to move ....for the moeny I payed I would of liked a bit more space as there was not even enough room to put 3 cases on the floor if there had been 3 people in the room ...so I was lucky to be alone ...I would have to think twice about going with any kids ...also no lable to say do not disturb on the door so when the sinlge language room staff came to change the towels had to ask them to come back later ....they changed the towels ...not the floor mat or the bed till it was wrecked .......2 lifts for that many rooms is a bit of a chore when everyone rolls out at the same time for a meal !!!

Fordele: The bed was really comfortable, the entire hotel was spotlessly clean and there was plenty of choice in the restaurant. A really enjoyable time and the cocktail bar on the 5th floor was a big bonus.

Fordele: One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. Modern. Location is excellent. Staff helpful. Food is ok by Spanish buffet standards. Breakfast is the better one. Summit Bar.

Ulemper: Roof pool a bit on the cold side. No English channels Not very suited for children but with a 16month old it was fine for us.

Fordele: Absolutely everything else. Friendly staff, amazing selection of freshly prepared food, lovely pool and amazing roof top terrace. Beds extremely comfortable and rooms cleaned every day.

Ulemper: My room appeared to be above service area so was noisy when deliveries were made and also noises from the kitchen, crockery and cutlery being washed etc.

Ulemper: Very strange hotel to rate on one hand the rooms were spotless clean and housekeeping was amazing all of them The waiters in the bar on ground floor absolutely amazing The staff on the top floor rude and do not give a dam the entertainment was very poor on the roof terrace and really spoilt the trip we just avoided it after the second day We had a 7 yr old son with us who wore a rubber ring to help in the pool and we was approached by the pool attendant who told us it was not allowed I think they just want adults hotel this place is definitely not for children I would not return much better hotels in salou than this one

Fordele: Room (including modern design), facilities, staff, cleanliness, diversity of food (with some exceptions). Also: the hotel is well located, offers entertainment programs, both for seniors and young adults(at the pool below and on the roof).

The food was great and included a very good selection for non meat eaters such as myself. The hotel had two pools, 2 jacuzzis on the top roof aswell as a indoor heated pool within the gym.

Ulemper: The best holiday resort/hotel I've ever been.

Ulemper: There are not enough common areas, it was too crowded, so we had to leave the hotel during the day.. not a single spot to rest. There is not a good access to the beach.. and the beach near by is quite poor and not organized . Too big of hotel with toooo many people, the area isn’t nice at all, the Salou town is Just horrible.. it is a low standard tourist town.

Ulemper: Had to que at pool to get a sunbed, when it opened at 10am had ro run to put towels on beds. Ants in room Rooms outdates Que for breakfast and other quests would remove our belongings of our table and sit at it when we went to get breakfast

Fordele: We loved the pool and breakfast! The hotel was clean and tidy and very well presented. The entertainment was great! It was very safe and we felt secure.

Fordele: Food was tasty and various. Hotel staff is super friendly and is always happy to help you. Rooms are ok.

Ulemper: Dishes in the main restaurant were constantly dirty. It was really complicated to find a clean glass or plate. Room cleaning only made the bed and changed the towels. A lot of dust and the sand was in the room and the balcony. Bathroom needs renovation. A bit too far from the beach and no good places to eat nearby, have to walk to the seashore for about 1 - 1,5 km.

Fordele: The location was amazing, the hotel is located between the main town and portaventura theme park so it’s ideal for all sorts of visitors. The pool area has loads of loungers available and reserving beds is strictly not allowed, the pool attendant will take towels that are left sitting there which is great as this means there are usually sun beds free at most times during the day. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. We had breakfast included in our stay and there was a great choice every morning. Overall we had a great stay in this hotel and would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Fordele: The rooms were cleaned every day and the beds were big and comfortable! Staff were friendly, lots to do throughout the day but was also really relaxed around the pool! The spa area downstairs is lovely and relaxing however can get really loud and crowded when families are there with young children. You also need to wear a swimming cap in the spa pool which is inconvenient but this was the only downside. 10 mins walk to the theme park, 15 minutes to the beach and local shops and around 15/20 to the nearest train station which is great! Really handy location. All in all, a lovely trip!

