The hotel is in a great location and within 10 minute walking distance to Pub St (main bars / restaurants area). The Pool is very nice and the hotel offers internet terminals for those travelling without computers. The rooms have a walk in shower. While the rooms are large and clean, they can be considered a litle on the dark side. With the decor being Khemer it cannot be regarded as modern and bright. For the rooms that do not face out onto the pool (Standard rooms) the noise from outside can be annoying,
The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The spa was very relaxing too. Plenty of space to hang clothes but not enough drawer space for other clothing items.
very clean,good location,near old market,
the staff was always very pleasent and helpfull, the spa experience is a good thing to enjoy after a hot day at the temples also the large and very clean pool, the room service is active and helpfull at any hour of the day or night, very impressed by the fact that they sent the driver to wait for us even if we did not asked for it - we were travelling with a 6 months baby and it was amazing that finally in Cambodia we find a hotel that sent us a car at the airport - in Bali and Langkawi we asked for a car but did not got one the breakfast was pretty poor as choices
Beautiful place to live in with greenery all over, staff was very humble very cordial very polite always smiling always ready to help i wish i had spent some more days there no regrets
Great location, easy waking distance of night life. However - although the hotel is exactly as described, it's utterly forgettable. It could be any hotel you've ever stayed in anywhere. The staff are great if you can get their attention ....you normally have to go ask for it! I gave up and went looking for a drink after sitting by the pool for 45mins. Beds are hard (but we found that everywhere on or travels ...except the Hanoi Metropole which is amazing).
Good location of the hotel closed to "Pub street" only 6 mn by foot, some restaurants nearby (I recomend you 'Nest' just in front), good price during low season, breakfast quality is ok bad insonorisation of the room, not possible to sleep after 7 am due to the noise but you should normally wake up to visit temples at this time so not a big deal, decoration is a little bit 'old fashion'
Giant swimming pool, Great spa.
The hotel is located close to the center of Siem Reap. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a wide range of food, from asian noodles to french bread and omlettes. The prices for the drinks and the food in the hotel was pretty high for cambodian standards. But never the less one could get cheap food and drinks from outside in the direct vincinity of the hotel.
The staff is outstanding--one of the best I've ever encountered. All of them couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms are comfortable. Pool is delightful. Overall, a very good stay and an excellent value. Wifi is way, way too slow. I'm talking sometimes 607 kb/sec. It was frustrating to wait and to sit close to the door to get a better signal. The lobby was only marginally better.
The staff was very friendly, good breakfast selection. You cannot beat the price for the location, a short walk to Pub Street were all the action happens. Great pool to hang at, room was comfortable, even had a balcony The lobby is never really "cool". The AC doesn't pump very well, but the room AC was just fine
Spacious and clean rooms. Great location in the city centre and walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars. Friendly personnel, very good breakfast buffet. I still don't understand how the "spa" works. We booked a massage at the hotel but ended up going to a small, old, rather "dodgy" massage place around the corner. Not recommended!
Overall satisfied. Internet is 25$ per day which I think is expensive
Phenomenal service, very nice but didn't have the feel of a corporate "5-star" chain hotel. Excellent location within Siem Reap. Looked at various other hotels while there and thought Shinta Mani resort was the best overall value.
The positive: Quiet, comfortable resort with fantastic staff. The setting just feels calm and peaceful. The small details are where the resort is lacking. The food at the restaurant is entirely unimpressive, with a very limited variety and only decent quality. It is nearly impossible to get a good temperature set in the showers (at least in the two rooms we occupied). The little things that mean so much are simply lacking, with the price being very high for the area.
The design of the hotel. The blend of nature and the modern architecture provided a balanced mix that felt homey and welcoming, but above all the Cambodian essence and culture still remained within, from the staff to the food to the art work. As for experience, fantastic! this magnificent staff allowed us to thoroughly enjoy, exploring the Angkor temples as well as the hotel itself, from booking our bikes to handing out refreshing towels after a long sweaty day. Great, hospitable staff. Always friendly and very helpful to ensure your stay is the best.
I like everything at FCC Angkor. This is my very favorite place to be on the planet at the moment. I left yesterday and am already plotting when I can get back to Cambodia and the FCC again
The atmosphere in the hotel was wonderful. Good situated a the river and to the city Siem reap. Happy hour from 5pm -7 pm at the hotel bar!! Good breakfast with very good capucino. We liked the swimming pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked it very much, because of the good atmosphere and the good setting. The rooms need to be renovated!!! The german guide unfortunately spoke only very, very less German, not to recommend!!! They wanted to charge for the free shutle bus, but after a discussion the shuttle was free of charge as in the conditions descriped.
