Exellent accomadtion very helpfull really funky rooms Nothing
Good experience. went especially for the Molin Rouge Room - wife thought it was brilliant! Bathroom was great as well.
Trés chic. Difficult to find - but normal route beside river was flooded ;-(
Room (Moulin Rouge decor) was very special! Car park was very tight.
nice staff in reception; spacious family suite Turkish sauna was ugly; in sauna area there was only one warm shower; there was no drinking water available in wellness area; pornographic trailer popped up in television without any warning
The staff were superb, as was the food nothing was too much trouble
The hotel is in a quite street and therefore I got a good nights sleep
Veryn nice comfortable rooms, pool was super. Fresh juice from oranges at breakfast In bthe bath room there is no drenage on the floor, typical german, After the shower you have to dry the floor with your towers!"#%&)(
Breakfast buffet and service were excellent. Rooms are spacious. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. No air conditioning, rooms were very hot and noisy. This hotel is *not* situated in a quiet area. We got a room on the street side of the hotel, although the hotel was almost empty. The railroad traffic during the night was very irritating.
All of the staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel is wonderful for experiencing Saarbrücken
Very delicious breakfast buffet. Comfort room only has a bigger bed. Partly inhygienic: small blood stains on bed clothes, dusty ventilation holes in bathroom.
close to downtown, clean, very basic rooms, nice breakfast rather tiny bathroom
The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent, and included in the price. The room had a good view across the road to the church, and there was no noise from the street in the morning. It was only 5 or 10 minutes walking from the station and was very easy to find.
Breakfast Poor Room facilities and bad Smell
Kind, helpful staff; very central location, overlooking Josephskirche, meant you could walk everywhere in town; fantastic organic/fairtrade breakfast. Our room was certainly not luxurious, and perhaps a little tired, but it was perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. A minor and fairly obvious point, but being in such a central position, and with a front-facing room, there was a bit of street noise at night. My wife says she didn't notice it, but I did.
Clean room, helpful staff Lack of parking
we wher right down town, also the owner of the hotel was very caring . all was good. loved a larger room but we gat great value for thr price
friendliness and central location the hotel is very nice and i have no bad remarks at all
Close to train station, excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, big wardrobe, clean, warm, free unlimited shower gel, internet in the room. The most remarkable thing was how kind the staff was. They allowed us to have breakfast on Sunday at 7AM, they have 24h reception desk, they gave us a discount because the credit card machine wasn't working.
on arrival we could not speak german and the night man could not speak english, but he was very good helping us to check in and find the way to the garage for our car, when we were checking out we were informed that we could only pay in cash because the credit card facility was not working as a result of this they did not charge us for the garage parking, which was very nice of them
The hotel staffs were friendly. Although some of them couldn't speak in English well (or at all), they somehow helped me kindly. There were neither an air conditioner nor a refrigerator. I could only use a small fan in the room.
Choice of food for breakfast.Garage parking for the car.Staff spoke English.
very friendly staff, central location
The Hotel is near the Train Station (400 meters), just in front of the main pedestrian Avenue with all shoppings, bookstores, NordSee restaurants, etc. There is also a SuperMarket inside the Train Station. The room and bathroom were hyper clean, the matress was excelent, the room decoration has good taste and the breakfast has good quality. If you can speak German everything will be easier.
Loved the downtown location; one block from christmas market. Room was small but comfortable. Tons of character in the building. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Queen bed is two mattresses together in a frame - sleeping towards middle of bed means youre falling into the crack! €5,90 for a bottle of water.
The waiter was very courteous and kind and waited for me till late in the evening despite my delayed arrival. The room was clean. The room was pretty austere. Even if it was very calm and clean I felt disappointed by the style there, especially as I had read the rooms have been recently refurbished. The hotel is among residential blocks and although I didn't explore the surroundings it seems far out of downtown (but this has to be checked).
There is easy access to the hotel from the Autobahn and it has a nice restaurant. There is no elevator. Parking is on a busy street in front of the hotel - first come, first served. The room small, the bathroom is small, the decor could best be described as "early bordello." Wired Internet cost an additional 4 Euros/day.