Ulemper: Spa pool requiring a swimming cap seems really outdated, was asked to wear one or get out of the pool, this could be looked at as I’m not sure how many people would have swimming caps and means a great facility of the hotel cannot be used.

Fordele: Breakfast and location was excelent, but I hade one unpleasant moment before leaving the hotel. Door men told me to put children's backpacks in the luggage room in the safe for the fee, very unpleasant(

Fordele: large spacious rooms, good variety of food at meal times. We arrived about midnight at the hotel and found that a lovely cold buffet and water was laid out in the dining room for us - most appreciated after a long day.

Ulemper: there was not enough coffee dispensers in the dining room and this resulted in long queues for coffee etc.

Fordele: Good position for Portaventura and the beach/restaurants in Salou. Lots of shops nearby

Fordele: Breakfast is ok. Food at dinner time is terrible.

Fordele: the outdoor swimming pool, the ping pong table, the billiard and the size of the room. Staff at the restaurant and the lady at the bar were very nice.

Ulemper: The rooms are very basic and were not well cleaned when we arrived, and when we made our booking we asked a few things that obviously they never read or did not take into consideration. Some staff were really not nice and that's a pity because most of them were nice and it puts the overall evaluation down. I also didn't like the fact that there is a minibar but you need to pay to just use it. I had no idea and i brought medicines with me that should be placed in the fridge and i found it really unfair. The turkish bath was not working on the first day.

Fordele: Life guard around the pool at all times when people were swimming. Ask reception for anything they were always eager to help. Have now stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last 5years and probably will again in the future. Entertainment every evening if you stayed in that night and always a good selection of food.

Ulemper: We were treated terribly at checkout by the reception staff and manager. Our visa had authorsied with our own bank when they put the payment through but was coming up declined on their end. They would not accept this and wanted us to pay twice and would not let us go. We missed our taxi for te airport. The payment gave us problems as we had only 100 euro on us and no pin for the card. We pleaded with them to let us go. The manager said that we would have to call family to get the money to go. We eventually promised to send te money by credit transfer when we got back to Ireland. Our bank has given us an authorisation number for the transaction. We were very upset when we left the hotel. They took copies of our passports. We will nopt be going back there

Fordele: We stayed at the Callaghan Hotel and enjoyed every minute. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful decorated. The scenery around the hotel was just perfect and the kids loved it.

Ulemper: The check in was a very long wait! It to over an hour in a queue to check in! The room was lovely but so basic! The room had a fridge, microwave, sink but not a glass for a drink, nothing to actually use! There was not even a glass in the bathroom so the sink in the kitchen is perfect for water if you want to drink straight from the Tap!

Fordele: We stayed in the upgraded wing of PortAventura hotel named Callaghan's. Overall the hotel is good. Separate check in counter and breakfast, the room is big cosy and very quiet.

Ulemper: The bedding is very cheap and in our room had a bad sour smell. This is not expecting from 4 stars hotel.

Fordele: Hotel itself is lovely and the 2 bedroom suites were big with plenty of room. There is a small kitchen with a microwave and a fridge but not one utensil or kettle so basically a waste of space. Beds were comfy. Floor needs to be done though as there was a large chunk missing on way into bathroom and you would get splinters from it if you were barefoot. Breakfast was great though with the largest choice of food I’ve ever had at any hotel. Staff weren’t friendly though and could barely speak any English and also at night there isn’t much of a choice food wise except for hot dogs or toasted sandwich.

It was difficult to find a clear table then everything you needed like crockery and cutlery which appeared to be all over the place. Also, i don't like getting my tea from a machine that you have to queue up for for 10 mins and then the machine is switched off dead on 10am

Fordele: Great location, near the beach and it takes 30 minutes to reach Port Aventura. Great room with beautiful view. The best is bar at lobby. Your barmen is just the best, the tastiest coctails I've ever tried.

Ulemper: Rooms was great.clean and cleaners were in everyday. Our problem was we could never get a sunbed by the pool as everyone were putting towels on bed then going else where and not coming back to the pool for few hours.so we didn't relax out side the pool for the whole 10 days we were there. We ended up on the beach every day of our stay.we paid for bed and breakfast but didn't have breakfast as was always rammed. We went to grapevine for breakfast every day.

