Good location and very nice bar. Bistro is a good option if you do not want to walk into the City. Not the cheapest option in Lille (but you do get what you pay for). Traditional room we had was also pretty small.
The room was smaller than implied on website
Great welcome, excellent decor, comfort etc and a great restaurant
The large central atrium and general design and style. No
we could benifit from an extraordinary promotion from your site...otherwise we find the hotel would on the expensive side even with all what it offers...
Interesting decor Delicious lunch Think it would be a good idea to extend the menu, so that lunch and dinner not the same on the same day
Comfortable, well run, helpful professional staff Car parking not the easiest
It is nicely designed, the setting and bar area is very relaxing. Nice & quiet location. Room confort was not exactly what I have expected (e.g. in order to switch off the lights, you have to get up from your bed!!). Very limited selection of English speaking TV channels. The language skills of the staff is also not sufficient for such a deluxe rated hotel!!
A very stylish hotel and a beautiful building. Comfortable beds and Clarins products in the bathroom! Breakfast was a fairly small choice considering its a 5*
The rooms were very good, comfortable and quiet. I would like to stay there again. My husband suffered from backache just the evening before we had to leave to Paris to catch the plane. At the reception I asked a desk clerk if it was possible to stay a little bit longer than check out time. He offered us to keep the room one hour longer than check out time but he also said he would charge the room if we decided to stay longer than the given time. For us, it would had been a great help to have the room for two hours rather than just for one hour. In a five star hotel, which was definitely not overbooked, it should be all right to keep the room a little bit longer because of illness (because of backache it was very painful to sit in the foyer and wait for the taxi).
Good location, easy for parking in the hotel car park Room was small, smelt stale, wall paper falling off the wall and plug sockets were loose and dangerous.
Clean, comfortable and good value for the price. Excellant location for Eurostar and city centre.
location, close to eurostar and the city shops lack of facilities to make hot drink . very hot had to sleep with window wide open even when it was snowing!
Convenience, very close to ESC Lille, shopping centre, city centre, train stations. The staff was very kind and helpful. the room can get a bit noisy early in the morning, it's too close to a busy avenue. And if you shut the windows the room gets too hot.
Hotel Lille Europe is well located for a stopover related to Lille Europe station. The room was very dark, seriously overlooked by the shopping centre behind the hotel, and rather cramped.
Good location - near Lille Europe station and city centre. Good basic rooms and good value buffet breakfast. None
Friendly staff, everybody spoke english and was very helpfull No Wi-fi in rooms.
helpful staff. parking no tea or coffe in room. only i meat and i cheese at breakfast
The best point of the stay was the breakfast room which has a lovely outlook.
Good location, cheap, free internet. Late check in, at 15.
Conveinience for Lille Centre
Great location, clean comfortable room and helpful staff and the bonus of a really good breakfast Bar closes at 11pm??
Location is very good and own parking a plus. The professional and helpful staff are the hotel's greatest asset. Although the ground floor public spaces are first rate the decor in the rooms and corridors is tired and needs a revamp. Old carpets in the lifts, corridors etc and tired bathroom fittings etc are not up to the price bracket for this hotel.
The bar with the pianist The view from the room - looked out on to roof. Asked to change but staff unaccommodating and unfriendly
Over priced, very disappointing. No air con in a room charging 150 Euros. not recommended, our room was a good size but very 'tired'. You even had to pay for the internet access in the reception area. I formed the opinion that this hotel wanted every penny from you. I would not recommend and I would not stay again.
Very comfortable hotel, relaxing and very appealing.
- most rooms do not have air-con - internet access is very expensive - room service list is short - food is not good - takes forever to get served in the bar
The building is beautiful and, for the Braderie weekend, quiet. The room was large and well situated within the building. Dining facilities were limited and, being Braderie weekend, overbooked. Perhaps we should have been warned about that. Also,in spite of advance booking through a "value for money" site, we were charged the highest room rate. I was not aware I was booking a suite, since it was called a superior ROOM! We did not need a suite and that was a waste of my money.
