Beautiful atmosphere in old part of Beijing in restored traditional house. Staff extremely helpful, organising train tickets, taxis etc. and advice on area. Good breakfast buffet provided Not really a "don't like", but, being located in the alleyways of the old town, it is difficult to find and taxi drivers are not aware of it. Worth the trouble, though, once you get there! The owner (or manager) has two dogs which appear to have the run of the premises, including, sometimes, the restaurant. Not so good, particulalry if you don't like dogs.
I loved the space and the environment at the Courtyard 7. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location in the Hutong area is very close to alternative shops, cafes and bars. When at the hotel we bought tickets to the Beijing Opera. Sincerely I consider to pricey for the value, since it was a touristy, short imitation of the real one.
Very helpful staff When we arrived we were told we would have to stay at another hotel for the night as the guest in our room could not move until the following day as they had a bad leg and were elderly. This wasn't a real problem and the hotel paid for our transport from the airport and gave us a free dinner. When we did get our room in Courtyard 7 we spoke to some fellow guests who were told the very same thing and also had to stay elsewhere the same night as us. This made me wonder if they were telling the truth or had just double booked us. Having said that, everything else was fantastic.
Beautiful place, feel like at home, nice staff, convenient location. Have to walk a little bit from the taxi since that Hutong is very narrow. Hope that 15% service fee will be added inton room rate directly instead of find it when checking out.
the room is clean and quiet. above of all, the staffs were awesome!
The staff at Courtyard 7 were some of the most helpful that I have come across. They arranged day trips and onward travel arrangements, and went out of their way to make sure we had a delicious evening meal on our late arrival. This was an oasis in the middle of busy Beijing; a peaceful courtyard where you would find it hard to believe that the bustle of Beijing daily life is going on just outside the door. It was a little hard to find, and the hotel had to talk the taxi driver in.
Very romatic small hotel with a briliant location close to the walking street and the forbidden city. The staff was very serviceminded and friendly. We will deffently stay there next time. The breakfast was served in a restaurant close to the Hotel. Don´t eat that. The hotel prepared a breakfast the last morning in our stay. I hope they will do that in the future, but they have to practice a little more.
A friendly athmosphere which invites one to sit in the beautifull garden to drink coffee and to have breakfirst. A quiet oasis in the middle of the busy and mondane shooping area Wangfujing, close to the Forbidden City in the heart of Beijing. A friendly and very helpfull (english speaking) staff and a relaxed and cosy feeling.
The staff were very friendly and tried hard to be helpful. Good broadband service free. Also bicycles free. I spent tow nights in a very poor quality room. Then one night in a good room. THe difference was very great.
Very traditional. Dificult to find, but once you know where it is, its ok.
yes, special setting
Staff lovely, room was comfortable, really interesting location, deluxe room was nice
An authentic Chinese style building in a real Hutong. The breakfast was adequate but could be improved.
quiet surrounding helpful staff
Historic architecture, location in a hutong, provided or arranged for a car/cab to get to and from the airport, nicely appointed room, internet connection easy to use, very nice staff; quiet and peaceful; tons more character than a chain hotel; handled an unexpected very late arrival with ease Not sure if there was an air conditioner; if not, would need at least a good fan for hot, humid weather
The hotel was quite pleasant and the staff were very helpful. We found the executive room to be nicely appointed. The breakfast buffet included both Chinese and European selections. We used a hotel driver and car for our trip to the Great Wall. While a little more expensive than tour groups, it provided us with a relaxing trip to the wall. The driver directed us to a great restaurant just before getting MuTianYu that was much cheaper than the tourist spots and severed excellent food.
Loved the local culture and the excellent service. This hotel is very small and goes above and beyond to exceed expectations for everyone staying in this charming little hotel...extremely personal service. Taxis are hard to find that knows how to get to this location even with the printed card they provide for you......You will try a minimum of 3 each time before you get one that can get you home........Small price to pay for such a great experience at the hotel.
Very pleasant and fothcomming staff, charming interior and good location. Nearly everything was perferct. However, if you come late for breakfast, the selection of food might be a little limited.