Fordele: Staff, friendly, professional, welcoming, multilingual, helpful, courteous, and eager to help. Mostly faultless. Even the housekeeping staff and guys clearing trolleys of dirty plates in the restaurant were super friendly. The location is central to everything. 20 Min walk to theme parks, lots of supermarkets close by if you don't want to pay €31 for 2 drinks! 5-10 Min walk to beach. Whole hotel immaculately clean, housekeeping available daily and very polite. Beds are large and comfortable, if a little firm. Even at peak busy times the restaurant ran like clockwork. Service is impeccable, food replenished swiftly when running low and plenty of variety every evening to prevent tedium and boredom.

Ulemper: The place was amazing. Only encountered one rude staff member the whole stay, some dude in the restaurant trying to tell us we couldn't sit at the only clean and re-laid table in the restaurant when they were extremely busy. Other than that, all the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. My only other gripe was being charged €31 for a gin and lemonade and a rum and coke in the adults only pool and bar area! Just because my kids weren't with me doesn't mean I don't have any and I'm made of money!!! That was extortionate! Other than those two gripes the place was immaculate, food was fantastic, entertainment varied. One singer thought he was Elvis and sang like a drunk dad at karaoke, dancers were amazing but ruined by some guy who thought he was a comedian while they danced to Moana soundtrack, and some muscle blokes doing pitiful trampoline acrobatics. Not my cup of tea but then there was the whole of salou on the doorstep to find our own entertainment. Oh, and no English speaking channels on the tv. I like to have the TV on in background when I sleep due to anxiety but struggled to sleep with it being in a language I didn't understand, however I'm not entitled and realise that in Spain you should expect their TV to be in Spanish!

Ulemper: The rooms are not spacious enough for two adults and two small children, tight squeeze . In my opinion some staff were very rigid about allowing you to change food option re : specials of the day.For example vanilla ice cream /apple crumble was dish of the evening and i just wanted icecream with no apple crumble but staff refuse to serve me ice cream with no crumble.Also on another occasion Blue cheese was served with salad and walnuts but i just wanted blue cheese but was reffussed untill i expressed my opinion and another staff member served me blue cheese. Poor attitude from such a hotel.It seem pretty lame to mention but feel this should be addressed. There didnt appear to be enough sunbeds/lounger for the size of hotel.

Ulemper: The room was empty of amenities. no coffee, no tea, no water. It is designed to maximize in-out of guests. It is not a personalized service hotel. Just a place to sleep where needed.

Fordele: Very clean and comfortable room with a view to the pool. Great efficient front desk service at check in and check out. The fact that we can store our luggage free of charge in the hotel is unbeatable.

Ulemper: No toiletries nor iron in room 1187. Also the sockets to the right side of the bed were not working, left the phone to charge overnight and to my surprise it was totally dead.

Fordele: Very close Portaventura park gates, nice breakfast area, good scenes at the ponds, the all days free access including arrival and departure days, good breakfast, nice coffee machines, free parking, close to the market in Salou, nice area all around, receptionist helped with printing tickets for FCBarcelona match, she was nice at arrival at 4 am in the morning, thanks.

Ulemper: The sheets on the bed were not very clean, no commodities in the room, just soap and shower gel, but not all that matters because portaventura is a wonderful park.

Fordele: What an amazing place, the park is beautiful and has the second biggest rollercoaster in Europe, there is plenty there for every age, the hotel is clean and tasteful and the food was amazing, I have celiac disease and they cooked me fresh plates of food off menu free of charge, I had steak and sea bass! Really impressed and already looking at another reservation for Halloween! Love love love

Fordele: Meget stor morgenmad med masser at vælge imellem, vi oplevede ikke kø. Udmærket poolområde, flinkt personale, gode daglige aktiviteter især om aftenen. Glad for at vi kunne låne en klapvogn hos dem.

Ulemper: Kaffen til morgenmaden var desværre dårlig. Sengene var lidt for hårde, værelset lidt lille ift. 3 voksne og 1 barn.

