Great location, perfect to get away and not be bothered by crowds. The property is just big enough and everything is easily accessible. Everything is well run and organized. The food we found to be excellent. Find Carlos at the Castle bar for the best drinks on the property. The only issue we had was our A/C slowly dying throughout the course of the week. Someone came to "fix" it, but it wasn't really fixed. This made the last night there some what uncomfortable, but we were on our way out, so didn't really make a big deal of it.
Beautiful setting, great facility, cheerful and friendly staff who go above an beyond to make you feel welcomed and attend to your every need. They also were very sweet to our 4 y/o daughter. Food was decent and multiple restaurant options offer variety. The public beach just next to the resort is also beautiful and worth the short walk/golf cart ride (the hotel staff will give you a lift). Despite requests from the resort to not "reserve" chairs at the beach and pool, particularly selfish guests would put towels down on the well shaded chairs by the pool and beach before heading to breakfast. Often they would finally show up hours later. Many guests didn't bother to remove their wet towels when they left their chairs so it was difficult to tell which chairs were taken and open.
Loved the small intimate size of the resort. The staff is top notch and bent over backwards to please. Has an European feel and the food was good. Fusion restaurant experience was over the top. Wifi in lobby was spotty, not much to do at night. I felt pressured to tip. No real beach but lots of pools. We paid for ocean view and only saw a tiny peek of one. I would return and recommend it to everyone.
The Service Beautiful Resort
Beautiful, romantic electrical didn't work in our room in many outlets
Most of the staff was great, particularly bar staff including Martin at the Love Bar. The room was nice and accurately reflected "ocean view." The pools were quite pleasant including the main pool with swim up bar. Food was very mediocre. More entertainment is needed as well if to compete with resorts in the other islands and even US resorts. They should have more air conditioning in their bars, lobby, typically sweat in these area from lack of it. Even in the restaurants the temperature could have been cooler.
The place is very secluded and is not currently near other resorts so it was very private and relaxing. The staff there is amazing! Everyone is so nice and eager to assist you in any way. I do recommend that you take plenty of Tip Money (apparently cash is preferred because that is the only sure way you'll know they got the tip. No guarantee by just adding charging it to the Room). You will definitely appreciate the amazing service. It was also Seaweed, and every day they cleared the shore of seaweed and would haul it away so that guests could enjoy the beach. This was a 5-Star relaxing Stay... Loved It! I didn't like that Wi-Fi was not included with, but at least there is an option.
Love the staff! Specially Santo the chef!! Excellent food. Scarlett the best housekeeper . She is excellent . All the waiter & bar attended Magnificient .
Everything outside the room. the food, the atmosphere, the entertainment and staff was absolutely excellent! Lack of quality control in the room. no coffee maker, lack of water pressure in bath tub, multiple failures with housekeeping (not leaving towels, not coming at all, taking my robes and not returning them), and room service was spotty with incorrect orders.
Pro: Very quiet, relaxing. Good food. Con: Beach had heavy seaweed
The place is very well located, the hotel is not huge but big enough to satisfy a short stay. Different than many resorts, this one give the chance to have a nice walk around the hotel enjoy other restaurants located at the other facilities honestly, no too much to suggest, I think the food variety must be better, however to me it was ok
Awful. Please don't stay here.
The location of the resort on Kayak implied it was close to to the airport, instead it was an $80 cab ride!
Location, rooms Cutting corners all the time due to low occupancy. Low staffing, slow service, cold jacuzzi, cold coffee, weird vibes all the time
We were married on the resort in 2007 and went to another Big Resort for our Honeymoon. After 2 days at the other resort we called Tortuga Bay to have them pick us up and bring us back. We got married at The Punta Cana Hotel and spent our honeymoon in Tortuga Bay. I say without hesitation that it is the best vacation experience I have ever had. This is what its like to vacation like royalty. Everything here was top shelf. The Staff from Top to below is Amazing, The rooms are perfect and the service is incredible. It's not the place to be if you want to 'Raise The Roof'. For a Quiet, peaceful and Supremely relaxing and Romantic trip, This Is the finest place I know of. My bride and I travel often and Stay at The Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons of The World and this is Definitely a place we dream about!!!! If you're on your way there, You Are Blessed!!!!
internet speed very slow, domotic system could be highly improved.
Beautiful location and facility, friendly and attentive staff, great food If you're going to have a high end television in the room please provide high definition service
The staff at the pools bars and inside bar are amazing! The hotel is quiet and grounds are breathtaking. It is a 1 min walk to the pool and a 2 min walk to the private beach. Will go back again and again. The food at all the restaurants could be better. Ended up eating dinner in the village the last 4 nights.
Loved the beach privacy and the pool. The unit had everything that's needed for an extended stay. Indeed, the place was quiet and very relazing. Two important items: Front desk didn't advise that breakfast was included until check out time, so I missed that. Secondly, the pillow cases had a humidity smell as if they were not dried enough after washing.