Polite staff, very clean room Bathroom basic
the building. the surroundings. The dinner on Wednesday 1 August. The beds were very hard..Breakfast could have been much better.Dinner on Thursday 2 August was very poor indeed.
The bathtub was huge and deep. I was in town for sports and it was nice to be able to take a bath after a long day on the field. The bed was also very fluffy and comfortable. The location was perfect and the staff were all incredibly helpful as well. Room service was very limited and not very good quality. The bar downstairs can get very loud which makes it tough to sleep if you're there over the weekend. The climate control in the room was locked and the set temperature was a bit too high for my tastes. The rooms are also quite small.
Car Park entrance / exit very tight with a large car
The reception staff as well as the bar staff were friendly & helpful.
Very little....... the room was clearly only designed to take two beds and would have been cramped at that, it wasvery small. When we booked a 3 bedded room we expected to have a room suitable for such a use The clear misuse use of a 2 bedded room for 3 bed use, this was a mis-representation of what was originally offered, we therefore only stayed one night instead of two. We would not recommend this hotel for these reasons to anyone else
clean rooms, quiet for sleeping but rooms were quiet small the breakfast room had 2 coffee machines but only 1 worked so there was a lineup, then the the working one quit working
When we discussed our concerns re over the quality of services the staff we dealt with were very u.derstanding but in the absence of the manager on the night and again the next morning ,were unable to confirm a refund for the one night of the stay The quality of the room was extremely poor, bed uncomfortable, bathroom poor, room overlooked a rubbish tip. There was no evidence of the good French cooking one hears of as our food wa still frozen solid when it was served We were booked to stay for 3 nights but checked out after one, sadly we could not get away quick enough
City centre location.
Reasonable value and location Rooms very small, no space to open two sets of luggage in a twin room!
Very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to provide information. I stayed in room 316. Comfortable. However, the shower was really terrible. The thermostat was so bad that I was either frozen or scalded.
Hotel is old and needs to be renovated!!!!
visit the town
Proximity to the centre, lots of restaurants, Christmas market. Lovely big room. No information given on restaurant opening times. No wash hand basin in the toilet which was separate and around the corner from the bathroom.
It was central for our needs for one overnight stay
great location. large rooms. friendly staff. nice breakfast. assisted with childs additional bed. smelly room and toilet.
Location, old fashion but comfortable It smells cigarette everywhere...
very nice & comfortable hotel The nearest car park remained closed untill 12 noon on sunday and we were not informed about this
Room was fabulous, overlooking the Grand Place. Well worth the supplement. Room large and bathroom very spacious. The bar is a night club and although music stopped at midnight it could be heard throughout the hotel.
Location was excellent, 15 mins walking from Lille Train Station, close to Grand Place, lots of shops and restaurants around. floors and furniture a bit old, it needs renovation works. A bit expensive for what they offer, but I guess you are paying the location.
Mainly the staff, very welcoming and friendly. Really helped you. Nothing
Asked five times for a tray of coffee making facilities before we actually had one put in our room
The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and luxurious. The room was furnished very pleasingly. The staff in the breakfast room were also very warm and charming. The toilet room was not very well ventilated.
the location of the hotel was very convenient for the Eurostar and only 10 minutes walk into the city centre. We had two evening meals during our stay in the hotel restaurant. The food was very good and excellent value.
It was a nice big room with a good view. It was also very conveniently located not just for the station but also for the main town. The design inside and out is very nice. The bed was a bit too soft. It felt very much like a business hotel and could be made a bit more welcoming to attract tourists.