Ulemper: We are a repeat guest, but this time I wasnt empress they put us to the apartment style which is we were with our 2 little ones and they give us separated sofa beds and I'm not happy with it and toilet is to small narrow and the room is so small the next room to us was making to much noise loud sounds in the midnight till morning...

Fordele: The balcony and I enjoyed the aqua aerobics. The lady who taught water aerobics was fun and friendly.

Ulemper: We were in a adjoining room and the family next to us were very loud, you could hear every word and argument. Not necessarily the hotels fault but just that the walls are thin. Lack of pan au chocolate- only available 1 day out of 5.

Fordele: I loved everything about the hotel the staff behind the bar wore a bit rude but overall I just loved this hotel the entertainment at night for the kids was just brilliant my daughter loved it booking . Com doesn’t give any information about the night shows and day time entertainment maybe that could be added into the information because that’s what made our holiday

Ulemper: I didn’t like the breakfast there wasn’t a lot of options I think I was expecting there to be more Irish type food . We paid for breakfast but didn’t eat there all week there was carrots for breakfast was a bit bizare other than that everything was great

Ulemper: In my opinion, room needs updating. We stayed with a small child in the room located opposite the elevator, which caused discomfort. It was quite noisy in the lobby when there were people. Using the map, I suggested that the hotel is closer to the sea than it turned out in reality. About 15-17 minutes walk with a stroller and a child to reach the middle of the beach, where is wider coastline. It would be great if children whose parents do not look after them are controlled and forbidden to jump into the pool. We were with a small child of 8 months in a small pool and one of the children of 7 years was jumping right next to us

Fordele: I liked the room and the facilities and general. Also I liked the room we were given after check-out to take a shower. Nice people too.

Ulemper: The entire bottom of the central pool and the indoor pool was dirty with lotsssss of green mold that is very dangerous for bathers. And although I mentioned it for a few days no one took care of the matter. The food was not great as many dishes were not cooked well at all with no good taste

Fordele: The hotel exceeded our expectations which is always a plus. The hotel is large but has plenty of space and facilities to everyone. There are several pools to enjoy both indoor and outdoor. We stayed in the new family suites (even though there was just 2 of us) and they were fantastic . Very clean spacious and the beds were comfy. Great ac and the shower was excellent. All rooms have a balcony which is nice - we didn’t have a view but we didn’t care. The location is good being 15 mins walk to the beach. You can get to most places within 5-10 mins walk. Taxis are readily available too. Puerto Adventura and the water park are only 10 mins drive away. There was nighttime entertainment at the hotel each night and games such as pool etc.

Ulemper: Breakfast was excellent. We prepaid for it each morning and it was really good however we ate one time for dinner and once for lunch and it was not great. Food was mostly cold. I wouldn’t recommend going full board unless you don’t plan to leave the hotel.

Fordele: The property was central to the shopping and beach front and the staff particularly at the reception were very helpful and accommodating.

Ulemper: The underground parking for the hotel is handy however when entering beware as the road dips which is slightly deceiving and will catch on the front of the car particularly the lower ones. The bar stopped serving to all guests at 12pm. I can appreciate the bar having restrictions to the all inclusive guests and who may have overindulged with the free alcohol all day however when you have been for a late meal (typical in this part of Europe) and get back to the hotel at 2330 and expect to pay for a wine but are told the bar is closing at midnight and everyone has to remain inside for noise levels, it can be slightly disappointing.

Fordele: We were given a family suite so plenty of room and cleanliness of hotel very good

Ulemper: Only down side food very repetitive, and sweets had no signage so not sure if I could have due to having a nut allergy

Fordele: Great quality breakfast with lots of options, quiet rooms with no disturbances, incredible shower with great water pressure

Ulemper: We asked for a double bed in our booking however when we got to the hotel, the desk agent made an assumption (I can only assumed because we are the same gender and different races), that we would need separate beds and gave us a twin room instead. My wife and I had to go back down to the desk to insist on on having our double bed as originally requested. Dinner selection on weekdays lacked variety, for example...vegetables. However the weekend spread made up for this. Water at the bar was expensive consider it was on 30cl .

Fordele: We visited this place for the third time (before in 2011 and 2012). Third time it did not disappoint us. In particular we liked the animation team, which kept us away from boredom when we were lazy to go somewhere during the day. We like the location - outside the noisy Salou center and very close to the sea - the beach is less crowded than the beach in the center. Cleaner than what we can expect for a 3-star hotel.

