A charming Victorian. Staff were available, helpful and gracopus.
Availability We were booked for a queen with a fireplace. We only received a standard room. The carpeting was not clean.
Great location, friendly staff, charming room. Decent breakfast that came with the room fee. Bed was made each day and used towels were replaced with clean ones, but bathroom wasn't cleaned, used glasses weren't replaced, and coffee pot was not cleaned out after use. We mentioned this to front desk staff - they said they'd talk to housekeeping
We had a private patio with a gas fireplace.

It was charming and felt very safe and clean. Room was a bit small, but just lovely.
We had a very nice room with a fireplace. The location was great, we walked to dinners and brunches just around the corner. The walls are paper thin! I could hear the couple in the room to our right talking at 1am, not yelling, just talking in normal voices. At 6am I was woken up to a baby crying in the room to our left. I also heard a man coughing up phlegm and spitting.
Lovely room, fireplace, nice breakfast. extremely helpful staff. Nice window to courtyard below but could hear conversations from the courtyard
beautiful room and office area. staff was a big help for a very late check in,
The hotel was located very close to all the amenities in downtown Calistoga. We could walk to all the restaurants and shops. The access to the bike rental shop was very convenient. The Inn was charming and unique. I liked the layout and private patio. The carpets and wall paper needs to be replaced - the pink carpet was quite stained and old and the seams in the wall paper are pealing.
Very Cute! The fireplaces are a great feature. Great location to walk downtown.
Room was clean Room was small
Grand 'old lady' of a hotel in a super location in a loely town Sadly in need of an update. It is tired and appears to be living on a reputation of past glories. Restaurant closed for refit. A disappointing choice.
Breakfast, location, and spa looked great although we did not partake. Surrounding neighborhood in Calistoga is CA cool. Just the A/C room unit was a bit noisy...
The location and the spa services of the hotel We were upgraded to a queen suite, the room itself was poorly decorated, the bed had huge dip in the middle of the bed and the t.v. did not work.
Very comfortable accommodations. Downtown Calistoga location close to restaurants and shops. Friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Mount View Hotel and Spa. Minor comments: the bathroom could use some additional clothes/towel hooks and another shelf for personal bath items. A light in the closet would be nice.
I like the staff. the decor, that the pool and spa can be used 24 hours a day. The small continental breakfast was yummy.
Location was good. The poll area looked nice bit we did not use it. Same with the spa. No elevator, little parking which was on an alley. Tiny dated rooms.
everyone was very pleasent. I will go back no
I visited with my family (including 7 and 2 years daughters). We enjoyed heated pool and Jacuzzi. This hotel is located main street of Calistoga, and easy to access many restrant and shops. All staffs have hospitality. The room was very clean. We made good memories in Calistoga. Only bad point was noisy air conditioner (room 111). (Sometimes noisy, and sometimes OK) That should be repaired.
Location and ambiance Poor room lighting for reading. Would have preferred double/queen versus twin beds.
The location was great. The pool and spa were open 24/7. The rooms were small.
I have been to Calistoga many times and this location was within 1 block of the top bars, restaurants and events. Great location. The multiple pools were very nice. Great place.
The air conditioner worked great on some really hot days. The location, 1 block from the center of town, was excellent. The price to value was a little heavy on the price side.
The location was perfect & once they moved us to a new room, the room was beautiful When we got to the room and turn the lights on, cockroaches ran into hiding. We informed the front desk of the issue and they said they were aware of the cockroaches. They gave us a new room the second night
Location is great Over priced for what you get. Hotels charging that much have a food service. It was not the set up i thought it would be. Didn't feel safe that the locks weren't automatic hotel locks. Would have gone to a different hotel. Wont be back and not recommended
The pool and spas THE BED!! It was so hard we could not sleep. We had to remake the bed both nights by taking the top comforter off and using it as a mattress pad - and on the second night we added an extra blanket under the bottom sheet to try to make it tolerable.
The beautiful flowers and landscaping were magnificent and accented the amazing pools. The price was a little high, but we didn't check others.
This hotel was located in the spot! We never had to get in the car and drive. It was around the corner from the main street in Calistoga. And we loved the fact that the spa facilities were right there! That the pool closed at 10pm:-(
B&B owner was friendly and very good breakfast. Very good location. No lock on the main door of the house and no outside lock on the room. Very light slide lock on the inside of the bedroom door. Air conditioning is questionable. Bathroom very small and hard to adjust water temp in shower.
There is a peculiar smell like stale beer or feet. There are shared bathroom (toilet and shower) areas; there is a sink in each room (but not your own toilet or shower so bring flip flops- it's like being in a college dorm). There are no televisions in the rooms. This is bare bones and our group did not enjoy their evening nor did anyone sleep well. There is also no air conditioning.