The staff, and especially Juergen & Claudia, is wonderful, and made us feel very welcome, treating us like family. I highly recommend this hotel.
Very friendly staff, nice location, free parking, very nice room, delicious breakfast.
Central location (about 5-10 minutes stroll to city centre); secure underground parking; excellent breakfast; reception/desk staff on 24/7.
Excellent service at this hotel. We felt welcome. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. The room was very clean and neat. Clean towels in the en-suite shower room. The continental buffet breakfast was good, varied and nutritious. Parking was in the street but gave us no problem. It was a short drive to the city centre.
It was close to the river and town centre. The bed and sheets were fine. I found it hard to locate the hotel - it is very easy to walk past. It was also expensive, seeing that the toiket and shower were shared. I was not over-keen on the vampirish painting of Kate Bush in my room.
The proprietor was more than helpful and cheerful. Nice touch to have chocolates on the pillow and helpful to have soap/shower gel in the bathroom! The room and bathroom was clean and well presented.Although small, it was adequate for an overnight stay. Parking was available in underground carpark for Euros 3 for the night, which made us feel happy to leave luggage and other stuff in the car. Good location: the hotel was only minutes from the tram stop and the River Saar and an easy (flat)walk (20 mins) to the town, which had plenty of shopping and eating facilities.Lift available although cramped for 2 with luggage! Not mentioned tp proprietor as it was only an overnight stop, but whilst the linen was clean, the quilt and pillows were feather with a 'used odour'. The Television had no english-speaking channels, which would not be enough on a longer stay, even if only cnn/bbc World Service.
Overall good impression
Nothing Hotel has no heating system, located on a noisy streat, staff does not speack any foreign language.
location rooms need refurbishement
Fair value for money. Easy walking distance from city centre. Area not the best. a bit stuffy smell.
Nice enough place to stay for the price in a fairly quiet area. Close to the rail station to get into the city. Bar/resturant didn't seem to be open in the evening, I didnt ask why.
Rooms were clean and tidy, breakfast was good Location discription incorrect. Claims to be Saarbrucken but is at least 4km from town centre
The cleanliness of the hotel room was excellent, the service was top class and the staff were very friendly. None.
Convenient location. Friendly service. Excellent breakfast.
A little hard to find the hotel.
No air con and the very close-by church started ringning its bells at 6am!!!
Very easy to find the hotel, well signposted from the motorway
Good location Room didn't have air conditioning
Close to the town centre. The squeaky/loose bed in the triple room, same as last year. Needs replacing.
- geographical location - poor breakfast - the person at the reception didnt know even 1 good restaurant where to go
very good cake at breakfast
Excellent location in the centre of town. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
great breakfast, homely atmosphere lack of information provided in the hotel, e.g. no maps of the area, details of local restaurants included name but no address or location, very narrow and squeaky beds, no bath, poor quality bathroom facilities (thin scratchy towels, shower very ineffective), no bar or minibar
Large room, good location close to center. Nice people. Old facilities, bathroom ect but useable. Hotel is ok but not value for money.
Breakfast / Informal atmosphere / Good communication Shower, because we could not stand in the bathtube,... The ceiling was too low
Close to the city centre Squeaky beds
Tthe staff was EXCELLENT--they helped us with our many problems with the Language, finding other dining places and facilities. Parking, etc. We went to Saarbrucken to put our daughter in the Klinik at Saarbrucken and had numerous minor problems and the staff and owner were very helpful with all of them. We would highly recommend this Hotel to everyone and would stay there again if we have to go back . It did not have air conditioning and it got hot on warm days.
Friendly staff. Breakfast ok. Welcome drink in bar at arrival. Near location to nightlife area in Saarbrücken. Biljard table available in hotel bar. The hotell is located in an old building and the room may need soom upgrade / renovation since it seems nothing was done for a very long time... tv poor channel selection if you do not understand German,