Ulemper: After two weeks staying we wanted some more diversity for breakfast. The hotel is very big we wished the pool could be bigger. Wifi was barely working in our room, for important things we had to go to the reception area.

Fordele: Very comfortable beds

Fordele: Aperfect option for those who want to stay next to the seashore. Far from the crowdy and noisy centre

Ulemper: Check-in at 3pm and Check-out at 10am. Too early and too unfair.

Fordele: Breakfast setting was fantastic. A wide variety food to choose from.

Ulemper: Building looks lovely on the outside however looks a bit dated on the inside. Rooms looked out dated.

Fordele: Breakfast was good. Lots of choice.

Ulemper: Check in took over an hour and misled on parking

Fordele: Staff service, cleanness, customer care, swimming pools.

Ulemper: Few vegan options, schedule for activities, some workers didn’t speak Spanish.

Fordele: Great location very close to the beaches and a short walk to the centre of town. Has a great bar and plenty of facilities for everyone.

Ulemper: Nothing

Ulemper: Russians have no manners and the food they hoard was on the verge of ridiculous

Ulemper: You need to pay for everything, renting the iron and the iron board , for the fridge in the room (25€ x week), if you like a more comfortable pillow. Service of the reception, no the greatest, part of the staff giving a good service ( Spanish ones) Russians missing skills like giving good morning and smiling...

Fordele: Location was close to the strip but far enough away so there was no noise.

Ulemper: Where the pool is it was blocked from the sun till around 11 in the morning because of the location of the buildings.

Fordele: Pool is amazing!

Ulemper: Nothing really.

Fordele: Liked bar, restaurant and reception area. Staff very friendly.

Ulemper: Rooms very dated and small. Bad smell in room and could hear neighbours coming in late every night keeping us awake.

Fordele: The reception staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The pool area was beautiful and having an outside jacuzzi was an added bonus. The food was excellent with a hugh variety every day. The lady who managed dining room was so efficient and professional. The hotel itself was stunning , I would definitely stay here again.

Ulemper: I have nothing bad to say about this hotel everything was brilliant.

Fordele: Good location, very clean, friendly staff

Fordele: The hotel very kindly gave us a room upgrade because I'd told them we were there to celebrate my girlfriends 18th birthday. It was very nice. Location was perfect, everything in one place within walking distance

Ulemper: The fact that my girlfriends birthday falls when its school holidays..! Trying to get a bed by the pool was a nightmare !! Also the pool was freezing cold.

Fordele: breakfast & evening meals were ok location to beach and other bars shops etc

Ulemper: The rooms require an update they do not match the quality of the reception area i.e(all fur coat and no knickers),air conditioning very noisey,wall very thin you can hear your neighbours every word ,drinks in the adjoining bar expensive compared to surrounding bars

Fordele: Pool was big and lots of loungers available. Hotel very clean. Room was very comfortable and a decent size.

Ulemper: When curtains were open lots of other balconies could see into room. Not a lot of lounger space by the pool. Breakfast was mostly the same everyday.

Fordele: Fantastic location, very clean and great staff, improvements have been made to the pool bar area which is now modern looking compared to its rustic former self.

Ulemper: I've stayed here a few times before, even recommended it to my daughter and granddaughter, unfortunately improvements need to be made re the food, it is typical large hotel fare, this is not just a criticism of The Salou Princess but of most hotel chains, the food is mass produced, probally by necessity and tries to appeal to all tastes but usually fails, it is no coincidence that most large chain hotels are surrounded by successful restaurants and pub/cafes, we ended up eating at these most evenings even though we had paid on a half board basis.

Fordele: Excellent stay, entertainment staff amazing and hotel staff good, only one point is think the toiletries should be replaced more often, ran out after day 2 and house keepers didn’t replace, apart from that excellent all around

Ulemper: No toiletries replaced at all during my stay

Fordele: The hotel is only a 10 minute drive from the airport, all the staff are friendly and helpful the 2 pools are clean the gym is good, and your only a 10 minute walk from the beach and some great pubs and restaurants, with plenty of things to do as well as being close to some great water parks as well. All in all Salou is a great family location as well as for couples as well

Fordele: Eating was good.