The front office, specially Mr. Ghanmi (?) and the other lady, sorry cannot remember, were very friendly and helpful. The bartender Luc was outstanding. In a hotel, from my experience, if the staff are warm and friendly , that takes the edge out of everything. The dining is too limited and constrained, menuwise.
large spacious room, very quiet, very good bed, extra clean bathroom
Service level of the staff
Clean, location to rail and City. Big modern rooms. Air condition.
Staff were helpful, room very nice, excellent location
Very pleasant spacious room (903) The airconditioning was not good - temperature in room was too high to sleep comfortable
The views over Lille from a Privilege room, good location in quietness.
The hotel was very conveniently situated outside the main railway station and a short walk (10 minutes) from the centre of town. The room we had was spacious clean and had a view over the city (with the station in the foreground of course!) It was difficult on arrival to find out where to stop to check in. We had to drive round a couple of times (a very busy road runs in front of the hotel) before we parked on a taxi rank several hundred yards away and walked to the hotel to ask staff. Reception then directed us to the station car park which was 20euros a day with no discount for guests. There were no other parking options. Felt that 200euros a night was a bit steeep but is was in an ideal situation. Entry to the lifts from reception was by use of your room card. Managed to crack the system on day two but it is a little confusing - until you read the instructions!! Also a waste of time as you could always wait for the next lift coming down and enter without using your card.
The room was comfortable, and good for the price, it is also situated in the old part and very quite area one comment is that only one english channel was available , these could be increased since only french stations were available
Its location: in the centre of the old city No
Extra charge for basic continental breakfast annoying as room rate high enough to cover
It was nice and quiet also the arrangement of the beds and room
Location in old town, quiet except for when they had a big late event at the hotel! Rather impersonal
Hotel staff was very friendly. Hotel is good located in the centre of Vieux Lille.
convenient location , formula with parking and breakfast included is good value for money Breakfast was ok, but already 1:30 hrs before end breakfast, eggs, bacon, cheese, ham etc were finished, however, there was plenty of other breakfast items (Danish, flakes, croissants...)
location, service, breakfast little noisy from other rooms and elevator
Friendly staff very good location excellent rooms
Very convenient location and superb restaurant just down the road.
Håndvask i toilet rum
friendly and helpfull staff, flexibility of timetable no elevator, no hangers for towels
central location, nicely renovated, nice "salle de séjour" rooms are rather small, but with modern equipment, air-conditioning is used for heating (which worked fine in the room I had)
Right in the middle of the city. Perfect for a weekend break!
Small, clean hotel in the centre of the city!!!! In tha bathroom there were now hangers to hang on towels etc ...
On arrival the hotel looked strange and when you climbed a set of stairs the reception area was small but the room was very comfortable and quite sizable plus the hotel was well placed for sightseeing, restaurants and shopping
It was very clean and in the very city centre No lift and a lot of stairs, not really practical for heavy luggage.
Good location, close to Rail Stations, which was essential to me wasn't really easy to find it from the first time. Numbers of buildings in Lille are rarely seen and hotel is situated a bit aside of the street. So the main thing is to find KOOKAI shop and hotel is just on the right next to it.
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location. We stayed in the privileged room no 104. As we investigated next day, it was the only room from the Privileged range on the 1st floor that had ridiculously small bathroom. "Small" is actually a massive understatement - the layout was awkward and one needed to do some gimnastics to pass the sink to get to the toilet. Once in place the sink could be used as a head support... Additionally there was a bad smell from drains in the room. This room 104 shouldn't be classed as Privileged. If we were placed in one of the other Privileged rooms with normal bathroom I would give the room high grade.
The rooms on the lower floor can be noisy
The hotel is newly-renovated - very stylishly - and the superior double room that I had was large and comfortable and overlooked the street leading to Place du Rihour. The hotel's location is fantastic - easy walking distance from the main train and local metro stations and to key sights. Generally, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the young woman on reception and the housekeeper. The only aspect about my stay that I didn't like was the noise made by the delivery/cleaning trucks that started to arrive in the normally pedestrian-only streets between 6 and 7 am.