Ulemper: Roomservice wanted to clen the rooms even I had sign do not disturb. Dishes in restarant were dirty.

Fordele: The food in general

Ulemper: Food definitely not as good as it was in previous years. The only way to get a sunbed in the sun was to be down at between 6 and 7.30 am!! Long queues at poolside for bar for food.

Fordele: Excellent facilities as well as variety of food available. Staff and entertainment excellent.

Fordele: hotel room was 2 minutes from the pool which was exceptional, we didn’t go all inclusive as we where just staying one night , but we took the option of using the restaurant 10 euro for adult 5 euro for kids eat and drink all you want for the evening menu !!! fabulous!!

Ulemper: There is no mini bar in tha room. Air conditionong does not work.

Ulemper: Rooms do not have fridges and there is no irons in the hotels at all

Ulemper: The bars in the hotel closed quite early before 12 o'clock ish

Fordele: The only good thing with this hotel is very close to the Aqua Park and the Ferrari Land. Nothing more at all!

Ulemper: Firstly, unfortunately the reception staff does not care about you, they care about their issues only. They were not polite, not guest oriented and not even helping! Once, one of the staff was handling my questions however in the middle of my questions she left me alone and started to help her colleague instead of me, after a long wait I called someone else to help me! Another time, I asked a help but the receptionist girl responded me "wait, someone another will come to handle your question! Moreover, the night duty manager was not polite enough like you are not the guest and were from the street. What is that! Am I a beggar and asking the money from them?! 2. The room was not cleaning properly, we noticed some heap of hair at the bathroom ground which is definitely from another guest before us, unfortunately it was there till the end of our stay!! 3. The pillows were not very comfortable, we called reception and asked extra 2 pillows which were not available in the wardrobe, however they forgot!! 4. I strongly recommend that, do not enter into the swimming pool! It was terribly dirty during our stay. What I understood ultimately, they do not care about you totally! We did not feel ourselves that we are staying in an entertaining hotel, instead, annoying low profile small business hotel.

Fordele: Food was good quality and areas very clean. Good selection of drinks and food. A very nice place to stay within the park

Ulemper: Having all inclusive and spending most of the day in the parks, they should provide drinking stations for clients. Also park closes at 23.59hrs, so on your return they should provide An open bar and not close at 23.30hrs/

Fordele: The pool was nice in front of the hotel.

Ulemper: The glass at the tub was scaly and they only give shower gel.. In the bedroom we had no fridge :(

Ulemper: the pool opening hours left no time to enjoy both the pool and the park

Ulemper: It was a problem when communicating with hotel staff since they do not know how to speak in English. The bathroom is not equipped with shampoo and conditioner you have to buy them from the shop at the hotel

Fordele: I liked the location, very near to the Portaventura (5min walk or by blue train), and the sand-beach pool.

Ulemper: Not so happy about the fact that you have to take your bags from the reception to the rooms, which can be quite far (check the map).

Fordele: The hotel is located in Port Aventura and only 15 min walk to Salou. Room is spacious, bed is comfy. Territory is beautiful! And the main advantage - is you want to visit Port Aventura and Ferrari park - tickets are included in the room rate.

Fordele: Great rooms and swimming pools

Fordele: The facility was very good. You could have a good time in hotel Caribbean without even going to the park

Fordele: Great location . Very clean . Rooms spacious and they have a handy fridge to keep your goodies in . Superb buffet breakfast. Staff very friendly, beautiful gardens.i would visit again it was a very relaxing place.

Ulemper: Lack of information in hotel rooms i.e the hotels restaurants, location of them, opening times ,local information etc. Only one pillow on the bed and no extra in the wardrobe. Expensive bar and hotel shop.

Ulemper: There was no tea & coffee in room no iron just bed and fridge no water in fridge

Fordele: Location was good. Next to the park and tickets to the main park included (even though we ended up only going one day out of 14 but there was a lot to do in Salou). Hot days, nice pool (but odd rules like no sunglasses in the pool).

Ulemper: Spoiled by American hotels but the room for a family was small. Few options to upgrade. Refrigerator was broken, lock on balcony door was broken (had to wait next day to switch room), lots of bugs, tile floors instead of carpet and tried to overcharge me for my daughter. She was excluded from the booking and when it came up, charged me 50 EUR/day. Even with free breakfast and park tickets (which we only ate breakfast there less than half the trip and went to the park once), that still doesn't add up to 50 EUR. And I didn't get any extra room space, towels or anything. Nothing changed and I paid more. And staff doesn't care. It's Spain. Customer is NOT always right and actually was told I was either stealing or it was my mistake on purpose in front of my wife and kids and 50 other people I was a thief - because it definitely wasn't theirs. Never staying in a PortAventura hotel again.

Fordele: Location of the hotel was beautiful. The parks were beautifully laid out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but more notice could have been drawn to the blackout curtains which were hidden from view. As a consequence, the room was too light to be able to sleep.

Ulemper: Breakfast and dinner was cold and hardly any choice in meat items. Carrots and vegetables were undercooked/hard and cold. The meals did not live up to my expectations of a buffet meal of previous years. Your hotel and others round the world that I have visited.

Fordele: The breakfast was just perfect!

Ulemper: The bath tub and sofa in the room could use a deep clean or update.

Fordele: The quality of food should be better

Ulemper: Very small territory for such a big hotel. Very crowded the swimming pool area.

Ulemper: Rooms are too noisy.

Fordele: Location was excellent as the hotel was located directly in front of the only wave break in the sea which was the only spot that was safe to swim and was excellent for snorkelling.

Ulemper: All the staff were very pleasant but the bar staff in the hotel bar were very inefficient. Didn't seem to be capable of taking more than one order at a time and then very slow. Although saying that the drinks were good value and the measures very generous. Although the food at breakfast and dinner was good quality it was more catering for the continental taste. We found an excellent full Irish breakfast in the Rugby Bar about ten minutes walk to the left as you leave through the front of the hotel.

Fordele: The location is absolutely stunning, the breakfast is nice but not that much variety. However, I was really disappointed with the fact that for the money I have paid it didn’t even had an iron in the room, had to pay 2 euro every time when I wanted to use it, which I believe is ridiculous. I have stayed in one star hotel and they didn’t charge me for using the iron. Another thing is that we didn’t had the bed sheets changed, after I went downstairs to reception and complained about this it was done. They have told me that every 3 days are changing them but it was already 5th day . I have took them off the bed and leave them on the floor just to find the same sheets back on the bed. Wanted to stay one more night and we were charged 210 euro . For just one night . The pool was amazing and the drinks on the bar really nice.

Ulemper: Wanted to stay on more night and we have been overcharged. 210 euro for one night I believe is ridiculous.

Fordele: Fine hotel, services, excellent & very kind personnel, facilities., cleanliness, position: quiet zone, also close to Salou. Excellent bike path both for Cambrils and Salou. Good restaurant schedule & services, tasty food.

Ulemper: coffee (very "artificial").

Fordele: Across a cycle path from the sea, nice pool area, very clean, nice bathrooms

Ulemper: Although the food was OK, these wasn’t much variety from day to day. My wife is a vegetarian and although there was vegetarian selections, most things were not labelled or identifiable as such so my wife only tried familiar dishes. Overall the food was average at best. On a number of occasions we got into arguments with the serving staff. This was brought about because most of the tables in the restaurant were set up for couples, (I was there with my Wife and son so there were 3 in our party) so we ended up needing to join tables together or needed to sit at tables set for 6 - 8 seats but we were challenged by the staff when we did so and this spoiled our experience on two occasions. Our room was overlooked by apartment next door and was above the trade entrance where staff smoked so we had a partial view of the sea combined with the aroma of staff smoking and the bins.

Fordele: Excellent location to the beach and bus stop right outside with regular buses to nearby resorts. Stayed half board good choice of food. Beds comfy. Lots of sun loungers, beds, sofas and seats at the pool bar areas. Good price drinks.

Ulemper: Side sea view over looking the car park, noisy as room position was just a above where all the deliveries came in. No self catering option. Not very clean around pool areas but spotless everywhere else.
